The Colony is a city in Denton County, Texas, United States, and a suburb of Dallas. The population was 44,534 at the 2020 census.

Northwest Plano Park & Ride is a new bus-only station located on Communications Parkway in Plano, Texas (U.S.A.). Owned and operated by Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART), this new Park & Ride station brings improved bus service to the Legacy area. It is one of the few DART transit centers outside the Dallas County area. The new facility will be accessible from downtown Dallas by express bus service during rush hours and the extension of a local route during the midday Monday through Friday. Additional routes will serve local shopping and employment destinations in the Legacy and Granite Park areas, and connections will be available to both Parker Road Station and Jack Hatchell Transit Center. DART's new paid parking program (named "Fair Share"), will also be in operation.

Legacy West is a business and cultural district, a lifestyle center in Plano, Texas, bordered on the south by the curving Legacy Drive and Headquarters Drive, on the north by the Sam Rayburn Tollway, on the east by the Dallas North Tollway, and on the west by the exit to Headquarters Drive from Sam Rayburn Tollway. It includes 415,000 square feet of retail, restaurant and office space, a 55,000 square-foot food hall, over 1,300 residential units and a 303-room Renaissance Hotel.

The Colony High School (TCHS) is a public high school located in the city of The Colony, Texas, USA and classified as a 5A school by the UIL. It is a part of the Lewisville Independent School District located in southeastern Denton County. In 2015, the school was rated "Met Standard" by the Texas Education Agency.

Arbor Hills Nature Preserve is a 200-acre park in Plano, Texas. It has several amenities including 3 miles of paved hiking trail, 3 miles of unpaved hiking trail, a 2.8 mile off-road bike trail, restrooms, a covered pavilion, and a playground. The pavilion can be reserved for special events. An observation tower provides a bird's eye view of the park. There are three regions in the park: Blackland Prairie, Riparian Forest, and Upland Forest. A pond in the preserve is named after Vasil Levski. Birds that live in the park include killdeer, owls, woodpeckers, egrets, herons, scissor-tailed flycatcher, and turkey vulture. Many other wildlife such as deer, coyotes, snakes, bobcats, turtles, fish, and rabbits also live in the park.

Ford Center at The Star is a 12,000-seat indoor stadium located in Frisco, Texas. Its main use is as the Dallas Cowboys' practice facility. It is also used for Whataburger's Friday Night Stars, an event every Friday showcasing Frisco Independent School District high school varsity football. The synthetic turf is Hellas Matrix Turf with Helix Technology. The field's dimensions can also be marked for and accommodate a regulation soccer pitch and lacrosse field.

Riders Field, formerly known as Dr Pepper/Seven Up Ballpark and Dr Pepper Ballpark, is a baseball park in Frisco, Texas, United States. The home of the Double-A Frisco RoughRiders of the Texas League, it opened on April 3, 2003, and can seat up to 10,216 people. Though primarily a venue for Minor League Baseball games, the facility also hosts high school and college baseball tournaments and other public and private events throughout the year. It has been the site of three Texas League All-Star Games. Since its opening, Riders Field has won awards and garnered praise for its unique design, feel, and numerous amenities. In his design, park architect David M. Schwarz desired the creation of a village-like "park within a (ball)park". The stadium received the 2003 Texas Construction Award for Best Architectural Design. Attendance for RoughRiders games at the stadium has consistently placed either first or second in the Texas League and at the Double-A classification since its opening. After having the second-highest attendance in its first two seasons, as of 2020, it has had the highest in the league and classification since 2005.

Comerica Center (previously Deja Blue Arena and Dr Pepper Arena) is a multi-purpose arena in Frisco, Texas. It is the home of the Texas Legends of the NBA G League and the Frisco Fighters of the Indoor Football League, as well as the executive offices and practice facility of the National Hockey League's Dallas Stars. The arena is also used for concerts and other live entertainment events. It seats between 5,000 and 7,000 people and has a 2,100-vehicle parking garage.

Legacy Christian Academy is a private, non-denominational Christian elementary, middle, and college-preparatory school located in Frisco, Texas. Legacy's upper school (grades 9–12) was named a national blue ribbon school in 2017.

Eastvale was an incorporated municipality in Denton County, Texas, United States. It was situated along FM 423, just east of Lewisville Lake in southeastern Denton County. Eastvale was incorporated in the mid-1970s and the population stood at 503 in the 1980 census. After a brief period as a distinct community, the town began a consolidation process with the neighboring city of The Colony in 1987. By that time, the population was estimated at 643. On April 7, 1987, Eastvale citizens voted 75–71 in favor of consolidation. In order for the process to proceed, voters in The Colony had to support the measure as well. Residents of The Colony went to the polls on August 8 and of the 1,266 votes that were cast in that election, 999 (78.9%) favored consolidation. Soon after, Eastvale became part of the city of The Colony. Prior to the consolidation, Eastvale did not have a police department and was policed by the Denton County Sheriff’s Office. The Colony was incorporated and so had its own Police department. At the time of consolidation, The Colony’s police department assumed law enforcement duties over Eastvale as well. It has been claimed that Joseph "Joe Exotic" Schreibvogel, who became infamous in 2020 when he was featured in the Netflix true crime miniseries Tiger King, was the chief of Eastvale's police department.

Stonebriar Centre, commonly referred to as Stonebriar Mall, is a mid-range shopping mall located at the intersection of Preston Road (SH 289) and the Sam Rayburn Tollway (SH 121) in Frisco, Texas, U.S. It is currently anchored by Dick's Sporting Goods, Dillard's, Forever 21, JCPenney, the first KidZania location in Texas, Macy's, Nordstrom, Barnes & Noble Booksellers, Dave & Buster's, and H&M, with one vacant anchor last being occupied by Sears. It also has a 24-screen AMC movie theater, a food court with a carousel, a Cheesecake Factory, and a Smokin' Oak Wood-Fired Pizza & Taproom which was previously a California Pizza Kitchen.

Rick Reedy High School, or RHS (locally referred to as Reedy), is a four-year public high school located in Frisco, Texas. It is part of the Frisco Independent School District. It is one of eleven high schools in the district, and is named after Rick Reedy, who served as the district's superintendent for 16 years. This school was built to relieve the Frisco and Wakeland High Schools. Reedy opened with 9th and 10th graders in the 2015–2016 school year. The first graduating class was the class of 2018.
