Jack Thistledown Racino is a thoroughbred race track and casino in North Randall, Ohio, at the outskirts of the city of Cleveland. It is owned by Vici Properties and operated by Jack Entertainment.

Warrensville Heights High School is a public high school located in Warrensville Heights, Ohio (USA), east of Cleveland. It is the only high school in the Warrensville Heights City School District and home of the Tigers. The current school building was built in 1964 and renovated in 2002.

Highland Hills is a village in Cuyahoga County, Ohio, United States. The population was 662 at the 2020 census. A suburb of Cleveland, it was formally incorporated in 1990.

Musicarnival was a music "tent" theater on Warrensville Center Rd. in Warrensville Heights, among the first of its kind. The theater was expanded in 1958 from its initial seating capacity, growing from 1,500 to 2,563. The theater was used for performances of musicals, operettas and operas, and also hosted a number of famous musicians and rock bands, such as the Mothers of Invention, Duke Ellington, Stan Kenton, Dave Brubeck, The Who and Led Zeppelin. Musicarnival closed in August 1975.

Randall Park Mall was a shopping mall located in the village of North Randall, Ohio, United States. It opened on August 11, 1976 on the site of what used to be the Randall Park Race Track. After over a decade of decline, it closed on March 12, 2009. The former Dillard's store and interior of the mall were demolished in 2015 to make way for an industrial park, and the remaining anchor tenants were demolished in 2017 after they all closed down. Amazon built a new distribution center on the site in 2018.

North Randall is a village in Cuyahoga County, Ohio, United States. The population was 954 at the 2020 census. A suburb of Cleveland, it is a part of the Cleveland metropolitan area.

High Achievement Academy (commonly known as High Achievement or HAA), is a post-secondary school serving grades 11–12. Located in Beachwood, Ohio for Cleveland Metropolitan School District students. High Achievement first opened its doors in Beachwood, Ohio to 15 juniors and 15 seniors who attend Whitney M. Young High School in Cleveland, Ohio on Monday, August 24, 2009. High Achievement is an option school established by the Cleveland Metropolitan School District (CMSD) and Cuyahoga Community College (Tri-C). High Achievement prepares high school students for technological careers or higher education in a resource-rich learning environment. The program develops the students' academic and technical skills, particularly in English, reading comprehension, mathematics and information technology. Participating students attend their home high school in the morning and are transported in the afternoon for college courses at Tri-C's Eastern Campus in Beachwood until 2:00 pm (students may take classes past the school hours). High Achievement is similar to another program Tri-C and CMSD opened previously High Tech Academy open to 10–12 grade students in the Cleveland Metropolitan and Warrensville Heights School Districts. These students will take their classes at Tri-C's Metropolitan Campus. Cleveland Metropolitan School District and Cuyahoga Community College are sponsors of High Achievement Academy.

Cuyahoga Community College (Tri-C) is a public community college in Cuyahoga County, Ohio. Founded in 1963, it is the oldest and largest public community college within the state. Not until 1961 had Ohio permitted the establishment of community colleges and Ohio was then one of only four U.S. states without them.Tri-C schedules on the semester basis, and offers over 1,000 courses in associate degree programs through traditional classroom settings as well as distance learning services and its flagship offering known as Cable College. Cable College has offered classes live through the Cleveland area cable companies since the early 1990s. The institution promotes academic advancement through transfer articulation agreements with four-year colleges and universities. Tri-C is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission.

Tower East is a high-rise office building in Shaker Heights, Ohio. At 160 feet (49 m), it is the tallest building in the city. Tower East was the last building in the United States designed by architect Walter Gropius. Gropius designed this building during his tenure with The Architect's Collaborative (TAC).BGK Equities of Santa Fe, New Mexico, purchased the building for $12.68 million in 2000. In 2015, it was sold to E2G, an affiliate of the Equity Engineering Group, Inc.The building was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2014.

The 1946 U.S. Open was the 46th U.S. Open, held June 12–16 at Canterbury Golf Club in Beachwood, Ohio, a suburb east of Cleveland. In the first U.S. Open since 1941, Lloyd Mangrum, a World War II veteran and recipient of two Purple Hearts, defeated Byron Nelson and Vic Ghezzi in 36 playoff holes to win his only major title.Nelson's caddie possibly cost Nelson the championship in the third round when he accidentally kicked Nelson's ball; Nelson was assessed a one stroke penalty. Two months after the championship, Nelson announced his retirement from the tour at age 34, though he continued to play at the Masters through 1966. He also played twice again at the U.S. Open (1949 and 1955), and once at the British Open in 1955. The purse was $8,000 with a winner's share of $1,500. The three participants received a playoff bonus of $333 each.This was the last playoff at the U.S. Open that ended in a tie without sudden-death. The next dozen 18-hole full round playoffs determined a winner without the need for extra holes. The first time sudden-death was used for the 91st hole was in 1990, Hale Irwin's third title. It was needed again in 1994 and 2008. This was the second U.S. Open at Canterbury in six years; the 1940 edition was won by Lawson Little. It later hosted the PGA Championship in 1973, won by Jack Nicklaus.

The 1973 PGA Championship was the 55th PGA Championship, played August 9–12 at Canterbury Golf Club in Beachwood, Ohio, a suburb east of Cleveland. Ohio native Jack Nicklaus won the third of his five PGA Championships, four strokes ahead of runner-up Bruce Crampton.It was the 12th of Nicklaus' 18 major titles as a professional. At the time, the holder of the most major titles was the late Bobby Jones, with 13. As a lifelong amateur, his majors were the Open and amateur championships in the U.S. and Britain. Including his two U.S. Amateur titles, Nicklaus now had 14 majors, surpassing Jones. With his 12th professional major win Nicklaus also usurped Walter Hagen's record of 11 professional major victories. Sam Snead, age 61, shot even-par each day and finished in the top ten for the second straight year; he tied for ninth after a tie for fourth in 1972 and would improve on those in 1974. This was the third major at Canterbury, which hosted the U.S. Open twice in the 1940s, both decided in playoffs. Lawson Little was the champion in 1940 with a three-stroke win over Gene Sarazen. Following World War II in 1946, the first U.S. Open in five years was played at the course. Lloyd Mangrum won in the second 18-hole playoff round, one stroke ahead of major winners Byron Nelson and Vic Ghezzi.
