Brown Moss is a Site of Special Scientific Interest, Local Nature Reserve and important wetland area rich in wildlife close to Whitchurch, Shropshire. It is open to visitors and contains a number of self-guided walking trails. The name 'moss' derives from the local word for a peat bog.

Whitchurch was a rural district in Shropshire, England, from 1894 to 1934. It was formed under the Local Government Act 1894 based on part of the Whitchurch rural sanitary district. It included the parishes of Ightfield and Whitchurch Rural. The district was abolished in 1934 under a County Review Order. Ightfield went to Drayton Rural District, with Whitchurch Rural being split between the Whitchurch urban district, Wem Rural District and Drayton RD.

It covers the area (that is in Shropshire) to the south and southeast of the town of Whitchurch, including the villages of Prees Heath, Tilstock and Broughall. The civil parish population at the 2011 census was 1,533.It was created in 1894 under the Local Government Act 1894 from that part of the parish of Whitchurch which was part of the Whitchurch urban district. It formed part of the Whitchurch Rural District from 1894 to 1934, when it became part of the Wem Rural District. It then became part of North Shropshire Rural District in 1967.

Brankelow Cottage, also known as Brankelow Folly and Brankelow House, is a folly on the Combermere Abbey estate, in Cheshire, England. It is listed at grade II. Dating from 1797, it was originally a model dairy and later a gamekeeper's cottage with attached kennels. Described by Nikolaus Pevsner and co-authors as a "charming eyecatcher," the folly is ornamented with battlements, pinnacles, pilasters, arrowslits and fancy brickwork.

Sir John Talbot's is a mixed secondary school in Whitchurch, Shropshire, England, for pupils aged between 11 and 18. The most recent inspection report was in April 2017 and resulted in a judgement of good in all five aspects of the inspection In September 2014 the school reopened as an academy as part of The Marches Academy Trust with a new head teacher Mr David John O'Toole. Mr Tim Stonall was appointed headteacher in May 2020

The Churton Memorial Fountain stands on the west side of Brownlow Street, Whitchurch, Shropshire, England. It is recorded in the National Heritage List for England as a designated Grade II listed building.

Heath Road is a cricket ground in Whitchurch, Shropshire. The first recorded match on the ground was in 1982, when Whitchurch played Singapore in a warm-up match for the 1982 ICC Trophy. Shropshire played their first match at the ground in the 1999 MCCA Knockout Trophy against Cumberland. The following season they played their first Minor Counties Championship match at the ground against Herefordshire. From 2000 to present, the ground has hosted 10 Minor Counties Championship matches.The ground has also held a single List-A match in the 2005 Cheltenham & Gloucester Trophy, which saw Shropshire play Hampshire. Hampshire captained by Shane Warne, won thanks to 76 runs from Kevin Pietersen as Hampshire chased down their target of 133 in 21.1 overs for the loss of 3 wickets.In local domestic cricket, London Road is the home ground of Whitchurch Cricket Club who play in the Birmingham and District Premier League Two.
