Gmina Czerwonak

Czerwonak [t͡ʂɛrˈvɔnak] (German: Rotental) is a village in Poznań County, Greater Poland Voivodeship, in west-central Poland. It is the seat of the gmina (administrative district) called Gmina Czerwonak. It lies on the east bank of the Warta River, approximately 9 km (6 mi) north-east of the regional capital Poznań, on the main road and railway line leading to Murowana Goślina, Skoki and Wągrowiec. In 2006 Czerwonak had a population of 5,432. The village of Koziegłowy, which borders Czerwonak to the south, has an even larger population. Czerwonak adjoins the protected forest area known as Puszcza Zielonka Landscape Park. About 2 kilometres (1 mi) north-east of the village is the hill and observation tower of Dziewicza Góra, which is the Park's highest point.

It lies approximately 2 kilometres (1 mi) north-east of Czerwonak and 11 km (7 mi) north-east of the regional capital Poznań. The village has a population of 187.

Poznan Science and Technology Park (Polish: Poznański Park Naukowo-Technologiczny) (PPNT), founded in 1995, is the first Science and Technology Park of its kind in Poland. According to Polish publication Money.pl, in 2010 it was selected as the best technology park in Poland.It is located in the north district of Poznań (Wielkopolska region), Naramowice. A non-profit managed by the Adam Mickiewicz University Foundation, it is intended to support science and industry by such services as conducting research, offering technological consultations, training small and medium-sized enterprises, and offering guidance on technology transfer and international co-operation. It also offers rental space, with 5.4 hectares (13 acres) and over 11,000 square metres (120,000 sq ft) of buildings with office, storage, and laboratories hosting about 50 active tenants, including representatives of chemistry, biotechnology, IT, ICT and telecommunication.

Dziewicza Góra is a hill close to Czerwonak, a few kilometres north-east of the city of Poznań in western Poland. It lies at the south-western extreme of Puszcza Zielonka Landscape Park, and is the Park's highest point, at 143 metres (469 ft) above sea level. Its name (originally Dziewcza Góra) literally means Virgin Hill. It derives from the Cistercian nuns who were granted the hill in 1242. An observation tower, with a height of 40 metres (130 ft), was built at the summit of the hill in 2005. This is used for forest fire observation, and is also open to the public at certain times, offering wide views of the surrounding countryside and the city of Poznań.

Owińska [ɔˈviɲska] (German: Treskau) is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Czerwonak, within Poznań County, Greater Poland Voivodeship, in west-central Poland. It lies approximately 4 kilometres (2 mi) north of Czerwonak and 12 km (7 mi) north of the regional capital Poznań. The village has a population of 2,500. Owińska lies close to the Warta river, on the main road and railway line from Poznań to Wągrowiec. In the village are a former Cistercian convent (now a school for the blind), a Renaissance church, and a palace built in late classical style (1804–1806).

It adjoins Czerwonak to the north and the city of Poznań to the south. It is one of the 2 villages in Poland with a population of at least 90 In 2006 Koziegłowy had 10,755 inhabitants, which makes it one of the most populous villages in Poland (in second place behind Kozy). Koziegłowy lies on the main road from Poznań to Wągrowiec, and consists mainly of modern residential developments situated to the east of that road. To the west is the Warta River and the main sewage treatment plant for the city of Poznań. It lies approximately 4 kilometres (2 mi) north of the regional capital Poznań. Translated directly, the name means "Goats' Heads".

Kicin [ˈkit͡ɕin] (German: Buschdorf) is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Czerwonak, within Poznań County, Greater Poland Voivodeship, in west-central Poland. It is approximately 4 kilometres (2 mi) south-east of Czerwonak and 9 km (6 mi) north-east of the regional capital Poznań. The village has a population of 1,600. Kicin's church is on the Wooden Churches Trail around the Puszcza Zielonka Landscape Park.

The Owińska Palace is a palace in the village of Owińska, Poznań County, Greater Poland Voivodeship, Poland. The palace complex, including its two gates and the surrounding park, is included into the register of immovable cultural property of the Greater Poland Voivodship. The palace, built in classical style was an early work of Karl Friedrich Schinkel.

Bogucin [bɔˈɡut͡ɕin] German: Hammer) is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Swarzędz, within Poznań County, Greater Poland Voivodeship, in west-central Poland. It lies approximately 5 kilometres (3 mi) north-west of Swarzędz and 8 km (5 mi) north-east of central Poznań. It lies just outside Poznań's city boundaries, on the main road to Gniezno. The village has a population of 1,012.
