East Broad Street–Davie Avenue Historic District is a national historic district located at Statesville, Iredell County, North Carolina. It encompasses 65 contributing buildings in a predominantly residential section of Statesville. The district includes notable examples of Late Victorian architecture and were mainly built between about 1880 and 1930. Notable buildings include the Elma Apartments building (late 1920s), Matt-Simons House, J. S. Ramsey House (c. 1885), and Major H. L. Allison House.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1980.

Key Memorial Chapel, formerly the Roman Catholic parish church of Saint Philip the Apostle, is a historic Roman Catholic chapel located at 150 E. Sharpe Street in Statesville, Iredell County, North Carolina. It is considered within the Roman Catholic Diocese of Charlotte. It was built in 1898, and is a small one-story, two bay by four bay, Late Gothic Revival style brick building. It features a large, pointed arch stained glass window and a two-story tower with crenellated parapet. It was abandoned by 1976 when the parish was moved to its current location in Statesville, and the chapel was adaptively reused as a law office.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1980.

Center Street A.M.E. Zion Church is a historic African Methodist Episcopal Zion church located on S. Center Street in Statesville, Iredell County, North Carolina. It was built in 1903, and is a one-story, three bay by seven bay, Late Gothic Revival style brick building. It has a steep gable roof sheathed in pressed tin and features two corner entrance towers of unequal height and a large, pointed arch stained glass window. The church also goes by the name Mount Pleasant AME Zion Church.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1980.

Col. Silas Alexander Sharpe House is a historic home located at Statesville, Iredell County, North Carolina. The house was built between about 1860 and 1865, and is a two-story, three-bay, Classical Revival style frame dwelling. It features an elegant two-story, front portico with clustered columns.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1980.

The U.S. Post Office and Courthouse, also known as Statesville City Hall, is a historic post office and courthouse building located at Statesville, Iredell County, North Carolina. It was designed in the Richardsonian Romanesque style by Willoughby J. Edbrooke and built in 1891. It is a rectangular 2 1/2-story structure, seven bays wide, and three bays deep. It is constructed of red brick and sandstone. The building has a two-story corner tower, one-story entrance pavilion with central arched recessed entrance, and a tall hip roof.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1974. It is located in the Statesville Commercial Historic District.

McElwee Houses is a national historic district located at Statesville, Iredell County, North Carolina. It encompasses four contributing buildings in a predominantly residential section of Statesville. The district includes notable examples of Classical Revival and Colonial Revival architecture and were built in the first decade of the 20th century. They were built by members of the John H. McElwee family, a prominent family of industrialists in the late-19th and early-20th century.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1980.

Signal Hill Mall was a regional enclosed shopping mall located in Statesville, North Carolina, United States. Opened in 1973, it originally featured more than 40 stores, with Woolworth, Belk, and Spainhour's as its original anchor stores. An expansion in 1979 relocated Spainhour's while also adding JCPenney. Spainhour's and Woolworth both closed in the mid-1990s, with Peebles and Hills respectively taking their places; Hills in turn was replaced by Sears soon after. The mall experienced a great deal of decline in the 2010s, losing most of its major stores throughout the decade and receiving significant attention as an example of a dead mall.

The Iredell County Courthouse is a historic courthouse building located at Statesville, Iredell County, North Carolina. It was built in 1899, and is a two- to three-story, square Beaux Arts building. It is sheathed in yellow brick and consists of a center five-bay wide three-story block, topped with a mansard cupola and fronted by a two-story tetrastyle pedimented portico, and flanking one-bay wide two-story wings.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1979. It is located in the Statesville Commercial Historic District.

The house was built about 1904–1905, and is a two-story, three-bay, Classical Revival style frame dwelling. It features a two-story, center bay portico, one-story Ionic order wraparound porch, and porte-cochère.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1980.

The community of the Fourth Creek Congregation was a group of Scots-Irish Presbyterians who first arrived in the Province of North Carolina in the mid to late 1730s and established a congregation by 1750 under pastor John Thompson in Anson County which became Rowan County in 1753 and finally Iredell County in 1788. The site of the Fourth Creek Congregation was chosen as the location of the county seat of Iredell County in 1789 and was named Statesville in 1789. The Fourth Creek Presbyterian Church officially became the First Presbyterian Church of Statesville in 1875.

Academy Hill Historic District is a national historic district located at Statesville, Iredell County, North Carolina. It encompasses 40 contributing buildings in a mixed-use neighborhood of Statesville. The district includes notable examples of Late Victorian architecture including primarily brick educational and industrial buildings and one and two-story frame dwellings. They were mainly built between 1885 and 1930. Notable buildings include the former Statesville Male Academy (1874), Statesville Graded School (1892), J. C. Steele & Sons Brick Machinery Plant (c. 1905), Ash Tobacco Factory (c. 1895), O. W. Slane Glass Company (c. 1906), J. C. Steele House (1880s), C. M. Steele House (1901), H. Oscar Steele House (c. 1907), and William E. Webb House (c. 1917).It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1980.

The Henry Fletcher and Carrie Allison Long House, known locally as "Dr. Long's House," was listed in the National Register of Historic Places on April 26, 2021. The home is known as the dwelling of Dr. Henry F. Long, a notable doctor in Statesville, North Carolina, reportedly known for contributions to the expansion of healthcare in the area as well as being one of the first surgeons in the state of North Carolina to perform appendectomies. The home was designed by architect Louis H. Asbury who incorporated elements of the craftsman, Tudor revival, and colonial revival styles. The house was erected in 1915 and sits on a 1.08 parcel of land that once was a part of a 2.75 acre stretch of land that had been purchased by Long in 1899. Before the construction of the historic home in 1915, Long and his wife, Carrie, resided in a Queen Anne cottage on the same site that was destroyed in a fire in March 1915. The retaining wall constructed in 1915 remains at the site today along with 1900s smokehouse, the carriage house constructed in 1915 that is paved with brick reported to be taken from the original 1900 dwelling’s foundation, and what is reported to be the laundry facility constructed between 1918 and 1925 and used for the sanatorium that Long opened in 1905 to the northeast of the structure. There is a garage, shed, and red brick wall on the property as well that were constructed after 1950. In 1904, Long commissioned another Queen Anne cottage that was nearly identical to the home that he and his wife commissioned in 1900, which served as a temporary sanatorium. This structure no longer exists, but the larger, three-story brick building that Long commissioned north of the original sanatorium in 1912 became H. F. Long Hospital and operated until 1954. This structure still stands and serves as offices for government agencies. The house is currently privately owned and a local law firm operates out the building. There are many historical sites in the surrounding area.
