Shuping's Mill Complex was a historic grist mill complex located near Faith, Rowan County, North Carolina. The complex included a two-story frame dwelling, flour and corn mill building, cotton gin house (1895), and two other contributing buildings. The mill was built in 1900, and was a 2 1/2-story frame building sheathed in weatherboard and on a stone foundation. It was destroyed in 1986 when a car crash sparked a fire. The original boiler still remains on the property. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982.

Zion Lutheran Church, also known as Organ Church, is a historic Lutheran church located near Rockwell, Rowan County, North Carolina. It was built in 1794, and is a two-story, stone building. A large bell tower was added about 1900; it is topped by a heavy octagonal spire with a weathervane. A Sunday School addition was built on the rear of the church in 1929.An earlier wooden structure commonly known as the "Hickory Church" (circa mid-1750s) was shared with Grace Church on the plantation of Jacob Fulenwiler, the current site of St. Peter's Lutheran Church. When Fulenwiler died in 1771, both churches moved to Grace Church's current location, with Organ Church moving to its own site in 1774.Organ Church was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1972.

Lyerly Building for Boys, also known as Nazareth Orphans' Home, Nazareth Children's Home or Nazareth Child & Family Connection, is a historic orphanage located at Gold Hill Township, Rowan County, North Carolina. It was built between 1913 and 1916, and is a two-story, front gabled, vernacular Gothic Revival style granite building. It has a steeply pitched parapeted slate roof. The building housed a school and chapel on the first floor with a boy's dormitory above.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1988.

Gold Hill Township is one of fourteen townships in Rowan County, North Carolina, United States. The township had a population of 10,015 according to the 2000 census. Geographically, Gold Hill Township occupies 32.29 square miles (83.6 km2) in southern Rowan County. Incorporated municipalities in Gold Hill Township include the town of Rockwell and portions of the town of Granite Quarry. The township's southern boundary is with Cabarrus County. Lyerly Building for Boys was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1988.

Faith is a town in Rowan County, North Carolina, United States, incorporated in 1903. The population was 807 at the 2010 census. Since 1946, the town has hosted a Fourth of July celebration that has become notably large for a town of its population – running for several days and drawing visitors from many states. The Faith Fourth achieved national visibility in 1992, when President George H. W. Bush not only made a speech praising small town virtues, but also participated in the traditional Fourth of July softball game.

Kerr Mill is a historic grist mill building located near Mill Bridge, Steele Township, Rowan County, North Carolina. It was constructed in 1823 by Joseph Kerr, a large plantation owner. The mill is a brick building with two-stories and three bay by two bay. It rests on a stone foundation and has a gable roof. The mill was operated commercially until the 1940s and has since been refurbished as part of Sloan Park run by Rowan County. The mill and surrounding property are operated by Rowan County as Sloan Park.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1976.

Grace Church (traditionally known as Lower Stone Church because of the building's topographical position in relation to Organ Church) is one of the oldest churches in North Carolina, having been organized about 1745 as a Reformed congregation. The current church building dates from 1795. The congregation is currently affiliated with the Evangelical Association and is served by interim pastor, Rev. Kevin Sloop.
