It was founded in 1958 as a land-grant college and occupies a 644-acre (2.61 km2) campus that is shared with North Central State College. The campus offers ten bachelor's degree programs and graduate-level coursework in education. The campus practices open admissions. Students can start at Mansfield and finish their degrees at The Ohio State University, Columbus, with one or more of Ohio State’s 200+ majors. The Bromfield Library of the Ohio State Mansfield campus provides access to all the resources of the Ohio State University and Ohio Link.

Ontario High School is a public, coeducational high school located in Ontario, Ohio (U.S). The school serves students in grades 9 to 12 and is part of the Ontario Local Schools district. The school mascot is a warrior.

The Kingwood Center Gardens is a historic 47-acre (190,000 m2) site with a house, Kingwood Hall, gardens and greenhouses located in Mansfield, Ohio. Mr. Charles Kelley King began making his fortune when he was hired by the Ohio Brass Company as its first electrical engineer in 1893. He led Ohio Brass into new ventures, particularly the manufacture of electrical fittings for railroads and trolleys. Mr. King was responsible for much of the company's success and he eventually became president and chairman of the Board of Ohio Brass. Mr. King was married and divorced twice, and had no children. The house and grounds were built in 1926 for King and his second wife, Luise, with grounds designed by Cleveland landscape architecture firm Pitkin and Mott. One year after his death in 1952, the 47-acre estate opened as a public garden to a private foundation that continues to operate Kingwood Center today. On November 7, 1976, it was added to the National Register of Historic Places.

Roseland is an unincorporated area and census-designated place (CDP) in Richland County, Ohio, United States. It was first listed as a CDP prior to the 2020 census.The CDP is in central Richland County, in northwestern Madison Township. It is bordered to the east, south, and part of the west by the city of Mansfield. Ohio State Route 39 (Springmill Road) runs through the CDP, leading southeast into Mansfield and northwest 9 miles (14 km) to Shelby.

Mansfield Senior High School is located in Mansfield, Ohio, United States. The school serves grades 9-12 and is part of the Mansfield City School District. The school enrolls 755 students as of the 2021–2022 academic year. Their nickname is the Tygers. Mansfield's original school colors were red and white. When crosstown Malabar High School was merged into Mansfield Senior following the 1988-1989 school year, the Tygers kept part of the Falcons' legacy alive by adopting their school colors of orange and brown.

The Raemelton Farm Historic District is a historic district in Mansfield, Ohio, United States. Composed of thirteen contributing properties, it was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2003. Among its buildings are examples of the Greek Revival and Colonial Revival styles of architecture, and it includes work by landscape architect Marian Cruger Coffin.The center is a surviving part of a 2,000-acre (810 ha) estate owned by Frank Black, whose father had emigrated from Ramelton in County Donegal, Ireland. The main barn was built in 1850 and remodeled in 1929; it was destroyed and rebuilt after fires in 1932 and 1937.
