Wat Pho

Drum Tower (Thai: หอกลอง) is a historic building constructed in 1782 in Bangkok located on side of Sanam Chai Road, Phra Borom Maha Ratchawang Subdistrict, Phra Nakhon District, beside to Wat Pho and Territorial Defense Command.

Charoen Krung Road (Thai: ถนนเจริญกรุง, pronounced [tʰā.nǒn t͡ɕā.rɤ̄ːn krūŋ]) is a major road in Bangkok and the first in Thailand to be built using modern construction methods. Built during 1862–1864 in the reign of King Mongkut (Rama IV), it runs from the old city centre in Rattanakosin Island, passes through Bangkok's Chinatown, continues into Bang Rak District, where it formerly served the community of European expatriates, and ends in Bang Kho Laem. Construction of the road marked a major change in Bangkok's urban development, with the major mode of transport shifting from water to land. Charoen Krung Road was Bangkok's main street up to the early 20th century, but later declined in prominence. It is still home to many historic buildings and neighbourhoods, which are beset by changes as extension of the underground MRT is poised to drive new development.

The Territorial Defense Command (Thai: หน่วยบัญชาการรักษาดินแดน), known as the Army Reserve Command (หน่วยบัญชาการกำลังสำรอง) from 2001–2009 and the Territorial Defence Department (กรมการรักษาดินแดน) before that, is a department of the Royal Thai Army. It is responsible for the management of the country's reserve affairs, including the training of Territorial Defence Students. Its headquarters is located on the corner of Sanam Chai and Charoen Krung roads. Its main building, a two-storey neoclassical structure, was built in 1922, and is listed as a registered ancient monument.

Sanam Chai Road (Thai: ถนนสนามไชย, RTGS: Thanon Sanam Chai, pronounced [tʰā.nǒn sā.nǎːm t͡ɕʰāj]) is a historic street in Bangkok's Phra Nakhon District. It continues from Ratchadamnoen Nai Road at the northeastern corner of the Grand Palace, and runs south to meet Rachini and Maharat roads near the mouth of the old city moat, a short distance of 1.1 kilometres (0.68 mi). The Grand Palace, Wat Pho, Museum Siam, and Phra Ratchawang Police Station are located on the west side of the road, while on the east side are the Ministry of Defence headquarters, Saranrom Palace, Saranrom Park, the Territorial Defense Command headquarters and Wat Rajabopit School. Sanam Chai Station of the underground MRT's Blue Line is located beneath the road's final stretch. The road is named after Sanam Chai ("field of prosperity"), a field formerly located in front of Saranrom Palace and used for military training. The field, together with Sanam Luang, was named by King Mongkut (Rama IV) in 1855, in order to follow the naming previously used in Ayutthaya. Sanam Chai is overlooked by the Grand Palace's Sutthaisawan Prasat Hall, which is used by the king for public appearances.

King Rama VI Museum is a military history museum in Phra Nakhon District, Bangkok, Thailand, located within the Territorial Defense Command. The museum is dedicated to King Vajiravudh.

Saranrom Park (Thai: สวนสราญรมย์, RTGS: Suan Saran Rom, pronounced [sǔan sā.rāːn rōm]) is a public park in Bangkok. It is located opposite the Grand Palace, between Sanam Chai, Charoen Krung and Rachini roads in Phra Borom Maha Ratchawang Subdistrict, Phra Nakhon District. The park occupies the former grounds of Saranrom Palace, which was built in 1866 and served as the residences of several princes and royal guests. The palace gardens were converted to serve as a public park under the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration in 1960.

Tha Tian Market (Thai: ตลาดท่าเตียน, RTGS: Talat Tha Tian, pronounced [tā.làːt tʰâː tīa̯n]), is one of famous historical ordinary community market in the Phra Nakhon District, Bangkok, Thailand. It is on Rattanakosin Island, located near the Grand Palace – next to Wat Pho, by Chao Phraya River. It has Tha Tian Pier next to the market. It is also known as culture food market that sells dried salted seafood products and wholesale products (Dailynews, 2014; River, n.d.). Tha tian market was the biggest trading center of Chao Phraya River on 17th - 18th century in Rattanakosin era (River, n.d.; In-Jan, 2015).

Sanam Chai station (Thai: สถานีสนามไชย, pronounced [sā.tʰǎː.nīː sā.nǎːm t͡ɕʰāj]) is a Bangkok MRT rapid transit station on the Blue Line. The station is located underground under Sanam Chai Road. During the excavation of the site to build the station, multiple historical artifacts were found, such as coins from the reign of King Mongkut and King Chulalongkorn. These were given to the Fine Arts Department and Museum Siam for preservation and research. An exhibition was planned to display these artifacts at concourse level under Exit 1. This was opened to the public as the first museum in Thailand located underground on 27 November 2020, free of charge.

Ubonrat Bridge, sometimes written as Ubolratana Bridge (Thai: สะพานอุบลรัตน์, pronounced [sā.pʰāːn ʔùʔ.bōn.rát]) is a historic bridge spanning Khlong Khu Mueang Doem (old city moat) in Rattanakosin Island or Bangkok's old town zone.

Saphan Mon (Thai: สะพานมอญ, pronounced [sā.pʰāːn mɔ̄ːn]; lit. "Mon Bridge") is a historic bridge in Bangkok's Phra Nakhon District. It carries Charoen Krung Road across the old city moat, and was originally built in the reign of King Rama III (1824–1851), presumably by members of the Mon community who lived nearby. During the reign of King Vajiravudh (Rama VI, 1910–1925), the original wooden structure was replaced with a reinforced concrete bridge with iron railings demonstrating Art Nouveau influence. The bridge is registered as an ancient monument by the Fine Arts Department.The end of the bridge is four-way intersection of Charoen Krung and Atsadang Roads, also the first intersection of Charoen Krung Road.

Wat Rajabopit School is a Bangkok public school located in the Phra Nakhon District. It was established on March 2, 1886, during the reign of King Chulalongkorn (Rama V.) The name “Rajabopit” means "established by the king."
