Sacred Heart Catholic Church is a Roman Catholic church on Lumen Christi Lane in Salisbury, North Carolina, United States. The building cost $9.4 million, has 12,083 square feet (1,122.5 m2) and measures 60 by 170 feet (52 m), seating 760, on 107 acres (0.43 km2) of land. The church held a dedication mass on December 19, 2009. Sacred Heart has about 1000 registered families.

The Grubb–Sigmon–Weisiger House, also known as the Grubb–Grimes–Sigmon House, is a historic home located at Salisbury, Rowan County, North Carolina. It was built in 1911, and is a large two-story, Queen Anne style frame dwelling. It is sheathed in weatherboard and has a wraparound porch. It was rotated 90 degrees to its present orientation in 1927, and the interiors redesigned in the Colonial Revival style in 1939. Other contributing resources are the guest house (c. 1941), playhouse (c. 1928–1930), a garage / stable (c. 1927), truck-garage / workshop (c. 1942), smokehouse (c. 1942), and greenhouse (c. 1933).It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1999.

Newman Field is a stadium located on the campus of Catawba College Salisbury, North Carolina. It is primarily used for baseball and was home to the Salisbury Senators. It was built in 1934. It holds 3,000 people.

West End Plaza is a shopping mall in Salisbury, North Carolina. It is owned by Rowan County, North Carolina. Built starting in 1986 at Jake Alexander Boulevard and Statesville Boulevard, Salisbury Mall appeared to be in a good place. However, critics said the mall should have been built closer to Interstate 85. In August 2013, J. C. Penney, an original anchor, closed its store, and Belk moved to another shopping center later that year. Big Lots had already moved to a new location, and much of the mall was empty.Rowan County bought Salisbury Mall in December 2013 for $3.4 million because of a need for additional office space. The mall was renamed West End Plaza.By September 2014, with other stores in the mall closing, Books-A-Million closed.A 2015 master plan called for moving social services and the health department into the former mall, and the sheriff and probation into their former space. Other possibilities were the library's history and genealogy room, and planning, building inspections and environmental departments. A conference center was also considered. The former J.C. Penney was used for events.As of September 2017, the Board of Elections and Veterans Services had moved into West End Plaza. Renovating the former Penney's proved to be too expensive.On July 1, 2019, Rowan County commissioners considered an $18.93 million plan by ADW Architects to improve the mall. This included $2.9 million to renovate a section of the mall for an agriculture center, $7.6 million for an events space, $5.1 million for exterior renovations and parking improvements, and $3.2 million for additional exterior work and traffic-related improvements such as roundabouts.

Shuford Stadium is a 4,500-capacity stadium located in Salisbury, North Carolina. It is home to Catawba College, who play in the South Atlantic Conference. The stadium was built in 1925 but has been upgraded several times since. The field is named for former coach Gordon Kirkland, and the athletics track is named for Charlotte area philanthropist Irwin Belk.

Catawba College is a private college in Salisbury, North Carolina. Founded in 1851 by the North Carolina Classis of the Reformed Church in Newton, the college adopted its name from its county of origin, Catawba County, before moving to its current home of Salisbury in 1925. Catawba College still holds loose ties with the successor to the Reformed Church, the United Church of Christ. It offers over 70 undergraduate degrees.

The chain employs over 63,000 people. It was founded in 1957 as Food Town, a single grocery store in Salisbury. It later expanded to many locations across North Carolina. It was independently operated until it was acquired by the Belgium-based conglomerate Delhaize Group in 1974. In 1983, the company changed its name and branding to Food Lion to allow it to expand into regions where Food Town was already in use by unrelated stores. Following further mergers and acquisitions, Food Lion, LLC is currently owned by Ahold Delhaize. The mascot’s name has been George the Food Lion since January 17, 1997.

J.C. Price High School, also known as the Joseph Charles Price High School, is a historic high school complex located at Salisbury, Rowan County, North Carolina. The school served as Salisbury's high school for African-American students from 1932 through the 1968–1969 school year. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2010.J. C. Price High School was originally housed in the Monroe Street School. The Rosenwald Fund supported the construction of a school building with a grant of $5,300. A gymnasium was built in 1951, a classroom building was built parallel to the original building in 1956–1957, and cafeteria in 1956-1957 The complex consists of four symmetrically positioned one-story brick buildings built between 1931 and 1957. The original building was built in 1931–1932, and is an H-shaped, Colonial Revival style brick building.

Monroe Street School, also known as J.C. Price High School and S.E. Duncan Education Center of Livingstone College, is a historic school building located at Salisbury, Rowan County, North Carolina. It was built in 1923, and is a three-story, Classical Revival style red brick building. It was damaged by fire in 1941 and rebuilt. A cafeteria addition was completed in 1960. The school originally served as Salisbury's only African-American public school. It was originally named J. C. Price High School, but the name was changed in 1931 with the construction of another school given that name.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2003.

Alumni Memorial Stadium is a 6,000-seat college football stadium located in Salisbury, North Carolina. The Stadium is home to the Blue Bears of Livingstone College. They compete in the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division II Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA).

Walter McCanless House, also known as the Hedrick House and Donaldson House, is a historic home located at Salisbury, Rowan County, North Carolina. It was designed by architecture firm Benton & Benton and built between 1927 and 1929. It is a large two-story, buff brick and terra cotta, Renaissance style mansion. It consists of a two-story main block with flanking single-story pavilions, and two symmetrical two-story rear ells project to give the home a U-shaped plan. Other contributing resources are the garage (c. 1929) and swimming pool (c. 1929).It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2005.

Livingstone College is a private historically black Christian college in Salisbury, North Carolina. It is affiliated with the African Methodist Episcopal Zion Church. Livingstone College is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools to award bachelor's degrees.
