Broadmoor to Bagshot Woods and Heaths

Swinley Forest is a large expanse of Crown Estate woodland managed by Forestry England mainly within the civil parishes of Windlesham in Surrey and Winkfield and Crowthorne in Berkshire, England.

Poors Allotment is a 76-hectare (190-acre) nature reserve north of Camberley in Surrey. It is owned by Windlesham United Charities and managed by the Surrey Wildlife Trust. It is part of Thames Basin Heaths Special Protection Area and Broadmoor to Bagshot Woods and Heaths Site of Special Scientific Interest.This site got its name because it was set aside under an early nineteenth century Enclosure Act to allow poor people to gather turf and bracken as fuel. It has heath, acid grassland and woods. Its importance lies in its fauna, such as woodlarks, nightjars, Dartford warblers, adders and several species of butterfly.

Birch Hill is a southern suburb of Bracknell, originally part of the now-defunct civil parish of Easthampstead, in the English county of Berkshire. Although Birch Hill is a separate ward in Bracknell Town Council it is combined with Hanworth to form Hanworth ward in Bracknell Forest Council. The Birch Hill estate was built in the 1970s on the slightly higher ground above South Hill Park, a Georgian and Victorian country house in parkland with two lakes (known locally as North Lake and South Lake), now an arts centre. Birch Hill is bounded by Hanworth to the west, Crown Wood and Forest Park to the north-east, Easthampstead to the north and Nine Mile Ride and the Crown plantations of Swinley Forest to the south. Facilities include Birch Hill Primary School, a large Sainsbury's supermarket near the A322, a shopping centre that also serves Hanworth, a library, community centre and the Silver Birch public house. Coral Reef Water Park and the Look Out Discovery Centre are nearby. The streets in Birch Hill are named in alphabetic order. For example, the southernmost area includes from east to west Naseby, Northcott, Nutley, Oakengates, Octavia, Orion, Qualitas and Quintilis.

Barossa is a 498-hectare (1,230-acre) nature reserve north of Camberley in Surrey. It is owned by the Ministry of Defence and managed by the Surrey Wildlife Trust. It is part of the Thames Basin Heaths Special Protection Area and the Broadmoor to Bagshot Woods and Heaths Site of Special Scientific InterestThis site is mainly heathland with areas of pine and deciduous woodland. Birds include nightjars, woodlarks and Dartford warblers, there are snakes such as adders and grass snakes and lizards include slow worms and common lizards.

Caesar's Camp is an Iron Age hill fort around 2,400 years old. It is located just in Crowthorne civil parish to the south of Bracknell in the English county of Berkshire. It falls within the Windsor Forest and is well wooded, although parts of the fort have now been cleared of some trees. The area is managed by the Forestry Commission but owned by Crown Estate, and is open and accessible to the public. The hill fort covers an area of about 17.2 acres (7 hectares) and is surrounded by a mile-long ditch, making it one of the largest in southern England.

Crown Wood is a south-eastern estate of Bracknell in the English county of Berkshire, and formerly part of the parish of Winkfield. Crown Wood was built during the late 1970s and is bounded in by Forest Park to the east, Harmans Water to the north and Birch Hill to the west and is east of the A322 Bagshot Road. It and Forest Park are in Crown Wood ward and named after the Crown Estate of Swinley Forest.Facilities include a shopping centre, The Crown Wood public house, a community centre [1] Archived 15 August 2017 at the Wayback Machine doctors' surgery and Crown Wood Primary School [2].

Hanworth is a southern suburb of Bracknell, originally part of the now-defunct civil parish of Easthampstead, in the English county of Berkshire. The Hanworth estate was built in the 1970s upon the site of the wooded Hanworth Plantation. It is bounded by Birch Hill to the east, Great Hollands to the north-west, Easthampstead and the Church Hill estate to the north and the Nine Mile Ride and Crown plantations at Crowthorne Woods to the south. The Iron Age hill fort of Caesar's Camp is basically at Hanworth, although it has been transferred to the parish of Crowthorne. Although Hanworth is a separate ward in Bracknell Town Council it is combined with Birch Hill to form Hanworth ward in Bracknell Forest Council. The south west part of Hanworth, roads Oakengates, Ollerton, Orion, Octavia, Qualitas and Quintilis, is called Roman Hill after nearby Caesar's Camp. There are two schools in Hanworth, The Pines Primary [1] and St. Margaret Clitherow Primary (Catholic)[2]. The Pines site also houses Hanworth Community Centre and The Church @ The Pines, a Methodist/Church of England ecumenical church. Opposite the road is the Canny Man public house. Shops are in Birch Hill.

Collingwood College is a coeducational secondary school and sixth form located in Camberley, Surrey, England.

Harmans Water is a suburb of Bracknell, in the English county of Berkshire, formerly part of the parish of Winkfield. It takes its name from Harman's Water Lake, long gone. Building of the estate began around 1960 and was the fourth and last estate to be built as part of the original plan for the new town. The estate lies approximately 1 mile (1.6 km) south-east of the town centre, to the east of the A322 road and south of the A329 road. It is in Harmans Water ward, which following boundary changes now includes parts of Bullbrook, Martins Heron and The Parks.Facilities include a shopping centre, a library, several public houses and Harmans Water Primary School [1]. St. Pauls Church has shared Church of England and United Reformed Church services and is situated adjacent to the shopping centre. There are a few office buildings in Broad Lane but otherwise the estate is largely residential.

Camberley Obelisk (also known as Norris's Obelisk or Norris's Whim) is a brick tower at the top of a hill in Camberley, Surrey, England. The tower was built by John Norris (1721–1786) in about 1765–1770. The top section of the tower was destroyed by fire in the early 1880s. It is a Grade II listed building.

Staff College, Camberley, Surrey, was a staff college for the British Army and the presidency armies of British India (later merged to form the Indian Army). It had its origins in the Royal Military College, High Wycombe, founded in 1799, which in 1802 became the Senior Department of the new Royal Military College. In 1858 the name of the Senior Department was changed to "Staff College", and in 1870 this was separated from the Royal Military College. Apart from periods of closure during major wars, the Staff College continued to operate until 1997, when it was merged into the new Joint Services Command and Staff College. The equivalent in the Royal Navy was the Royal Naval Staff College, Greenwich, and the equivalent in the Royal Air Force was the RAF Staff College, Bracknell.

Surrey Heath is a local government district with borough status in Surrey, England. Its council is based in Camberley. Much of the area is within the Metropolitan Green Belt. The neighbouring districts are Runnymede, Woking, Guildford, Rushmoor, Hart, Bracknell Forest, and Windsor and Maidenhead.
