The George W. Bethers House, also known as the William Wyatt House, is a historic residence in Philomath, Oregon, United States. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1997.The house was built c. 1873 and photos from 1900 show its Gothic Revival style. In 1997 it was being renovated to restore its Gothic Revival appearance. It is a two-story house with a cross-gable roof.

Mt. Union Cemetery is located in Philomath, Oregon. The land for the Mt. Union Cemetery was donated by Reuben Shipley and his wife Mary Jane Holmes Shipley Drake with the stipulation that both Black people and white people could be buried there. The Shipleys were former slaves who donated 3 acres of their land on May 1, 1861. Mt. Union was the first cemetery in the region to permit burials of multiple races.The cemetery has expanded over the years to seven acres, with over two thousand graves. The headstone for Reuben Shipley procured by his son displays the surname of Ficklin, which is presumed to have been the name of an earlier enslaver. The cemetery entrance has a large granite marker honoring the Shipleys, which was installed in 1981. The historical writer R. Gregory Nokes describes Mt. Union cemetery as "a lasting legacy to racial cooperation and understanding".Mt. Union Cemetery was listed on the Benton County Historic Register on November 14, 1994.Approximately 2,500 people are buried at the cemetery, with additional space for 1,500 to 1,700 more. A new section was added to the cemetery in the 1970s.

Irish Bend Covered Bridge is a wooden covered bridge near Corvallis, Oregon, United States. It was constructed in 1954 and originally spanned a slough of the Willamette River on Irish Bend Road near Monroe. However, in 1975 Irish Bend Road was realigned and the bridge fell into a state of disrepair. The bridge was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1979. It was eventually dismantled in 1988 to make way for a more modern concrete span. Through negotiations with Benton County and Oregon State University (OSU), an agreement was reached to reconstruct the bridge on university property. $30,000 was raised by the Irish Bend Advisory Committee, and Benton County provided an additional $30,000 to fund the project, which was completed in 1989. Due to the relocation, the bridge was removed from the National Register in 1989. It was relisted in 2013. Today, the bridge is part of a path through the research farm between 35th and 53rd Streets on the west side of the OSU campus, spanning Oak Creek. Although the property is owned by the university, maintenance is carried out by the Benton County Parks Department.

Wren is an unincorporated community in Benton County, Oregon, United States. It is located at the junction of U.S. Route 20 and Oregon Route 223 on the Marys River. Wren was named for George P. Wren, who settled in the area. The first form of the name was "Wrens", used for a station established by the Oregon Pacific Railroad in the locality in 1886. Wren had a post office from 1887 to 1968.

O. H. Hinsdale Wave Research Laboratory is a research facility in Corvallis, Oregon, United States. Operated by Oregon State University’s Coastal & Ocean Engineering Program within the Department of Civil, Construction, and Environmental Engineering. Built in 1972, the laboratory was designated as a tsunami research location by the National Science Foundation in 2001. It contains two wave basins and a long wave flume. The Tsunami Wave Basin is the largest tsunami simulator in the world.
