Alhendín is a city located in the province of Granada, Spain. According to the 2005 census (INE), the city had a population of 5200 inhabitants.

Armilla is a municipality of Spain located in the province of Granada, in the autonomous community of Andalusia. It lies on the Vega de Granada, 4 km from the provincial capital's city centre. Armilla limits with the municipalities of Granada, Ogíjares, Alhendín and Churriana de la Vega. The biggest population growth registered was in the twentieth century.

The Monachil River is a river in the province of Granada, Spain. It is a tributary of the Genil. The river receives its name from the municipality Monachil, which the river passes through.The river has a route of about 26.5 km, and is born at the peak of Veleta, at an altitude of 2,640 meters. The Monachil river is characterised by the predominance of grassland and scrub without trees above its 750 m elevation. The thicket is made up of several species, including Genista, Crataegus, Rosa, Berberis, Lavandula, Salvia, Juniperus, Cistus, Ruscus, and Rosmarinus, accompanied by various herbaceous plants.

Vegas del Genil is a municipality in the province of Granada, Spain. As of 2009, it had a population of 7537 inhabitants.

The Park Federico García Lorca is a park situated in Arabial St., Granada, Spain. It is named after the Spanish poet Federico García Lorca. It is designed with many sunny alleys and palm trees. The park is opened to the public during daylight hours. Admission is free.

Parque de las Ciencias is a science center and museum, part of the European Network of Science Centers and Museums (ECSITE), located in the city of Granada, Spain. Under the motto "A new kind of Museum", Parque de las Ciencias was founded in 1990 and opened in 1995. The museum has been solely directed by Ernesto Páramo Sureda since its establishment and its successive expansions. It occupies 70,000 m2 and holds permanent and temporary exhibitions including: a planetarium, educational facilities, café, restaurant, bookshop, library, cinemas, etc. It also has a cultural gallery ranging from 50 to 550 in number. Some of the museum’s highlights are its Plastination Lab and Restoration and Production Workshops. Parque de las Ciencias council members consists of: The University of Granada, The Spanish National Research Council (CSIC), the local provincial and regional governments and The Caja Granada Foundation. Some of the museum’s exhibitions are its 'Windows to Science' and 'Live Science', which through crystal bounded spaces, provides the visitors with the experience of being in an actual lab.

The Casa-Museo Federico García Lorca, better known as Huerta de San Vicente, was the García Lorca family's historical summer home, from 1926 to 1936.The house and orchards are now at the heart of Granada's Park Federico García Lorca, which was inaugurated in 1995.

Line 1 of the Granada metro is a light rail line running from Albolote in the north to Armilla in the south, via Maracena and the center of Granada city. Today it has 26 stations and spans 15.920 km from end to end.In 2019 it received a total of 11.7 million passengers, which represents an increase of 15% compared to the previous year.

Las Gabias (commonly referred to as Gabia) is a Spanish city and municipality located in the central southern part of the Vega of Granada, in the province of Granada, in the autonomous community of Andalusia, approximately 8 km from the provincial capital of Granada. It borders the municipalities of Vegas del Genil, Cúllar Vega, Churriana de la Vega, Alhendín, La Malahá, Chimeneas and Santa Fe. Las Gabias includes the localities of "Gabia Grande", the municipal capital, and "Gabia Chica" that were a unified with the region in 1973, in addition to the annexation of Híjar, Los Llanos, Pedro Verde and San Javier. The name may have originated from Hisn Caviar, which means "military tower", in allusion to the one that still exists in Gabia Grande. It is one of the most populous municipalities in Spain as well as one of the youngest, with the median age of inhabitants being only 34.3 years of age. In 2016, the population of Las Gabias surpassed 20,000, making it the third most populous municipality in the Granada Metropolitan Area, surpassed only by Granada and Armilla.

The Alcázar Genil is a Muslim-era palace in the city of Granada, Spain. It was originally called al-Qasr al-Sayyid ("the palace of the lord") and is located beside the River Genil outside the city walls. Today, only a pavilion of the palace is preserved. It currently houses the Francisco Ayala Foundation.

Maracena is a municipality located in the province of Granada, Spain. According to the 2005 census (INE), the city has a population of 18819 inhabitants. It is located in the central part of the Vega de Granada, being one of the fifty-two entities that make up the metropolitan area of Granada.It borders the municipalities of Peligros, Pulianas, Granada, Atarfe and Albolote. Other nearby towns are Pulianillas and Monteluz. The Granada metro, provides the town with a light metro link to central Granada and other towns of the Granada Metropolitan Area. .
