Víznar

Píñar is a municipality located in the province of Granada, Spain. It is located at 46 km from Granada, and 11 km from Iznalloz, capital of the Comarca of Los Montes. It is home to the ruins of a large castle (likely founded by the Romans, and later re-used by the Moors), declared national monument, and to the Cuevas de las Ventanas, a group of caves. The Carigüela archaeological site is also located within the communal territory. Its sister city is Tetuán, Morocco.

Palacio Municipal de Deportes de Granada is an arena in Granada, Spain. Opened in 1991, the arena holds 9,507 people and it is primarily used for basketball and the home arena of Fundación CB Granada, since 2015. The arena hosted the 1999 UEFA Futsal Championship and the Group A in EuroBasket 2007. In 2014, the arena hosted the Group of Spain in the 2014 FIBA Basketball World Cup.

It borders the municipalities of Huétor Vega, Cenes de la Vega, Pinos Genil, Güéjar Sierra, Dílar, La Zubia and Cájar. Within the municipality of Monachil there are three distinct population centres: the old village, often referred to as Monachil Pueblo, the newer Barrio de la Vega and Pradollano, the resort village at the Sierra Nevada Ski Station. The ski station hosted the Alpine World Ski Championships in 1996, the 2015 Winter Universiade, and the FIS Freestyle Ski and Snowboarding World Championships 2017. The name Monachil comes from the Arabic منستير (monastir), a word of Greek origin meaning "monastery".
