The Mahmood Mosque, (German: Mahmud Moschee) situated in Forchstrasse, Zurich, is the first purpose-built mosque in Switzerland. It is owned and run by the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community. The mosque has a minaret, the new construction of which is now banned in Switzerland by popular vote.The foundation stone was laid with a stone from the wall of the Mubarak Mosque, India by Amatul Hafeez Begum, daughter of the founder of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, Mirza Ghulam Ahmad on August 25, 1962. It was a sign of the emancipation of Muslim women, both then and now. The mosque was inaugurated on June 22, 1963, by the then President of the 17th session of the United Nations General Assembly, Sir Muhammad Zafarullah Khan, in the presence of the Mayor of Zurich, Dr. Emil Landolt. The mission in Switzerland was led by Mushtaq Ahmad Bajwa from June 1962 until January 1975.

The Zürich Tram Museum (German: Tram-Museum Zürich; TMZ) is a transport museum in the Swiss city of Zürich, specialising in the history of the Zürich tram system. The main museum site is located at the former tram depot, Tramdepot Burgwies. The museum also maintains a workshop at the much smaller former tram depot of Wartau.The tram museum is run by an association, the Verein Tram Museum Zürich, which has some 500 members, and is responsible for looking after the exhibits of the museum. The tram cars remain in the ownership of the Verkehrsbetriebe Zürich, the city-owned operator of the Zürich tram system.

The North American Native Museum, or Nordamerika Native Museum (NONAM), is a museum run by the City of Zurich, Switzerland. The museum specializes in the conservation, documentation, and presentation of ethnographic objects and artwork of Native American, First Nation, and Inuit cultures.

The Foundation E. G. Bührle Collection (Stiftung Sammlung E. G. Bührle) is an art museum in Zürich, Switzerland. It was established by the Bührle family to make Emil Georg Bührle's collection of European sculptures and paintings available to the public. The museum is in a villa adjoining Bührle's former home. In 2021 many works were exhibited on 20-year loan in almost a whole floor of the new extension of the Kunsthaus Zürich museum. There was controversy due to suspicions that many works were looted from Jews by Nazi Germany. The foundation was managed for decades by Bührle's son Dieter, who was sentenced to a conditional prison term of 8 months in 1970 for supplying weapons to the racist apartheid regime in South Africa.

Zürich Tiefenbrunnen railway station (German: Bahnhof Zürich Tiefenbrunnen) is a railway station in the Swiss city of Zürich. It is located on the Lake Zürich right bank railway line, and is situated on the shore of Lake Zürich, in the Seefeld quarter of the city.

The Botanical Garden of the University of Zurich (German: Botanischer Garten der Universität Zürich) is a botanical garden in the Swiss city of Zurich. It was opened in 1977 and is located at Zollikerstrasse in the Weinegg quarter of the city. The garden should not be mistaken for the Old Botanical Garden, located on the former zur Katz bastion in the city centre, which is also owned by the University of Zurich.

Zürich Rehalp railway station (German: Bahnhof Zürich Rehalp) is a railway station and tram stop in the Swiss canton of Zürich, on the boundary between the city of Zürich and the municipality of Zollikon. The station is located on the line of the Forchbahn (FB), which is operated as Zürich S-Bahn service S18. The station is operated by Verkehrsbetriebe Zürich and Forchbahn AG and is the first true railway station on the S18 outbound from its city terminus at Zürich Stadelhofen FB. Between Stadelhofen and a point immediately to the city side of Rehalp station, the S18 operates over the tracks of the Zürich tram network, stopping at selected tram stops. Beyond Rehalp, the service operates on its own dedicated right of way.On the opposite side of the Forchstrasse main road lies the turnaround loop and platforms for route 11 of the Zürich tram system, which operates over the same tracks as the S18 between Stadelhofen and Rehalp, but serving all intermediate tram stops.

Hirslanden is a quarter in the district 7 in Zürich. It was formerly a municipality of its own, having been incorporated into Zürich in 1893. The quarter has a population of 6,859 distributed on an area of 2.2 km2 (0.85 sq mi). Hirslanden is located on the western side of the Adlisberg.

Raetia ( REE-sh(ee-)ə; Latin: [ˈrae̯tɪ.a]; also spelled Rhaetia) was a province of the Roman Empire, named after the Rhaetian people. It bordered on the west with the country of the Helvetii, on the east with Noricum, on the north with Vindelicia, on the south-west with Transalpine Gaul and on the south with Venetia et Histria, a region of Roman Italy. It thus comprised the districts occupied in modern times by eastern and central Switzerland (containing the Upper Rhine and Lake Constance), southern Germany (Bavaria and most of Baden-Württemberg), Vorarlberg and the greater part of Tyrol in Austria, and part of northern Lombardy in Italy. The region of Vindelicia (today eastern Württemberg and western Bavaria) was annexed to the province at a later date than the others. The northern border of Raetia during the reigns of emperors Augustus and Tiberius was the River Danube. Later the Limes Germanicus marked the northern boundary, stretching for 166 km north of the Danube. Raetia linked to Italy across the Alps over the Reschen Pass, by the Via Claudia Augusta. The capital of the province was Augusta Vindelicorum, present-day Augsburg in southern Germany. The Mandarin Chinese name for Switzerland, 瑞士 (Ruìshì in pinyin) is a homonym of Raetia.

Strandbad Tiefenbrunnen is a public bath in the Swiss municipality of Zürich, being part of the historical Seeuferanlage promenades that were built between 1881 and 1887.
