Awa Shrine (安房神社, Awa Jinja) is a Shinto shrine in the Daijingū neighborhood of the city of Tateyama in Chiba Prefecture, Japan. It is one of two shrines claiming to hold the title of ichinomiya of former Awa Province. The main festival of the shrine is held annually on August 10.

It is located outside the city of Tateyama in Chiba Prefecture, Japan, at the southern tip of the Bōsō Peninsula.It also has a shorter runway because the airbase is only used for helicopters and planes only fly to Kisarazu airfield which is the only base nearby

Tateyama Castle (館山城, Tateyama-jō) is a Japanese castle located in Tateyama, southern Chiba Prefecture, Japan. At the end of the Edo period, Tateyama Castle was home to the Inaba clan, daimyō of Tateyama Domain, but the castle is better known for its association with the former rulers of Awa Province, the Satomi clan. The castle was also known as "Nekoya-jō" (根古屋城).

The dam impounds about 9 ha of land when full and can store 630 thousand cubic meters of water. The construction of the dam was started on 1971 and completed in 1977.

Shirahama (白浜町, Shirahama-chō) was a town located in Awa District, Chiba Prefecture, Japan. As of October 1, 2004, the town had an estimated population of 6,027 and a density of 353 persons per km2. The total area was 17.07 km2.

Aki (安芸) was one of two Satsuma-class semi-dreadnought battleship built for the Imperial Japanese Navy (IJN) during the first decade of the 20th century. She was the second battleship built domestically in Japan and the first to use steam turbines for propulsion. The ship was named for Aki Province, now a part of Hiroshima Prefecture. The ship saw no combat during World War I. Aki was disarmed in 1922 and sunk as a target in 1924 in accordance with the terms of the Washington Naval Treaty of 1922.
