Mont Clare is a station on Metra's Milwaukee District West Line in the Montclare community area in Chicago, Illinois. The station is 9.5 miles (15.3 km) away from Union Station, the eastern terminus of the line. In Metra's zone-based fare system, Mont Clare is in zone B. As of 2018, Mont Clare is the 145th busiest of Metra's 236 non-downtown stations, with an average of 303 weekday boardings. It is also the last outbound station in Chicago's city limits. As of 2022, Mont Clare is served by 14 trains in each direction on weekdays, by all 12 trains in each direction on Saturdays, and by all nine trains in each direction on Sundays. Mont Clare station consists of three tracks and two side platforms. The middle track has no platform, so stopping trains must use the outer tracks. Metra’s North Central Service trains use these tracks but do not stop.

The Brickyard, sometimes known as the Brickyard Mall, is a shopping mall located in Chicago, Illinois, U.S. Built in 1977 as an enclosed shopping mall featuring J. C. Penney, Kmart, and Montgomery Ward, it was redeveloped in 2003 as a strip mall. The center's anchor stores are Jewel, Target, Marshalls, and Lowe's. The Brickyard is owned and managed by CBRE Group.

As of 2018, Mars is the 175th busiest of Metra's 236 non-downtown stations, with an average of 144 weekday boardings.As of 2022, Mars is served by eight inbound trains and four outbound trains on weekdays. There is no service on weekends or holidays. All trains scheduled to stop here treat the station as a flag stop. Mars station consists of three tracks and two side platforms. The middle track has no platform, so stopping trains must use the outer tracks. Metra’s North Central Service trains use the tracks but do not stop. The station is named for the Mars, Incorporated candy factory located on Oak Park Avenue in the Galewood neighborhood, right behind the station. The Chicago Park District's Rutherford Sayre Park immediately sits west of the station. A Shriners children's hospital sits to the north of the station.

Elmwood Park is a station on Metra's Milwaukee District West Line in Elmwood Park, Illinois. The station is 10.2 miles (16.4 km) away from Union Station, the eastern terminus of the line. In Metra's zone-based fare system, Elmwood Park is in zone C. As of 2018, Elmwood Park is the 124th busiest of Metra's 236 non-downtown stations, with an average of 388 weekday boardings.As of 2022, Elmwood Park is served by 14 trains in each direction on weekdays, by all 12 trains in each direction on Saturdays, and by all nine trains in each direction on Sundays. Elmwood Park station consists of three tracks and two side platforms. The middle track has no platform, so stopping trains must use the outer tracks. Metra’s North Central Service trains use the tracks but do not stop. Just west of the station is the Grand Avenue railroad crossing, which is the longest grade crossing in the Chicago area. It is so long and at such an acute angle that drivers need to use extra caution when crossing the tracks. It is used by both Metra and Canadian Pacific Railway trains. Elmwood Park has built a kiss-and-ride drop off station on Grand Avenue. This allows cars to pull into the driveway and quickly drop off others safely. This is part of their plan to reconstruct Grand Avenue.

Steinmetz College Prep (also known as Steinmetz High School or Steinmetz Academic Centre) is a public 4–year high school located in the Belmont Cragin community area on the Northwest Side of Chicago, Illinois. Steinmetz is a part of the Chicago Public Schools district. The school is named for the German-American mathematician and electrical engineer Charles Proteus Steinmetz. The school opened in 1934. Steinmetz is an International Baccalaureate (IB) Programme school. The school has an active Junior Reserve Officers' Training Corps (JROTC).

Elmwood Park is a village in Cook County, Illinois, United States. The population was 24,521 at the 2020 census. The community has long maintained a large Italian-American population, with a more recent influx of Polish-American and Hispanic residents.

Galewood is a station on Metra's Milwaukee District West Line in the Galewood neighborhood of Chicago, Illinois. The station is 8.6 miles (13.8 km) away from Chicago Union Station, the eastern terminus of the line. In Metra's zone-based fare system, Galewood is in zone B. As of 2018, Galewood is the 157th busiest of Metra's 236 non-downtown stations, with an average of 246 weekday boardings.As of December 12, 2022, Galewood is served by 40 trains (20 in each direction) on weekdays, by all 24 trains (12 in each direction) on Saturdays, and by all 18 trains (nine in each direction) on Sundays and holidays. Galewood is located at grade level and consists of two side platforms which serve the outer two tracks. A third center track also runs through the station, to accommodate express trains. The tracks also carry Metra's North Central Service trains, though they do not stop at Galewood. A waiting room is available on the inbound side of Galewood station, but there is no ticket agent. This room has ample seating and is heated in the winter. An open shelter is on the outbound side of the station. Parking lots are located adjacent to and across the street from the station. Self storage businesses are located to the south of the station. A freight yard is located immediately east of the station. The land where the station now rests upon used to be where trackside utility poles were until circa 2000s when they were removed to construct the station, it was formerly located east of Narragansett Avenue.

Mount Olive Cemetery is located at 3800 North Narragansett Avenue, in Chicago.Mount Olive Cemetery was established in 1889. The cemetery was founded for Chicago's Scandinavian population.

Riis Park is a 56-acre park on Chicago's Northwest Side in the Belmont-Cragin neighborhood. The park is named for Jacob Riis, a famous New York City muckraker journalist and photographer who documented the plight of the poor and working class. Riis was designed to include a variety of recreational amenities for the middle class community that it served. It was developed in 1928 when a ski jump and golf course was installed. Chicago Architect Walter W. Ahlschlager designed the fieldhouse.The park was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1995 and the National Register Information System ID is 95000483.

Dunning is one of 77 officially designated community areas of the city of Chicago, Illinois. Dunning also is a neighborhood located on the Northwest Side of the city. The neighborhood is home to Wilbur Wright College, Mount Olive Cemetery, Zion Gardens Cemetery, and the Eli's Cheesecake factory.It is also the location of the Chicago-Read Mental Health Center, formerly known as Cook County Insane Asylum and commonly referred to, in its day, as simply "Dunning."

Wonder Works is a children's museum, a non-profit corporation established in 2002, located in the village of Oak Park, Illinois. It is the successor to the Children's Museum of Oak Park, established in 1993. The museum is dedicated to the principle of offering a fun, largely self-directed playing and learning place for children. Occupying its own building in one of the village's business districts, the museum attracted seventy thousand visitors in 2017. They enjoyed the facilities as drop-in visitors, as museum members, as birthday party invitees, or as special-event attendees. The museum funds its operations by means of the sale of visitor day passes, yearly memberships, proceeds from special events, and fundraising. Special events generally include value-added educational programs for adults and kids, with most special events being included with general admission. Wonder Works is managed by a board of directors comprising members of the local community; a CEO; DOO, museum floor managers; an education team, and a number of full-, part-time, or volunteer associates in various roles. The museum hosts an annual event called "Off the Wall", in which local teens created a mural under the direction of local artist Carolyn Elaine.

Chicago-Read Mental Health Center (CRMHC, often called simply Read) is a state-run inpatient JCAHO-accredited facility with between 150 and 200 beds located in the neighborhood of Dunning on the northwest side of the city of Chicago close to O'Hare International Airport in the state of Illinois. It has served the adult residents of Chicago under various names since 1854 as a repository for the mentally ill and destitute and as an alternative to incarceration for mentally ill offenders. Its former names have included the Chicago State Hospital and the Charles F. Read Zone Center; in 1885, it was called The County Insane Asylum and Infirmary. Originally, it was simply known as "Dunning" though "Dunning" officially closed on June 30, 1912, and reopened the next day as Chicago State Hospital. Much later, it became the Chicago-Read Mental Health Center. Read has faced a number of setbacks in its time. In 1885, the Chicago Woman's Club and other organizations in Chicago called for an investigation into the hospital to correct the many problems found there. In 1901, it was found that nurses had starved two mental patients to death there; in 1988, the director of the facility was dismissed under what were described as deplorable conditions for patients; in 1992, it was under investigation for civil rights violations and in 1993, Read lost its accreditation altogether.
