Kirkfield Park

The 1992 du Maurier Classic was contested from August 13–16 at St. Charles Country Club. It was the 20th edition of the du Maurier Classic, and the 14th edition as a major championship on the LPGA Tour. This event was won by Sherri Steinhauer.

The Historical Museum of St. James – Assiniboia is a museum in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. The museum primarily consists of a two-story post-and-plank house built in 1856 and once owned by William Brown and Charlotte Omand. The home is furnished with pieces from the period between 1860 and 1890. The museum also features two other buildings: the Municipal Hall Building built in 1911 which contains exhibits from the St. James-Assiniboia area and surrounding parishes and an auxiliary building which features exhibits concerning blacksmithing, farming, and transportation.

Westwood Collegiate is a high school in Winnipeg, Manitoba. The school teaches grades 9 to 12. Located at 360 Rouge Road, the school is part of the St. James-Assiniboia School Division. In addition to the Provincial Graduation Diploma, Westwood also offers IB Diplomas through the International Baccalaureate Program. The school's mission statement is "to empower all students and staff for the choices and challenges of the 21st century while working and learning in a safe and supportive environment."

Grace Hospital is a regional hospital in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. The 250-bed hospital is located in the Crestview neighbourhood of St. James-Assiniboia.The hospital was founded on Ross Avenue in 1890 by the Salvation Army, as a rescue home for women and children. It was incorporated in 1904 as The Salvation Army Grace General Hospital, and was the first Salvation Army hospital to be incorporated in Canada. The hospital was not truly a general hospital until 1927, when it was expanded from a maternity hospital.The hospital was located on Ross Avenue until 1906 when a new building was erected at Preston Avenue and Arlington Street. The Arlington street location would be expanded and upgraded many times. The Arlington Street location was eventually replaced by a building in the St James area, for which construction began in 1964. The St James location officially opened in 1967. The old Arlington Street building was demolished in about 2015 and the Old Grace Housing Cooperative was built where it had been. The hospital was run by the Salvation Army until 2008, when ownership was transferred to the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority. Deanna Durbin, a Hollywood actress of the 1930s and 1940s, was born at Grace Hospital on 4 December 1921 as Edna Mae Durbin. She moved from Winnipeg to California, USA in 1923.

Charleswood was a provincial electoral division in the Canadian province of Manitoba. It was created by redistribution in 1968, and formally existed from the provincial election of 1969 until that of 2019. The riding was in the westernmost tip of Manitoba's capital and largest city, Winnipeg. Charleswood was bordered to the east by Tuxedo and Fort Whyte, to the north by Kirkfield Park, and to the south and west by the rural riding of Morris. Charleswood's population in 1996 was 20,262. The riding's character is middle- and upper-middle class: in 1999, the average family income was $70,417, and the unemployment rate was 5.20%. Eleven per cent of the riding's residents are immigrants, with over half being of German origin. The service sector accounts for 15% of Charleswood's industry, with a further 12% in the retail trade and 11% in health and social sciences. Members of the Progressive Conservative Party represented Charleswood throughout its lifetime. Sterling Lyon was premier of Manitoba from 1977 to 1981 while representing Charleswood.

It is bounded by Roblin Boulevard to the North, Hartestone Road to the East, bisects the Harte Trail to the south and Scotswood Drive to the West. Charleswood is a residential community and neighbourhood in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. It is located in the South-West of the city and is bordered by the neighbourhoods Tuxedo to the East, Fort Whyte to the South, and the Rural Municipality of Headingley on the West. It's boundaries are Roblin and the Assiniboine River to the north, Shaftesbury Boulevard on the East, Wilkes Avenue to the South and the Perimeter Highway to the West. The region was originally known for "the Passage," a ford across the Assiniboine River and was an important route for indigenous and Metis traders and settlers. In the 1869, the area was ceded by the Hudson's Bay Company to Canada and became a site for European settlement. Charleswood was incorporated as a Rural Municipality in 1913 and remained an independent municipality until it joined with the City of Winnipeg in 1972. Since the 1930s, Charleswood has been known as "The Suburb Beautiful."Charleswood is part of the city ward of Charleswood - Tuxedo - Westwood; and is part of the provincial electoral district of Roblin (replacing the former electoral district of Charleswood). It is also served by the Pembina Trails School Division.

Charleswood Curling Club is located in the southwestern area of Winnipeg, in the community of Charleswood. The club was founded in 1946 as a three sheet rink, although expansion to five sheets was completed in 1956. It was the home club of the Jeff Stoughton team.
