Pleasure Point is a census-designated place (CDP) in Santa Cruz County, California. Pleasure Point sits at an elevation of 33 feet (10 m). The 2020 United States census reported Pleasure Point's population was 5,821. Prior to the 2010 census, this CDP was called Opal Cliffs.

Opal Cliffs is an unincorporated community in Santa Cruz County, California, United States. The population was 6,458 at the 2000 census. For statistical purposes, the United States Census Bureau defined Opal Cliffs as a census-designated place (CDP). The Opal Cliffs CDP was abolished prior to the 2010 census and replaced with the Pleasure Point CDP. The census definition of the area may not precisely correspond to local understanding of the area with the same name.

Verve Coffee Roasters is a coffee roaster based in Santa Cruz, California, founded by Colby Barr and Ryan O'Donovan. Verve opened in November, 2007 in Pleasure Point, California. The company currently operates in several California-based locations, including four in Santa Cruz, four in Los Angeles, one in San Francisco, one in Manhattan Beach, one in Palo Alto, and two in Menlo Park at the campuses of Meta and SLAC. They also have four locations in Japan: one at the Shinjuku, Tokyo train station, one in the Roppongi district of Tokyo, one in Kamakura, and a cafe/roastery in the Kanagawa Prefecture. Verve earned the highest score in the coffee category at the Good Food Awards in 2013 and was also named one of the top coffee roasters in the United States by Thrillist, Complex Magazine, and Food Republic In 2018, they won the Best Espresso at the Coffee Spot Awards, and in 2021 be nominated for the cafe in Japan at the World Latitude Caffe Prize.

KSCO (1080 AM) is a commercial radio station broadcasting a talk radio format. The station is owned by Zwerling Broadcasting and is licensed to Santa Cruz, California. The radio studios and offices are on Portola Drive in Santa Cruz. The station can be heard over much of Central California during the day. By day, KSCO broadcasts at 10,000 watts non-directional. Because 1080 AM is a clear channel frequency reserved for KRLD Dallas and WTIC Hartford, at sunset, to avoid interference, KSCO reduces power to 5,000 watts and uses a directional antenna. KSCO also has three translator stations to broadcast its programming on the FM dial.

Capitola Mall is a shopping mall located in Capitola, California. It was managed and owned by Macerich before being sold to Merlone Geier Partners in April 2016. The mall sits on the northern edge of the Monterey Bay in Santa Cruz County. Capitola Mall is located on 41st Avenue just off Highway 1 at Capitola Road in Capitola. Capitola Mall opened in 1977, and was renovated and expanded in 1988/89. It is the only enclosed regional shopping center in Santa Cruz County. Anchor stores are Kohl's, Macy's, and Target.

Venetian Court is a residential seaside resort located in Capitola, California. Construction of Venetian Court, in the Mediterranean Revival, Spanish Colonial Revival, and Mission Revival architecture styles, began in 1924 and continued for several years. On April 2, 1987, Venetian Court was listed as site 87000574 on the National Register of Historic Places as one of the first condominium seaside developments in California, and is in a United States Historic District. The two rows of colorful units nearest to the beach, as shown in the picture below, are privately owned condos (many of which are available as vacation rentals by owner). The large brown building in the back row (nearest to the street) is now operated as the "Capitola Venetian Hotel".

Soquel Creek is a southward flowing 16 miles (26 km) creek that begins in the Santa Cruz Mountains in Santa Cruz County, California and enters Monterey Bay at Capitola Beach in Capitola, California.

Capitola is a small seaside town in Santa Cruz County, California. Capitola is located on the northern shores of Monterey Bay, on the Central Coast of California. The city had a population of 9,938 at the 2020 census. Capitola is a popular tourist destination, owing to its beaches and restaurants.

Camp Capitola also called the Superintendent Office, is a historical building in Capitola, California in Santa Cruz County. Camp Capitola building is a California Historical Landmark No. 860 listed on April 26, 1973. The Camp Capitola building is City of Capitola's oldest commercial building. From 1883 to 1919 the Camp Capitola building was the headquarters of F. A. Hihn's operations, called Camp Capitola. F. A. Hihn owned and ran the first seaside resort in the state of California, Camp Capitola.The grand opening of the 15 acre seaside resort was on July 4, 1874. The seaside resort was at the present site of Village neighborhood and Depot Hill neighborhood of Capitola. The Superintendent's Office Building was made local redwood and was used as the seaside resort headquarter until 1930. A historical marker was placed in 1973 by State Department of Parks & Recreation and the Capitola Historical Society.

Rancho Arroyo del Rodeo was a 1,473-acre (5.96 km2) Mexican land grant in present-day Santa Cruz County, California, USA, given in 1834 by Governor José Figueroa to Francisco Rodríguez. The grant extended from the Pacific Ocean between Rodeo Creek Gulch on the west and Soquel Creek on the east, encompassing portions of several present-day communities: eastern Live Oak, western Soquel and western Capitola.

The Rispin Mansion is a historic mansion, on the National Register of Historic Places, located in Capitola, California. The building was constructed in 1921 by San Franciscan Henry Allen Rispin. It was built with four stories, 22 rooms, and over 7,100 square feet (660 m2) on the grounds of what was called "Camp Capitola". Described as being "cursed," Rispin Mansion was first used as a real-estate showroom, and then, at various times, as a residence, a nunnery, a SWAT practice ground, and a ghost hunting site.

The Hihn Building, at 201 Monterey Ave. in Capitola, California, was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1973. It is built of local redwood and is vaguely Classical in style. It was deemed significant as "an excellent example of the style of architecture which was used by the Portuguese when they settled small farming and fishing villages and towns along the California coastline in the latter part of the 19th Century." It is Capitola's oldest commercial structure and is believed to have been built in 1883. It was part of an effort by Frederick A. Hihn to develop a camping resort named Camp Capitola.It was photographed by John Muir in 1972.
