The Graham County Courthouse is located at 12 North Main Street in Robbinsville, the county seat of Graham County, North Carolina. The current courthouse is a Classical Revival structure designed by Barber and McMurry of Knoxville, Tennessee, and completed in 1942; it is the third courthouse to stand on the property. The T-shaped building is fashioned from stone reportedly gathered in the Mill Creek area about 2 miles (3.2 km) southeast of Robbinsville. The building occupies a prominent location in the center of Robbinsville; it is one of three North Carolina courthouses built with funds from the Depression-era Works Progress Administration.The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2007.

Robbinsville High School is a public, co-educational secondary school located in Robbinsville, North Carolina. It is the only high school in the Graham County Schools system.

Lake Santeetlah, part of the Tennessee River watershed, was created in 1928 when Alcoa dammed the Cheoah River as a means of generating hydroelectric power in Graham County, North Carolina. The reservoir is largely surrounded by the Cheoah District of the Nantahala National Forest. During the last decades of the twentieth century non-public lands were developed as scenic residences and vacation homes, most notably in the area now incorporated as the town of Lake Santeetlah.Although the area below the highwater mark continues to be managed by Alcoa, approximately 80% of the surrounding land is under the jurisdiction of the U.S. Forest Service, which provides swimming, camping, picnicking, fishing and boating facilities. Lake Santeetlah has 76 miles of shore line and is home to a variety of trout, muskie, crappie, and bass. Of special note is the adjoining Joyce Kilmer Memorial Forest, which was set aside in 1936 as a memorial to poet-soldier Joyce Kilmer, and is perhaps "the most impressive example of original, old growth forest" in the eastern United States.

Lake Santeetlah is a town in Graham County, North Carolina, United States, 6 miles (10 km) northwest of Robbinsville on a peninsula surrounded by Lake Santeetlah—which in turn is largely surrounded by Nantahala National Forest. The town has more than two hundred residences, many of them second homes owned by permanent residents of Florida and Georgia. The town was organized in 1989 as "Santeetlah"; in 1999, it changed its name to "Lake Santeetlah". The full-time population was 67 at the 2000 census and dropped to 45 in 2010.

Santeetlah Dam is a hydroelectric development on the Cheoah River (river mile 9) in Graham County, North Carolina. The dam together with a pipeline/tunnel facility, and a powerhouse form the Santeetlah Development. The Santeetlah powerhouse is located on the left bank of the Cheoah Reservoir portion of the Little Tennessee River five miles (8 km) upstream of the Cheoah Dam. The Santeetlah Project, which began in 1925, was completed in 1928 by the Tallassee Power Company (now Tapoco). The Santeetlah Dam forms the Santeetlah Reservoir, which covers approximately 2,881 acres (1,166 ha), normal full pool area, with a drainage area of 176 square miles (460 km2) and stretches to Robbinsville, North Carolina. The elevation of Santeetlah Reservoir is 1,940.9 feet (591.6 m) according to the USGS. The dam is 212 feet (65 m) high and 1,054 feet (321 m) long, and was one of the first structures built using vibratory damping to control concrete quality. It has two spillways with a capacity of 50,000 cfs. It is topped by concrete gatehouse which controls water flows into the five mile tunnel running to the Little Tennessee. The project's major elements were listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2004. The Santeetlah and Cheoah developments have practically flooded the Cheoah River. Water from Santeetlah is piped to the Rhymer's Ferry generating facility on Cheoah Lake, with any water flowing below the dam coming from downstream tributaries or reservoir overflow. The facility is owned and operated by Tapoco. The Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) maintains limited control over lake levels, as the piped output from Lake Santeetlah flows into Topoco's Santeethlah Power House at Rhymer's Ferry upstream from Cheoah Dam and just below Fontana Dam. Overflow travels to the Cheoah River just below the Cheoah Dam.

Fontana Dam (also known as Fontana Village) is a town in Graham County, North Carolina, United States. Fontana Dam is located on North Carolina Highway 28 near the Fontana Dam and the Little Tennessee River. The town incorporated in 2011 and has a full-time population of 33.

The Charles Noden George House is a historic house in rural Graham County, North Carolina. It is located on the south side of a private road, 0.4 miles (0.64 km) west of SR 1200 and 1 mile (1.6 km) north of United States Route 129, near Tulula Creek. It is a single-pen log structure built c. 1853, which faces east at the top of a 20-acre (8.1 ha) pasture and overgrown orchard. The logs are poplar, and are joined by half-dovetail notches. A fieldstone chimney rises from the uphill side of the structure, and there is a kitchen ell and a wraparound porch on the south and west sides, added c. 1900. It was built by a veteran of the War of 1812 during the second major wave of development in western North Carolina.The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1984.

Granny Squirrel Branch is a 1.09 mi (1.75 km) long 1st order tributary to Harris Creek in Cherokee County, North Carolina. Granny Squirrel Branch is the only stream of this name in the United States and is a tributary to Harris Creek. According to tradition, "Granny Squirrel" was originally the name of an elderly Native American Indian woman who lived in the area.

The Franklin Pierce Cover House is a historic house on North Carolina Route 1388 in the small town of Andrews, North Carolina. The 2+1⁄2-story brick Queen Anne Victorian was built in 1900, and is a remnant of Andrews' industrial heritage. The house was built by Franklin Pierce Cover, owner of a local tannery. It exhibits the complex massing typical of Queen Anne houses, with multiple gables, projections, and a massive three-story octagonal tower. Documentary photographs suggest the house once had a Queen Anne porch with brackets and an ornamental frieze, but this was replaced by a more Colonial Revival scheme with heavier Tuscan columns.The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982.
