Lancaster High School is located in Lancaster, South Carolina, a small city approximately 35 miles from Charlotte, North Carolina. The school serves students in grades 9–12 with a program that provides AP and honors classes, college preparatory classes, a vocational/technical program, and range of classes and services for students with special needs. It is operated by the Lancaster County School District. The new school building was built and opened in 1993.

Lancaster County Courthouse is a historic courthouse in Lancaster, South Carolina. Built in 1828, it has been in continuous use since then. It was designated a National Historic Landmark in 1973, as a possible work of Robert Mills, an important American architect of the first half of the 19th century. It also has the distinction of being the site of the last witch trials to take place in the United States.

The Lancaster County Jail is a historic former jail building at 208 West Gay Street. Built in 1823, it is a virtually unaltered work of the noted early American architect Robert Mills, and reflects innovative changes in jail design promoted by him. It is individually listed on the National Register of Historic Places, and was declared a National Historic Landmark in 1973.

Lancaster Presbyterian Church, also known as The Old Presbyterian Church and Cemetery, is a historic Presbyterian church on W. Gay Street in Lancaster, Lancaster County, South Carolina. It was built in 1860-1862 and is a brick, Basilican plan church. The interior walls are stuccoed and scored to resemble stone. It is thought to have been the first brick church in Lancaster County. It was purchased in 1976 by the Lancaster County Society for Historical Preservation, Inc.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1977.

Lancaster Downtown Historic District is a national historic district located at Lancaster, Lancaster County, South Carolina. It encompasses 12 contributing commercial buildings in central business district of Lancaster. The buildings date from about 1880 to 1935. It is the most intact section of Lancaster's early business area. Notable building include the United States Post Office, the Springs Block, the Farmers’ Bank and Trust Company Building, and the Bank of Lancaster/Opera House.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1984.

Lancaster Cotton Oil Company is a historic factory complex and national historic district located at Lancaster, Lancaster County, South Carolina. It encompasses five contributing buildings and six contributing structures associated with the Lancaster Cotton Oil Company established in 1907. The Lancaster Cotton Oil Company office and seed house burned in 1913 and were replaced as the company continued to grow. After the post-World War I decline the Lancaster and Kershaw cotton oil mills were among South Carolina's larger and more centrally located mills which survived into the 1930s and 1940s. Contributing resources include the Seed and Hull House (1937), Cotton Seed Processing Plant (1907), Oil Storage Tanks and Shed (1907), Cotton Gin (1907), and an office (1907).It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1984.

Robert Barnwell Allison House is a historic home located at Lancaster, Lancaster County, South Carolina. It was built in 1897, and is a rectangular, two-story, frame clapboard covered Queen Anne style dwelling. It has a tall, hipped roof with intersecting gables and diamond novelty shingle covered gable ends.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1990.

Leroy Springs House, also known as Lancaster City Hall, is a historic home located at Lancaster, Lancaster County, South Carolina. The original section was built in 1820–30. The house was greatly enlarged in the mid-1850s and it took its present appearance in a 1906-07 remodeling. It is a two-story, frame residence. The façade features a two-tiered pedimented portico defined by fluted columns with Doric order-influenced capitals. The building was converted to municipal use as a city hall in 1957.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1986.

Lancaster Mill is an unincorporated area and former census-designated place (CDP) in Lancaster County, South Carolina, United States. The population was 2,109 at the 2000 census. With the growth of the neighboring city of Lancaster via annexation into the Lancaster Mill area, the remaining unincorporated area was not listed as a CDP in 2010.

The University of South Carolina Lancaster (USCL or USC Lancaster) is a public college in Lancaster, South Carolina. It is one of the four regional Palmetto Colleges in the University of South Carolina System. It is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges and offers associate degrees and bachelor's degrees. As of 2017, more than 1,900 students attended the college at its campus in the Piedmont region of South Carolina. USC Lancaster is governed by the University of South Carolina Board of Trustees. The campus has four local affiliate groups: the Lancaster County Commission for Higher Education, the Educational Foundation of USC Lancaster, the USC Lancaster Board of Visitors, and the Town Gown Advisory Council.

Springdale is an unincorporated community and census-designated place (CDP) in Lancaster County, South Carolina, United States. The population was 2,574 at the 2010 census, down from 2,864 at the 2000 census.

Craig House is a historic home located near Lancaster, Lancaster County, South Carolina. The House was originally owned by John Craig, Esquire, whose family originated in southwestern Scotland, immigrated to South Carolina from Northern Ireland in 1772. After receiving a land grant in Lancaster County from King George III, Craig bought additional land in the Waxhaws in 1773.John Craig, Esquire and several of his sons fought in the Revolutionary War battles that occurred in the vicinity. The current Craig House dates from the early 1830s, and was originally a federal-style farmhouse. In 1901, it was significantly enlarged with a Victorian front addition by John Edgar and Amanda Drennan Craig, who were married in 1883 at Kilburnie, then the residence of the Drennans.John E. Craig Jr. inherited Craig house after the death of both parents in 1989. His twin brother Bill Craig restored the house over a two-year period. in 2002 a wing was added in the back to accommodate the furnishings of the vacated Manhattan apartment. The old kitchen was removed in 2015 and replaced with a two-story addition and elevator. The fields and woods surrounding historic Craig House are all part of pre-Civil War Craig Farm, which included more than a thousand acres of the area between Highways 200 and 521 from Montgomery Lane to several miles north of Cane Creek. Craig Farm today consists of close to 400 acres, owned by the five siblings of the current Craig generation and Johannes Tromp, and is operated as a cattle farm by Bill Craig, the twin brother of Kilburnie partner John Craig.The House is a two-story, originally L-shaped, frame clapboard covered frame dwelling, with several rear additions. It features a porch and second story balcony.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1990.
