The 2003 Chi-Chi's hepatitis A outbreak was an outbreak involving contaminated green onions (or scallions) at a Chi-Chi's restaurant at Beaver Valley Mall in Monaca, Pennsylvania, approximately 25 miles (40 km) northwest of Pittsburgh, from September to November 2003. The source of the contamination was green onions (or scallions) imported from three farms in Mexico. The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) stated the contamination happened during the distribution system or through the growing, harvesting, packing, or cooling process.

Lehigh Valley Mall is an enclosed super-regional shopping mall located in Fullerton in Whitehall Township, Pennsylvania in the Lehigh Valley region of eastern Pennsylvania. With 146 stores, it is the largest shopping mall in the Lehigh Valley and the ninth largest mall in Pennsylvania.The mall's anchor stores are JCPenney, Macy's, and Boscov's with Barnes & Noble as a junior anchor. In 2020, the mall also added a Dave & Buster's restaurant and video arcade.

Dent Hardware Company Factory Complex, also known as the D.W. Coombs Textile Machinery Company, is a historic factory complex located in Whitehall Township in Lehigh County, Pennsylvania, built between 1894 and 1913 and consisting of eleven reinforced concrete buildings. The company was the nation's leading producer of brass refrigerator hardware and one of the two largest producers of cast iron toys in Pennsylvania.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1986.

Catasauqua station was a Lehigh Valley Railroad station in Catasauqua, Pennsylvania. It was located on the Lehigh Valley main line. Lehigh Valley service to Catasauqua began on July 4, 1855, roughly a month after the company opened its original line between Allentown and Easton, Pennsylvania. As was common for that era, it used a locally-constructed building. The company completed more permanent passenger and freight houses in 1861. One historian characterized the buildings in Catasauqua in the late nineteenth century as "rag-tag"; a state of affairs which came to end when a runaway railway car damaged the buildings in 1904. The new brick passenger station in Catasauqua was constructed in 1905–1906. Amenities included a waiting room, agent's room, and a baggage room. Economic hardship led to the station's closure on June 30, 1933. Some local trains continued to stop there into the late 1930s. The station building was demolished in 1941.

West Catasauqua is an unincorporated village in Whitehall Township in Lehigh County, Pennsylvania. Once a port and station along the busy Lehigh Canal, it is colloquially known as West Catty. It is part of the Lehigh Valley, which has a population of 861,899 and is the 68th-most populous metropolitan area in the U.S. as of the 2020 census. It uses the Whitehall Zip Code of 18052, and is directly across the Lehigh River from the mouth of Catasauqua Creek, the site of the first successful anthracite iron producing North American blast furnaces in 1839.

Catasauqua Creek is an ENE–SSW oriented creek draining 6.6 miles (10.6 km) (straight line distance) from springs of the Blue Mountain barrier ridge several miles below the Lehigh Gap in the Ridge-and-Valley Appalachians located upriver and opposite from Allentown in Lehigh and Northampton counties in the Lehigh Valley region of eastern Pennsylvania. The mouth of the creek outlets directly opposite West Catasauqua just below Race Street bridge across the Lehigh River, the latest of the several successor structures built to replace the original wooden bridge built in 1839-1840 to carry heavy wagons of iron ore to the new furnaces being built within the new village aborning as the Lehigh Crane Iron Company created the infrastructure to father the iron and steel industry of the Lehigh Valley. The head of the Creek begins in the Dannersville neighborhood of Bath at 40°44′16″N latitude 75°25′58″W longitude (or 40.737849,-75.432824), forming a steep sided ravine almost immediately as it gathers waters over its first mile. As it passes Sauerkraut Hill, it gathers two major tributary creeks and leaves a steeper terrain for a gentler run over the last four miles.

The Zodiac Club was a 13,000-square-foot (1,200 m2) live music venue located at 410 Allentown Drive in Allentown, Pennsylvania. Renamed Starz in April 1994, it was Lehigh Valley's premier venue for local and national bands. Dogged by a shooting outside the club and bankruptcy, the club closed in 1996. Some of the bands that performed at the venue included Green Day, Buddy Guy, Blue Öyster Cult, George Thorogood, Hootie & the Blowfish, Kansas, Joan Jett, Village People and Foghat.

The George Taylor House, also known as George Taylor Mansion, was the home of Founding Father George Taylor, a signer of the United States Declaration of Independence, in Catasauqua, Pennsylvania in the Lehigh Valley region of eastern Pennsylvania. The home was built by Taylor in 1768 and designated as a National Historic Landmark in 1971.The Borough of Catasauqua purchased the house from the Lehigh County Historical Society in 2009 and today sponsors events and offers tours of the property at the borough's southwestern corner near the historic Lehigh River Canal.

Hanover Township is home of Lehigh Valley International Airport, the fourth-largest airport in Pennsylvania, with 851,000 passengers annually as of 2020.

Biery's Port Historic District is a national historic district located in Catasauqua, Pennsylvania in the Lehigh Valley region of eastern Pennsylvania. The district was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1984 and includes 90 contributing buildings in the Biery's Port section of Catasauqua. The district includes mainly mid- to late-19th century dwellings, and some 2 1/2-story stone dwellings built in the early 19th century by Frederick Biery. Notable non-residential buildings include the Americana Hotel (1852) and Dery Silk Mill.

Helfrich's Springs Grist Mill is an historic grist mill which is located in Whitehall Township, Pennsylvania. The mill, which was built in 1807, is located along Jordan Creek. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1977. A boundary increase in 1999 added the Peter Grim House with NRHP reference number 99001288.
