Rohnert Park is a city in Sonoma County, California, United States, located approximately 50 miles (80 km) north of San Francisco. The population at the 2020 United States Census was 44,390. It is an early planned city and is the sister city of Hashimoto in Japan. Sonoma State University, part of the California State University system, is located nearby.

Rohnert Park station is a Sonoma–Marin Area Rail Transit station in the city of the same name. It opened to preview service on June 29, 2017; full commuter service commenced on August 25, 2017. It is located on the Rohnert Park Expressway. The city's station was initially to be located further north near Golf Course Drive, but these plans were amended, resulting in the current location.

Rancho Cotate High School is a four-year comprehensive high school in Rohnert Park, California. It is located at 5450 Snyder Lane, adjacent to the campus of Sonoma State University. Students have opportunities to participate in a wide variety of sports and extra curricular activities. It was established in 1966 and named after the Rancho Cotate land grant. It serves the Cotati-Rohnert Park Unified School District. Enrollment in the 2006–2007 school year was about 1800-1900 students. A new football stadium was built in 2008. In the summer of 2019, the construction of a new Theatre, Arts, and Gymnasium building was completed. The high school is fed by Lawrence E. Jones Middle School.

Sonoma State University (SSU, Sonoma State, or Sonoma) is a public university in Rohnert Park in Sonoma County, California. It is one of the smallest members of the California State University (CSU) system. Sonoma State offers 92 bachelor's degree programs, 19 master's degree programs, and 11 teaching credentials. The university is a Hispanic-serving institution.

Roberts Lake is a reservoir at 5010 Roberts Lake Road in Rohnert Park, California, USA. Named after Arthur N. Roberts, a five-term mayor who died in 1986, it is the centerpiece of Roberts Lake Park, a city park. The lake is the site of an annual free fishing derby for children fifteen years and under. Fish species found in the lake include rainbow trout, bluegill, crappie, channel catfish, carp, and largemouth bass.

Technology High School is a magnet school for science, math and technology located in Sonoma County, California. It was initiated in 1995 by the Cotati-Rohnert Park Unified School District, Sonoma State University, Hewlett-Packard and the Autodesk foundation. The school opened its doors in 1999.

Cotati station is a Sonoma–Marin Area Rail Transit station in Cotati, California. It opened to preview service on June 29, 2017; full commuter service commenced on August 25, 2017. It is located on Cotati Avenue. The station building was constructed by the city independently of the transit authority. The station has parking, including an electric vehicle charging station.

The Cotati Speedway was a 1.25-mile (2.01 km) wooden board track for automobile racing in Cotati, California. The track was built and opened in 1921, and featured heavily banked turns, which were around 41.5° at their steepest. It hosted six AAA Championship Car races across 1921 and 1922. Despite the popularity of the sport, the Cotati Speedway failed to attract the size of crowds the organisers had hoped for, partly due to the track's location. In December 1922, primarily for financial reasons, the track was shutdown. Despite attempts by some locals to save the track, it was dismantled the following year, with much of the timber reclaimed and sold for other projects.

Naval Outlying Landing Field Cotati was a naval airfield located near Cotati, in Sonoma County, California, USA. It maintained active naval flight operations during the period 1941–1945.

The Cotati-Rohnert Park Unified School District (CRPUSD) is a school district in Sonoma County, California. The District serves approximately 6000 students in the cities of Cotati and Rohnert Park and neighboring areas of Sonoma County. The district operates six elementary schools, two middle schools, a K-8 school, one comprehensive high school, a magnet school and charters two schools. The district's offices are located at 7165 Burton Avenue, Rohnert Park, CA 94928-3316. The district is supported by numerous school-connected organizations, which include PTAs, Boosters and the Education Foundation of Cotati & Rohnert Park, a non-profit organization founded in 1983 to provide private grants to the school district. Since its founding, the organization has made grants totaling over $850,000 to the district's schools.The district is governed by a board consisting of Tracy Farrell (term expires 2018), Marc Orloff (term expires 2018), Timothy Nonn (term expires 2020), Jennifer Wiltermood (term expires 2020), and Leffler Brown (term expires 2018). Since 2018, CRPUSD has had 4 different superintendents - Dr. Mayra Perez (2020–present), Dr. Michael Watenpaugh (2019-2020), Dr. M.A. Roehrick (2018-2019), and Dr. R.A. Haley (2011-2018)
