The NHK Osaka Broadcasting Station (NHK大阪放送局, NHK Osaka Hoso Kyoku) is a unit of the NHK that oversees terrestrial broadcasting in both Osaka Prefecture and five other prefectures of the Kansai region. It is also the main station under the jurisdiction of NHK's Kansai region.

Tenjimbashisuji 6-chome Station (天神橋筋六丁目駅, Tenjimbashisuji Roku-chōme Eki) is located in Tenjimbashi Rokuchome, Kita-ku, Osaka, Japan. Nicknamed, "Ten-roku", it is located on the Osaka Metro Tanimachi Line, the Sakaisuji Line and the Hankyu Railway Senri Line (also through trains to the Kyoto Line). Until 1969 there was the terminal station of the Hankyū Senri Line named Tenjinbashi Station (天神橋駅) which opened in 1925. When the Sakaisuji Line subway opened, the station was replaced by the underground Tenjimbashisuji 6-chome Station. The station building (Ten-Roku Hankyu Building) and platforms remained until 2009, when the building was demolished to make way for high-rise condominiums. The world's largest covered shopping street, known as the Tenjimbashisuji Shotengai, begins at Ten-roku. It is 2.6 km (1.6 mi) long.

FM802 (エフエムはちまるに, Efu Emu Hachi Maru Ni) (call sign JOFV-FM) is a commercial radio station based at Daiwa Minami-morimachi Building in Tenjimbashi Nichome, Kita-ku, Osaka, Japan, broadcasting on 80.2 FM from Mount Iimori to Kansai region. As a latecomer to the radio broadcasting market, it was a focal point for FM802 to differentiate from existing stations. Therefore, rather than featuring music promoted by the productions, they chose to air tunes of their choice in heavy rotation. The station is considered the most popular among the younger generation in Osaka.FM802 was founded in September 1988, going on air in June the following year, with the call sign of JOFV-FM. The station is a member of the Japan FM League (JFL). It operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

It is close to the JR Osaka and Umeda Station, many restaurants, bars, izakaya, karaoke, massage parlors, host clubs, hotels, and shops concentrate in the area. Many salarymen, OL (office ladies) and students stop by Dōyamachō to have fun in the evening before they go back home. It is one of the largest entertainment districts in Japan. Dōyamachō has attracted a gay scene at a smaller scale than Shinjuku ni-chōme in Tokyo.
