Les Orangeries of Bierbais is located in Hévillers, a section of the municipality of Mont-Saint-Guibert, located in the Wallonia in the province of Walloon Brabant in Belgium. The Orangeries of Bierbais were part, until the end of the 1980s, of the park of the Château de Bierbais. This part of the park, covering an area of 2.5 hectares, in the 19th century housed not only a collection of remarkable fruit and ornamental trees, but also monumental heated greenhouses of international reputation, the greenhouses of Bierbais, in the style of English gardens designed by the landscape architect Charles-Henri Petersen. Petersen lived at Bierbais until his death in 1859.Since 2019, the two remaining orangeries have been transformed into a third place hosting residences for artists and researchers as well as cultural activities, periodically open to the public.

Mont-Saint-Guibert (French pronunciation: [mɔ̃ sɛ̃ ɡibɛʁ]; Walloon: Mont-Sint-Wubert) is a municipality of Wallonia located in the Belgian province of Walloon Brabant. On January 1, 2012, Mont-Saint-Guibert had a total population of 7000. The total area is 18.63 km2 (7.19 sq mi) which gives a population density of 344 inhabitants per square kilometre (890/sq mi). In addition to Mont-Saint-Guibert itself, the municipality includes the villages of Corbais and Hévillers. Before the owners of Stella Artois brewery bought the business, Leffe beer was brewed in the village along with Vieux Temps. The brewery was subsequently closed and production was moved to Leuven in the Flemish part of the country. The commune is now fast developing with the arrival of many commuters who have moved from the capital city of Brussels. Chastre (French pronunciation: [ʃastʁ]; Walloon: Tchåsse, Walloon pronunciation: [t͡ʃɔːs]) is a French-speaking municipality in Belgium that is located in Wallonia, in the province of Walloon Brabant. Its name comes from the Gallo-Roman word castra "fortress, fortified camp", from the Latin castra which is the plural form of castrum meaning "entrenchment, fortified place".Chastre is a rural and at the same time residential municipality, with 7,684 inhabitants. Chastre comprises seven former villages: Chastre, Villeroux, Blanmont, Cortil-Noirmont, Gentinnes and Saint-Géry. It is crossed by the old Chaussée Brunehaut, a Roman way that connected Bavay to Cologne. Located between Ottignies-Louvain-la-Neuve and Gembloux, 40 km from Brussels, Chastre is well served by road and railway networks. A small river called the Orne passes right through Chastre. With its tributaries, the Orne creates enchanting landscapes, surrounding magnificent farmhouses, often still fully in use. Chastre's highest point has an elevation of 165 metres. The municipality is twinned with Lespignan, Hérault department, France (since 1998) and Saint-Denis-sur-Richelieu, Canada.

Alvaux Tower, also known as Tour d'Alvaux or Alvau or also called Saracen tower, is a plain residential tower of the late 12th century located in Nil-Saint-Vincent-Saint-Martin, a village in the Belgian town of Walhain, the province of Walloon Brabant. The tower stands in the village of Nil-Saint-Vincent, near Mont-Saint-Guibert south of the city of Brussels in Belgium. Alvaux Tower is a tower house built between 1183 and 1217 by Arnould II de Walhain. The land was yielded to him by Bertha, the abbess of Nivelles, in 1199. The tower was attached to Walhain Castle and had connections with the nearby Griffon du Bois Tower. When it was built it was surrounded by ditches and equipped with a drawbridge. On top there would have been a pyramidal roof. With this roof the tower would have been some 20 meters high. Today the tower is situated on a camping ground with access to the tower prohibited and to side the site is surrounded by marshland surrounded by two small arm of the river Orneau.

Blanmont Castle (Château de Blanmont) is a castle in Blanmont in the municipality of Chastre, Walloon Brabant, Wallonia, Belgium. The present buildings date from the 17th and 18th centuries, on an older site.

Court-Saint-Étienne (French pronunciation: [kuʁ sɛ̃.t‿etjɛn]; Walloon: Coû-Sint-Stiene) is a municipality of Wallonia located in the Belgian province of Walloon Brabant. On 1 January 2006 Court-Saint-Étienne had a total population of 9,408. The total area is 26.64 km2 (10.29 sq mi) which gives a population density of 353/km2 (910/sq mi) inhabitants . The municipality includes the following districts: Wisterzée, Sart-Messire-Guillaume, La Roche, Mérivaux, Suzeril, Faux, Limauges, Beaurieux, Franquenies, Le Chenoy, and Tangissart.

Biéreau Farm (French: Ferme du Biéreau, formerly Cense du Bierwart) is an old Brabantine farm now turned into a cultural and musical centre. It is located in Louvain-la-Neuve, part of the municipality Ottignies-Louvain-la-Neuve, in the province Walloon Brabant in Belgium. Like Lauzelle Farm (French: Ferme de Lauzelle), it gave its name to one of the four subdivisions of Louvain-la-Neuve.

The Louvain-la-Neuve Cyclotron is a brutalist architectural complex of the University of Louvain built from 1970 to 1972 in Louvain-la-Neuve, Walloon Brabant, Belgium, notably holding UCLouvain's CYCLONE particle accelerators. It is the first building completed by the university when it moved following the Leuven crisis and was the largest cyclotron in Europe at the time of its construction. The Louvain Cyclotron can also refer to Belgium's first cyclotron built in Louvain (Leuven) in 1947, which was replaced by the Louvain-la-Neuve center.In addition to two particle accelerators of the Cyclotron Research Center, the complex holds the UCLouvain Schools of Mathematics and Physics and corresponding research institutes, the Centre for Applied Molecular Technologies, the UCLouvain radiation protection service, a business incubator and a shared workspace.

The CECRI (Centre d'Etude des Crises et Conflits Internationaux) is a research centre at University of Louvain (UCLouvain), Belgium. Its central aim is to provide analyses and to conduct academic research on contemporary international crises and conflicts. It currently hosts 19 research members, plus associates, and the current head is Prof. Amine Ait-Chaalal.

Louvain-la-Neuve (French pronunciation: [luvɛ̃ la nœv] , French for New Leuven; Walloon: Li Noû Lovén) is a planned town in the municipality of Ottignies-Louvain-la-Neuve, Wallonia, Belgium, situated 30 km southeast of Brussels, in the province of Walloon Brabant. The town was built to house the Université catholique de Louvain (UCLouvain) which owns the entire territory of the town; following the linguistic quarrels that took place in Belgium during the 1960s, and Flemish claims of discrimination at the Catholic University of Leuven, the institution was split into the Dutch language Katholieke Universiteit Leuven (KU Leuven), which remained in Leuven, and the Université catholique de Louvain. To a great extent, it still lives following the rhythms of the university that is its raison d'être. However, with the construction of L'Esplanade shopping complex, the Aula Magna exhibition centre and auditorium, a large cinema complex, and five museums, it is beginning to grow beyond its academic roots.

The Faculty of Economic, Social and Political Sciences and Communication (ESPO) is a faculty of the University of Louvain, located on the campuses of Louvain-la-Neuve, FUCaM Mons and UCLouvain Charleroi. It originates in the School of Political and Social Sciences founded by Jules Van den Heuvel in Louvain in 1892. With over 6000 students, it is UCLouvain's largest faculty.
