Augsburg Eiskanal

Augsburg-Hochzoll station is a station in the Hochzoll district east of central Augsburg in the German state of Bavaria. Directly west of the station the Paar Valley Railway separates from the Munich–Augsburg railway running from Augsburg Central Station (Hauptbahnhof). It is classified by Deutsche Bahn as a category 3 station.

The Botanischer Garten Augsburg (10 hectares) is a municipal botanical garden located at Dr.-Ziegenspeck-Weg 10, Augsburg, Bavaria, Germany. It is open daily; an admission fee is charged. Today the garden contains a large Japanese garden, a medicinal plant garden, rose garden, and a crop garden. All told, it includes over 3100 species and varieties of perennials, wild herbs, grasses, and ferns, with 280 species and varieties of roses, about 1200 species and varieties of plants under glass, and more than one million onion plants. Other points of interest include cacti, euphorbia, and succulents, as well as a sage garden and climbing plants.

Augsburg Zoo is a zoo located in the city of Augsburg in Bavaria, Germany, and with over 600,000 visitors annually, the zoo belongs to the 20 largest Zoos in Germany. Augsburg Zoo holds 1,600 animals belonging to 300 different species. Of those animals, the zoo keeps 100 reptiles and amphibians from 25 species. The zoo is involved in the 18 European Endangered Species Programmes.

Friedberger Baggersee is a lake in Augsburg Swabia, Bavaria, Germany. At an elevation of 480 m, its surface area is 18 ha.

The tram system in Augsburg is the second largest tram system in Bavaria, behind Munich and before Nurnberg. The system is 49.8 kilometers long (30.9 miles) and runs five lines, with two special lines. The city border gets crossed in three places. Line 2 and Line 6 cross into Stadtbergen, and line 6 crosses into Friedberg. The line first opened in early May 1881, with horse-drawn trams. In 1881, there was an average of 61 million yearly passengers. In 1972, the trams were electric with overhead powerlines. The system is operated by Stadtwerke Augsburg (SWA), and integrated into the Augsburger Verkehrs- und Tarifverbund (AVV).

The Augsburg textile and industry museum, known by its acronym tim, is a museum in Augsburg a city in the south-west of Bavaria, Germany. It is situated in the Augsburger Kammgarnspinnerei, a former worsted spinning mill. The museum is an Anchor point on the European Route of Industrial Heritage.

Augsburg Technical University of Applied Sciences (German: Technische Hochschule Augsburg or simply THA) is a German university located in Augsburg. It was founded in 1971, but its institutional roots as an art academy go back to 1670. With more than 6,000 students it is one of the largest institutions of its kind in Bavaria. 153 Professors as well as 352 lecturers in 7 faculties are employed there. Currently 36 undergraduate and 12 master courses are offered. It hosts the de:Bibliotheca Augustana website which features a catalogue of electronic texts.

The Augsburger Puppenkiste (German for: Augsburg Puppetchest) is a marionette theater in Augsburg, Germany. It is located at the former Heilig-Geist-Spital in the historic center of Augsburg. Since 1948, the "Augsburger Puppenkiste" had been producing theatrical adaptations of fairy tales and serious pieces. In 1953, it began producing television series and gained nationwide prominence with productions, such as Jim Knopf und Lukas der Lokomotivführer and Urmel aus dem Eis.
