It broadcasts with an ERP of 100,000 Watts from its broadcast tower on Mount Riante, south of Hot Springs in Garland County, Arkansas, where it shares tower space with sister station KLXQ. KQUS is owned and operated by US Stations, LLC, a local company that also owns KZNG, KLXQ and KLAZ in Hot Springs, Arkansas and KLBL in Malvern, Arkansas. With a 13.0 share (12+), US97 was ranked #1 of 21 in Arbitron Ratings Data for Spring of '11. The Van Lyell House, now the centerpiece of the Hamilton House Estate bed and breakfast, is a historic house at 130 Van Lyell Terrace in Hot Springs, Arkansas. It is a two-story buff brick structure, built with Mediterranean styling. It was built in 1931, at about the same time that Carpenter Dam was under construction, impounding Lake Hamilton on whose shores it stands. It was built by Van Lyell, owner of the Hot Springs Coca-Cola franchise.The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2004.

Garvan Woodland Gardens is a 210-acre (85 ha) botanical garden and woodland garden located at 550 Arkridge Road, approximately 6 miles from Hot Springs National Park in Hot Springs, Arkansas, United States. Owned by the University of Arkansas, it has the stated mission of education, research and public service. Hot Springs World Class High School (HSWCHS) is a public magnet secondary school located in Hot Springs, Arkansas, United States. HSWCHS is one of seven public high schools in Garland County and the sole high school of the Hot Springs School District. The school's 1914 facility is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and its academic programs include Advanced Placement (AP) coursework and International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme. It was a segregated school and Hot Springs refused to integrate for more than a decade after Brown v. Board of Education and when it finally did it made Langston High School refuse to provide busing to Hot Springs High School from African American neighborhoods, and largely excluded African American faculty from Langston and limited the activities of African American students.

Lake Hamilton High School is a public secondary school for grades 10 through 12 located in Pearcy, Arkansas, located near Lake Hamilton and Lake Catherine. LHHS supports more than 900 students with more than 50 educators.

The Cleveland Arms Apartment Building is a historic residential building at 2410 Central Avenue in Hot Springs, Arkansas. It is an L-shaped three-story building, finished in brick veneer. Its entrances are framed by a simplified Art Deco surround, and the Oakwood Street facade is adorned with the words "Cleveland Arms" in Art Deco lettering. It was built about 1945 through the effort of Thomas Cleveland, owner of a local insurance company, and was built using funding support from the Federal Housing Administration as housing for returning war veterans. It was designed by I.D. McDaniel, a local architect.The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2018.
