Imafuku-Tsurumi Station

Osaka Shin-Ai Gakuin (大阪信愛学院, Ōsaka Shin'ai Gakuin) is a private girls' preschool through senior high school in Jōtō-ku, Osaka. It is affiliated with Osaka Shin-ai College. Takenaka Corporation built a chapel on the school campus in 2004.

Osaka Shin-ai College (大阪信愛女学院短期大学, Ōsaka shin'ai joshi tanki daigaku) is a private women's junior college with campuses in Joto-ku and Tsurumi-ku in Osaka, Osaka, Japan. The precursor of the school was founded in 1884, and it was chartered as a university in 1959. It is affiliated with Osaka Shin-Ai Gakuin.

The Battle of Imafuku (今福の戦い, Imafuku no tatakai) was fought in late November 1614 between the forces of Tokugawa Ieyasu and the Toyotomi clan. This battle was one of the first of the series of battles fought near Osaka over the course of two years. The village of Imafuku stood on the northeast approach to Osaka, and so Tokugawa Ieyasu sent 1,500 men under the command of Satake Yoshinobu to secure the site for a fort. They faced off against 600 men loyal to the Toyotomi "Western Army," under two generals named Iida and Yado. After Satake routed the defenders from the village and killed Iida, reinforcements from the Western Army arrived. Kimura Shigenari and Gotō Mototsugu led a charge, incurring major casualties on the Eastern force and forcing Satake to call a withdrawal. However, in the end, the Western forces were forced back once more after Uesugi Kagekatsu arrived with reinforcements for Satake's men. Satake then managed to finally get a hold on the village.

Jōtō-ku (城東区, Jōtō-ku) is one of the 24 wards of Osaka, Japan. "Jōtō" means "east of the castle", referring to Osaka Castle. It was separated from Higashinari and Asahi in 1943, and eastern Jōtō became Tsurumi in 1974. Jōtō-ku has the highest population density of any ward in a city-designated municipality in Japan, and is the only ward with a density that exceeds 20,000 people per square kilometre. When the special wards of Tokyo are also included, it is the sixth densest ward in the country after Toshima, Nakano, Arakawa, Bunkyō and Taitō. In recent years, there has been increased construction of high-rise condominiums in the western and northern parts of the ward, and the population of Jōtō-ku continues to grow.

Tsurumi (鶴見区, Tsurumi-ku) is one of 24 wards of Osaka, Japan. It is best known for its large parkland, Tsurumi-Ryokuchi, the site of the 1990 International Garden Exposition.

The Battle of Shigino, fought in the final months of 1614, was one battle during the Siege of Osaka, a campaign by the Tokugawa shogunate to destroy or subjugate the last resistance to its power, the Toyotomi clan.

The Sakuya Konohana Kan (咲くやこの花館) is a botanical garden set within one of the world's largest greenhouses, located in Tsurumi Ryokuchi park at 2-163 Ryokuchi Koen, Tsurumi-ku, Osaka, Japan. It is open daily except Mondays; an admission fee is charged. The gardens were constructed between 1987 and 1989, and currently contain about 15,000 plants representing 2,600 species from various climatic zones. Total floor space is about 6,900 m² with a maximum height of 30 meters.
