Ganna Walska Lotusland, also known as Lotusland, is a non-profit botanical garden located in Montecito, near Santa Barbara, California, United States. The (15 ha / 37 acres) garden is the historic estate of Madame Ganna Walska. The County of Santa Barbara restricts visitation via a conditional use permit: Lotusland botanic garden is open to the public by advance reservation only, with walking tours 1½ to 2 hours long.

The Tea Fire, also known as the Montecito Tea Fire, was a wildfire that began on November 13, 2008, destroying 210 homes in the cities of Montecito and Santa Barbara, California, in the United States of America. It was the first of several November 2008 wildfires that burned hundreds of homes from November 13–15, 2008. The Tea Fire ignited in the Cold Springs section of Montecito at approximately 17:50 PST on November 13, 2008. The fire started at a Mar Y Cel historic structure called the "Tea House" above Mountain Drive, giving the fire its name. Spreading rapidly, it was fanned by offshore winds, known as Sundowner winds, that blow down the Santa Ynez Mountains, gusting up to 85 mph (137 km/h). These winds caused the fire to spread into the city of Santa Barbara. The fire was 40% contained on the 15th, 75% on the 16th, and by November 17, 2008, it was 95% contained after burning 1,940 acres (785 ha), and on November 18, it was 100% contained. On November 15, 2008, Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger visited areas burned in the Tea Fire, noting: "When you walk around the area that was destroyed, it looks like hell."

Mar Y Cel, also known as Mar i Cel (Catalan: "Sea and Sky"), is an open space preserve conserved by the Land Trust for Santa Barbara County, in Santa Barbara County, California, USA. Located in the Santa Ynez Mountains foothills above Montecito, Mar Y Cel is a 350-acre (1.4 km2) estate. It includes the "Tea Gardens" as well as the West Fork of Cold Springs Trail, a well used hiking trail.

Val Verde, in Montecito, California, also known as the Wright Ludington House, is an estate which was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1995. The listing included five contributing buildings, 10 contributing structures, four contributing objects, and a contributing site, on 8.9 acres (3.6 ha).It is located at 2549 Sycamore Canyon Road in Montecito, which is adjacent to Santa Barbara. The house, built in 1918, is a two-story Mediterranean Revival style house, built of hollow clay tile and covered with a red-tiled hipped roof, arranged around an open courtyard patio. It was designed by architect Bertram G. Goodhue for fellow New Yorker Henry Dater Jr.The property was bought by Charles Ludington in 1925, after which Ludington, with architect Lockwood de Forest added landscaping, cottages, garages, an undulating wall, and a Spanish fountain around 1926. The property was inherited by his son Wright S. Ludington in 1929 or 1930.In 2009, the property was sold to Sergey Grishin (businessman). It has also been known as Dias Felices, as the Henry Dater house, and as the Dr. Warren Austin home. It was deemed significant as a "product of the opulent age in Montecito, California, from 1900-1920 when the rural town became noted for its substantial winter homes based on European residential models, commissioned by wealthy easterners and midwesterners from well-known national and regional architects."

Riven Rock is a residential subdivision in the unincorporated area of Montecito, California near Santa Barbara, California. The Riven Rock subdivision is located on the former Riven Rock Estate.

El Fureidis (Arabic for "Little Paradise") is a 10,000-square-foot (930 m2) historic estate built in 1906 on 10 acres (4.0 ha) in Montecito, California. Originally called the James Waldron Gillespie Estate or Gillespie Palace after its original owner, the Spanish Baroque & Neo-Mudéjar architecture is one of only five houses designed by the American architect Bertram Grosvenor Goodhue.The estate appeared in numerous hand-colored picture post cards from Santa Barbara during the 1900s–1950s highlighting Montecito's estates, the classical Persian gardens and Goodhue's unique architecture.

Gould Park is a public park located in Santa Barbara, California. It was a gift from Charles W. and Clara H. Gould in June 1926. This 360+ acre park has not been developed by the City since its acquisition. In 1932 the Southern California Edison company was permitted to construct and maintain a transmission line over the north end of the park. In December of the same year, the Park Commission discussed developing the land for recreational use, however the idea was dropped because only a small part of it was usable.

Parma Park is a park located in Santa Barbara, California. The park is situated on State Route 192 (Stanwood Drive) about one mile west of its junction with State Route 144. Highway 192 is the main foothill bypass of Santa Barbara, and goes past the now underground Sheffield Reservoir. The park itself is located in chaparral and oak-covered hills. The park is relatively primitive, with a handful of picnic tables; however it has several hiking and horse trails. The park is also the major landing zone for hang gliders and paragliders launching from Gibraltar Road. The majority of the park was burned in the Montecito Tea Fire.

KDB (93.7 MHz) is a non-commercial FM radio station licensed to Santa Barbara, California, and serving Santa Barbara County and Ventura County. It is owned by the University of Southern California and broadcasts a classical music radio format, simulcasting KUSC (91.5 FM) in Los Angeles. KUSC and KDB air periodic fundraisers on the air, seeking donations and members. KDB has an effective radiated power of 12,500 watts. The transmitter is off Gibraltar Road in Santa Barbara, located among the towers for other Santa Barbara FM and TV stations.

KJEE (92.9 FM) is a commercial radio station that is licensed to Montecito, California and broadcasts to the Santa Barbara and Oxnard—Ventura areas. The station is owned by James Evans under the name of licensee Montecito FM, Inc. and airs a modern rock format.

Casa del Herrero (also known as the Steedman Estate) is a historic house museum and botanical garden located in Montecito near Santa Barbara, California. It was designed by George Washington Smith, and is considered one of the finest examples of Spanish Colonial Revival architecture in the United States of America. It is listed on the National Register of Historic Places, and was designated as a National Historic Landmark on January 16, 2009. Today, the entire 11-acre (4.5 ha) site is owned and operated as a historic house museum and botanical garden by the 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, Casa del Herrero. The Casa del Herrero organization's mission is to restore and preserve the house and grounds for the benefit of the visiting public.

KTMS (990 AM, "News Talk AM 990") is a commercial radio station in Santa Barbara, California. It is owned by Rincon Broadcasting and airs a talk radio format. The studios are on East Cota Street in Santa Barbara. By day, KTMS is powered at 5,000 watts. But to protect other stations on 990 AM, a clear channel frequency, KTMS reduces power at night to 500 watts. The AM transmitter site overlooks Santa Barbara from near Rattlesnake Canyon Park, along Gibraltar Road, and above Gibraltar Peak, home of most Santa Barbara FM stations. The site is unusual, since AM stations are usually sited in low-lying areas, ideally with the highest possible high ground conductivity. This site is sufficiently close to the population center for even the low night power to serve the whole city. KTMS is simulcast on FM translator station K250BS at 97.9 MHz, licensed to Solimar Beach, and K247CN at 97.3 MHz in Mojave.
