Nankōguchi Station

Nankō-higashi Station (南港東駅, Nankō-higashi-eki, station number: P15) is a train station on the Nankō Port Town Line (New Tram) in Suminoe-ku, Osaka, Japan.

The Yamato River (大和川, Yamato-gawa) is a river which flows through Nara Prefecture and Osaka Prefecture, Japan. It is designated Class A by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism (MLIT). The river flows via towns: Nara Prefecture Yamatokōriyama Osaka Prefecture Kashiwara Fujiidera - confluence with Ishikawa RiverSince 1704 the river was reconfigured, originally its flow was north from the Ishikawa River confluence point, where it joined the Shirinashi River and Kizu River.At the river mouth is a densely populated area and the river forms a natural border between Osaka and Sakai.

Ferry Terminal Station (フェリーターミナル駅, Ferii Tāminaru Eki) is a train station on the Nankō Port Town Line (New Tram) in Suminoe-ku, Osaka, Japan. The station is assigned the station number P14. The station is connected to the Osaka Nankō Ferry Terminal of the Osaka Port by an elevated pedestrian walkway. The station opened on March 16, 1981.

The two Battles of Kizugawaguchi (木津川口の戦い, Kizugawaguchi no Tatakai) were fought during Oda Nobunaga's attempted sieges of the Ishiyama Hongan-ji in Osaka. The Hongan-ji was the primary fortress of the Ikkō-ikki, mobs of warrior monks, priests, and farmers who opposed Oda's rule. He ordered one of his admirals, Kuki Yoshitaka, to organize a blockade against the fleets of the Ikki's allies, who sought to supply the fortress and break the siege. Many of the ruling families of the neighboring provinces opposed Oda, chief among them the Mōri Terumoto from Mōri clan.

Sakura (桜 or 櫻, "cherry blossom") was one of 18 Matsu-class destroyers built for the Imperial Japanese Navy (IJN) during the final stages of World War II. Completed in late 1944, the ship was assigned to convoy escort duties in February 1945. She was slightly damaged when she struck a mine in May. Sakura sank after striking another mine near Osaka on 11 July with heavy loss of life.

The Minato Bridge is a double-deck cantilever truss bridge in Osaka, Japan; upper deck is for Hanshin Expressway Route 16 Osakako Line, and lower deck is Route 5 Bayshore Line. It opened in 1974. It is the third-longest cantilever truss span in the world, behind the Quebec Bridge and the Forth Bridge.Designs including arch and suspension elements were eliminated from consideration due to poor subsoil conditions of alternating layers of clay and gravel. Instead, the designers selected a cantilever structure using high-strength steel, to reduce mass.
