Warrandyte High School (WHS) is a high school in Warrandyte, Victoria, Australia. Established as only a few portable classrooms in 1978, it now comprises two main buildings and many semi-permanent portables set on a hillside on the southern slopes of the Yarra River, west of the main township of Warrandyte. The majority of its 400 students live in Warrandyte and the surrounding region. The school is known primarily for its art and music curriculum and natural setting. It has a long history of annual musical theatre productions.

Currawong Bush Park is a nature park located in the outer eastern Melbourne suburbs of Doncaster East, Warrandyte and Donvale, along Mullum Creek. It covers 59 hectares of remnant bushland and contains archaeological sites significant to the Traditional Owners of the area, the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin nation.

The Pines Shopping Centre, formerly Stockland the Pines, is a sub regional shopping centre located in the north-eastern suburb of Doncaster East in the city of Melbourne, Australia. The centre is approximately 19 km east of the Melbourne CBD and is situated on the corner of Blackburn and Reynolds Roads. It was opened on 27 October 1986 by state opposition leader Jeff Kennett. Amenities at The Pines Shopping Centre include a library, community centre, medical centre, several banks, over 100 speciality stores and undercover parking.

The Mullum Mullum Creek Linear Park is located east of Melbourne, Australia in the suburbs of Doncaster East and Donvale. It stretches for roughly 9 km along the western banks of the Mullum Mullum Creek between Heidelberg-Warrandyte Road and The Eastlink Trail. Facilities include sealed pathways, barbecues and shelters. Other features include, bush walking tracks, trails and equestrian trails. Throughout much of the 1990s, extensive regenerative planting was conducted throughout the entire length of the park; this has restored much of the native riparian bushland within the park, most prominently the Mullum Mullum Wetlands.

The ERA School was a co-educational secondary school that opened in Melbourne in February 1971. The school was regarded as providing an 'alternative’ education curriculum. Attendance at lessons was not mandatory, and students could select their own study program. The school was loosely based on the Summerhill School in England that was founded by A.S. Neill. ERA was an acronym for 'Education Reform Association'. Students were able to wear casual clothes; there was no uniform. Students were allocated to “home groups” which were convened by specific teachers. The school was governed by a council, and there were occasional “general meetings” involving staff, students and parents to discuss school matters.

Mullum Mullum Creek is a creek in the outer eastern suburbs of Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. It is the main watercourse of the Mullum Mullum Valley, a tributary of the Yarra River and Yarra Valley. For tens of thousands of years it was used as a food and tool source sustainably by the Wurundjeri people, Indigenous Australians of the Kulin nation, who spoke variations of the Woiwurrung language group. It is one of the only watercourses lying within urban metropolitan Melbourne that is surrounded by native and regenerated bushland for almost its entire length, and is a significant remnant ecosystem in Melbourne. Around 80,000 people live in the creek's catchment area. The remnant bushland across its length provides habitat for significant species such as platypus, rakali, koalas, powerful owl, nankeen night heron, white-winged chough and yellow-tailed black cockatoo. In recent decades the creek and valley have been central in many of the issues in Melbourne's eastern suburbs, such as; residential housing estates, regeneration of native vegetation and most recently, Tollway construction. The Eastlink Tollway passes underneath the valley through 1.5-km of tunnels to avoid disturbing the remnant ecosystem through the Mullum Mullum Gorge, however through Ringwood, it crosses the creek above ground, resulting in the relocation of the creek through this area.

The Milgate Park Estate is a housing estate in Doncaster East, a suburb of Melbourne, Australia. The estate comprises 40 hectares of land situated around a section of Long Valley, a gully bed that no longer carries surface water, which flows northeast and into the Mullum Mullum Creek. The land was used for orchards from the 1860s to the 1970s when it was subdivided for residential housing. Land in the estate itself was released to the public in two stages, the southern area first, followed by the northern area. The estate is listed on the Register of the National Estate for historical importance, it is a rare example of the implementation of the planning principles of the Radburn principle traffic separation idea (known as the planning scheme for "towns of the motor age") which served as a precedent for the car-free movement. It included communal ownership of community facilities and extensive community parkland. Facilities include; a playground, two tennis courts, a netball court, football ground and playing facilities. The facilities are owned by the residents through a Home Owners Association. There is no through traffic and only Landscape Drive is not a court.

The City of Manningham is a local government area in Victoria, Australia in the north-eastern suburbs of Melbourne and is divided into 12 suburbs, with the largest being Doncaster and Doncaster East. It comprises an area of 113 square kilometres and had a population of 125,508 in June 2018.The district spans a roughly east–west direction along the southern banks of the Yarra River and across the undulating valleys of the Koonung, Ruffey and Mullum Mullum Creeks, alternating from typical low density suburban housing in the west to remnant bushland, within a green wedge, in the east. As such, the district encompasses the transition between the built and natural environments in Melbourne's east and promotes itself as a "balance of city and country".Formerly the City of Doncaster & Templestowe, the district is situated in the Wurundjeri nation's territory. Most of the first European settlers to the area were orchardists, arriving through the 1850s. Gold was first discovered in Victoria around the same time at Andersons Creek, in Warrandyte, however, the district saw varied growth as periods of low density suburban development occurred sporadically throughout the mid-late 20th century.

The Pound Bend Tunnel, or the Evelyn Tunnel, is a diversion tunnel on the Yarra River at Warrandyte, Victoria, Australia, approximately 24 km north-east of Melbourne. The tunnel is 145 metres long, six metres wide and four metres deep.The tunnel is in the Pound Bend section of the Warrandyte State Park.

Warrandyte South is a locality within Greater Melbourne, beyond the Melbourne Metropolitan Area Urban Growth Boundary, 25 km north-east of Melbourne's Central Business District, located within the City of Manningham local government area. Warrandyte South recorded a population of 671 at the 2021 census.It is bounded in the west by Ringwood Road, in the north by Anzac Road, in the east by Jumping Creek and in the south by Old Warrandyte Road.

Sweeneys Flats is a metropolitan park in Melbourne, Australia. It is located in the eastern suburb of Eltham. It is managed by Parks Victoria. Fauna include the swamp wallaby, sugar gliders and wetland birds such as egrets and herons.
