Maximilianstraße (Munich)

The Museum Five Continents or Five Continents Museum (German: Museum Fünf Kontinente) in Munich, Germany is a museum for non-European artworks and objects of cultural value. Its name until 9 September 2014 was Bavarian State Museum of Ethnology (German: Staatliches Museum für Völkerkunde).

Klosterkirche St. Anna im Lehel is a Catholic abbey church in Munich, Germany. It was the first Rococo church of Old Bavaria and shaped the development of religious architecture in Bavaria. It is located in the center of Lehel opposite to the neo-romanesque Catholic parish church of St. Anna im Lehel.

Theater Die Kleine Freiheit was a theatre in Munich, Bavaria, Germany. It was closed in November 1996.

Lehel is a Munich U-Bahn station located centrally in the Lehel quarter of Munich. It is on the U4 and U5 lines between Odeonsplatz to the west and Max-Weber-Platz to the east, and is also served at ground level by tram line 18. The station has two excavated tunnels with side platforms on the centre line, joined at each end by connecting passages. From these connecting passages there are triple escalators to/from mezzanine levels, which in turn each have flanking exits to ground level with escalators and stairs. At the east end, there are two separate elevators linking the platform with the mezzanine, and the mezzanine with the ground levels. There is also a stairwell at the east end from the platform level to the mezzanine level. The west end exits lead to the west side of Sankt Anna Straße at Sankt Anna Platz; the east end exits lead to Tierschplatz, where the tram 18 stop is located. Because of a number of museums in the area, at track level there are reproductions of various sculptures embedded in the outside walls along with display cases in the connecting passages. The arched walls and ceilings of each platform tunnel are striped with matte silver metal bands which together with the central lighting strip give the space a bright appearance.

The St. Anna Platz is a square in Munich. It is registered as a listed ensemble in the Bayerische Denkmalliste (Bavarian Historical buildings list).

St. Anna im Lehel is a parish of the Roman Catholic Church in the Lehel district of Munich. Founded in 1808, it is staffed by Franciscans from the adjacent abbey of St. Anna. The historic parish church was constructed between 1887 and 1892 in Romanesque Revival by Gabriel von Seidl. It is the main parish church of Lehel, located in the center of the quarter, and situated opposite of the Abbey Church of St Anna.

The Wilhelmsgymnasium is a gymnasium (selective school) in Munich, Germany. Founded in 1559 to educate local boys, it is now coeducational. Wilhelmsgymnasium is one of the few remaining gymnasiums in Bavaria to be a "pure Humanistisches Gymnasium" (humanities gymnasium), meaning that it traditionally focuses on the Classics: all students are required to study Latin, English, and Ancient Greek, in addition to mainstream school subjects.

St. Luke's Church (German: St. Lukas or Lukaskirche) is the largest Protestant church in Munich, southern Germany. It was built in 1893–96, and designed by Albert Schmidt. It is the only pre-World War II Lutheran parish church building remaining in the historic section of central Munich. St. Luke's is located on the banks of the Isar, between the Steinsdorfstraße and Mariannenplatz. The address of the grounds is on Mariannenplatz (Mariannenplatz 3), while the main entrance is on the Steinsdorfstraße. The two eastern bell towers and the almost 64-meter high dome are prominent features. Although the large church is nicknamed Dom der Münchner Protestanten (Cathedral of the Munich Protestants), St. Luke's is not a seat of a bishop (cathedra).

The Munich Kammerspiele (German: Münchner Kammerspiele) is a state-funded German-language theater company based at the Schauspielhaus on Maximilianstrasse in the Bavarian capital. The company currently has three venues: the main stage of the theatre with two small stages, the workroom on Hildegardstrasse, and the Therese-Giehse-Halle in the rehearsal building on Falckenbergstrasse.

The Otto Falckenberg Schule – Fachakademie für darstellende Kunst der Landeshauptstadt München, or Otto Falckenberg School of the Performing Arts, is a higher education academy in Munich training actors and directors, affiliated to the Münchner Kammerspiele. It was founded in 1946 as the Städtische Schauspielschule but renamed to its present name on 1 March 1948, after the director and theatre manager Otto Falckenberg. Its current director is Jochen Noch and assistant director Sigrid Herzog.

Hotel Vier Jahreszeiten Kempinski Munich (lit. 'Hotel Four Seasons Kempinski Munich') is a five-star luxury hotel in Munich, Germany. It is part of the Kempinski chain of hotels. It was opened in 1858 and is located at Maximilianstraße 17 in the centre of Munich.
