Melrose Highlands station

Melrose Highlands is one of the oldest neighborhoods in the city of Melrose, Massachusetts. Formerly part of neighboring Stoneham, it became part of Melrose in the latter part of the nineteenth century. There were some addresses that had the zip code 02177, before the Highlands post office was closed; the Melrose zip code of 02176 is now used, although mail marked as 02177 is still deliverable. It is bordered by Main Street to the east, the Stoneham border to the west, Lynn Fells Parkway to the south, and the Wakefield line and Wakefield's Greenwood neighborhood to the north. The neighborhood was originally part of Stoneham, but was annexed by Melrose on March 18, 1853.

The House at 118 Greenwood Street in Wakefield, Massachusetts is a rare well-preserved example of a Stick-style house. The 2+1⁄2-story house was built c. 1875, and features Stick-style bracing elements in its roof gables, hooded windows, with bracketing along those hoods and along the porch eave. Sawtooth edging to sections of board-and-batten siding give interest to the base of the gables, and on a projecting window bay. The house was built in an area that was farmland until the arrival of the railroad in the mid-19th century.The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1989.

Melrose High School (MHS) is a public high school serving children in grades 9–12. It is located at 360 Lynn Fells Parkway in Melrose, Massachusetts, United States and is Melrose's only high school. Enrollment for the 2010–2011 school year is 987 students. The school is accredited by the New England Association of Schools & Colleges (NEASC) and is a member of the METCO program.

The House at 54 Spring Street in Wakefield, Massachusetts is a well-preserved Queen Anne Victorian house. The 2+1⁄2-story house was built c. 1889–90, and is most notable for its detailed shingle work. The house has an L shape, with a porch that wraps around the front and right side, into the crook of the L. The windows are topped by shed-roofed hoods with cut shingles, and there are bands of decorative shingle work filling the north side gables.The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1989.

Ell Pond is a lake in Middlesex County, in the U.S. state of Massachusetts. The pond is 0.3 miles (480 m) north of Melrose city center.Ell Pond, formerly also written "L Pond", was so named on account of its L-shape. A variant name is "Crystal Pond".

The Trinity Episcopal Church is a historic church at 131 W. Emerson Street in Melrose, Massachusetts. The main church building was constructed in 1886 to a design by Boston architect Charles Brigham. It is connected to its parish house, built in 1936 with a significant addition in 1956. The main building is English Revival (Tudor) in styling. Its walls are made of multiple colors of granite, and are topped by a steeply pitched slate roof. There is a large projecting gable section on the southern facade, which, along with the tower in the southeastern corner, has the half-timber styling typical of the Tudor Revival. The eastern facade has a projecting curved section, which houses the apse on the interior; it is from this section that the church is connected to the parish house via the somewhat utilitarian 1956 addition. The parish house was designed in Shingle Style by Boston architect and parish member William H. Smith, although with sympathy to the Tudor styling of the church.The church was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1995.

The Melrose Public Library is a historic library at 69 W. Emerson Street in Melrose, Massachusetts. The original T-shaped building was built in 1904, and is a two-story Colonial Revival structure faced in brick with limestone trim. It was built with funds contributed by philanthropist Andrew Carnegie to a design by Lynn architect Penn Varney, and features stained glass windows by Wilbur H. Burnham. A modern single story addition was added in 1963 to the rear and left side of the building.The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1988.The Library is a member of the North of Boston Library Exchange (NOBLE) consortium.

Melrose/Cedar Park is an MBTA Commuter Rail station located in downtown Melrose, Massachusetts. The station has two low-level platforms serving the two tracks of the Haverhill Line; it is not accessible.

Melrose is a city located in the Greater Boston metropolitan area in Middlesex County, Massachusetts, United States. Its population, per the 2020 United States Census, is 29,817. It is a suburb located approximately seven miles north of Boston. It is situated in the center of the triangle created by Interstates 93, 95 and U.S. Route 1. The land that comprises Melrose was first settled in 1628 and was once part of Charlestown and then Malden. It became the Town of Melrose in 1850 and then the City of Melrose in 1900.

MelroseWakefield Hospital provides many different areas of patient care including surgery, cardiology, maternity, orthopedics, endoscopy, and emergency services. MelroseWakefield Hospital was home to the world's first cochlear implant and laser surgery and it was among the first hospitals in the country to offer same day surgery. It is also among the top 10% of hospitals in the nation for stroke care and the top 15% in the nation for heart attack treatment.Following a failed merger attempt with Boston-based Partners Healthcare, MelroseWakefield's parent company Hallmark Health announced in June 2016 that it was seeking approval to merge with Wellforce, the operator of Tufts Medical Center in Boston and Lowell General Hospital in Lowell. As a result of the merger, Melrose-Wakefield Hospital was renamed to remove the hyphen in its name and its former parent company Hallmark Health was renamed MelroseWakefield Healthcare, a member of Wellforce.

The US Post Office-Woburn Center Station is a historic post office building at 1 Abbott Street in Woburn, Massachusetts. The single story Classical Revival building was built out of sandstone in 1911. It is nine bays in width, with a central portico supported by Doric columns sheltering the main entrance. The building has a standing seam metal hip roof with a flat middle section. The cornice has dentil molding, with a parapet above.The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1987.

The Jonathan Green House is a historic first period Colonial American house, built c. 1700–1720. It is located at 63 Perkins Street, Stoneham, Massachusetts. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1984. It is one of the oldest structures in Stoneham, and one of only two structures in Stoneham preserving a nearly intact early eighteenth century form.
