Wood Norton Hall is a Grade II* listed Victorian stately home to the northwest of Evesham, Worcestershire, England. It was the last home in England of Prince Philippe, Duke of Orléans, who claimed the throne of France. Used by the BBC during World War II as a station for listening to enemy radio broadcasts and an emergency broadcasting centre, it became the accommodation for the BBC's engineering training college that grew up in its grounds. The BBC retained purpose-built facilities in the grounds for technical training after selling the Hall, which became a hotel.

Cropthorne is a village and civil parish in Worcestershire, England within the Vale of Evesham, and on the North-west edge of the Cotswolds. It is approximately 13 miles (21 km) southeast of Worcester, 19 miles (31 km) north of Cheltenham, and 18 miles (29 km) southwest of Stratford-upon-Avon. Cropthorne has a population of 603, in 237 households (2001 census). Located on a small ridge overlooking the River Avon, its ancient orchards sweep down to the river and offer clear, unbroken views across the vale to the Malvern Hills in the distance. It is featured in the Domesday Book, and St Michael's Church dates back to the 12th century. The church is a Grade I listed building. The village has many unique examples of timber-framed thatched cottages from the 16th and 17th centuries, and about half the village is designated as a Conservation area. The village has a Site of Special Scientific Interest, Cropthorne New Inn Section. Cropthorne has a primary school that serves Cropthorne and the neighbouring village of Charlton. It currently has two pubs The Bell Inn and The New Inn, both offering food and guest accommodation. The village of Fladbury is situated on the opposite bank of the river, and the two communities are linked by the Jubilee Bridge. The Anglican parishes of Fladbury, Hill and Moor and Cropthorne are combined, with a single rector looking after all of the churches. Children from Cropthorne First School, may go on to Bredon Hill Middle School, then Prince Henry's High School in Evesham. Cropthorne has a large playing field (the Sheppey), with a village hall and children's play area. Youth activities centre on the Sheppey Junior Sports Club, which has junior football teams from U9 to U13. An adult football team also plays on the Sheppey. In the year 2000 Cropthorne won the best kept medium village award.

Fladbury is a traditional English village located in rural Worcestershire, England. The village was mentioned in the Domesday Book of 1086, almost 1,000 years ago. It is sited on the banks of the River Avon, with many interesting and original buildings and features. Cropthorne village is on the opposite bank of the Avon. The two ancient communities are linked by the Jubilee Bridge.

Cropthorne New Inn Section is a 0.12-hectare (0.30-acre) geological Site of Special Scientific Interest in Cropthorne in Worcestershire. It is a Geological Conservation Review site.The site dates to the Ipswichian interglacial (Marine Isotope Stage 5e) between 130,000 and 115,000 years ago. This was one of the warmest periods of the last half a million years, but there were no humans in Britain. The site has a rich array of mollusc and mammal fossils, including hippopotamus. There are a number of terraces of the River Avon laid down at different periods, and New Inn is a key site for determining their sequence, and for the Pleistocene stratigraphy of the Midlands generally.There is no public access to the site, which is a triangular area of scrub north of Main Road near the New Inn.

Norton and Lenchwick is a civil parish in the Wychavon district, in the county of Worcestershire, England. The parish population in 2021 was 1,056. The parish contains the village of Norton and the hamlet of Lenchwick.

Fladbury railway station was a station in Fladbury, Worcestershire, England. The station was opened in 1854 and closed in 1966.

Hampton is an area of Evesham in Worcestershire, England having formerly been a separate village. It is linked to the nearby town of Evesham by the ancient Hampton Ferry.

The Hampton Ferry is a pedestrian cable ferry linking Evesham and the village of Hampton across the River Avon in the English county of Worcestershire. The route dates back to the 13th century, when it was established by the monks of Evesham Abbey as a short-cut to their newly planted vineyard on Clark's Hill.The ferry is manually operated by pulling on a cable that is suspended across the river. When the ferry is docked at either bank the cable is allowed to sink to the river bottom, so as not to interfere with navigation.

Bengeworth railway station was a station on the Midland Railway between Ashchurch and Evesham. The precise location of the station was not in the Evesham suburb of Bengeworth itself, but 2 mi (3.2 km) away in Hampton. The station was named Bengeworth in order to avoid confusion over other stations in the area which also included Hampton in their names. The station opened 1 October 1864. It closed in 1953, but trains continued to use the line until closure in 1963. Some of the land between Hinton on the Green and south of Bengeworth station was given over to housing. The bridge that crossed the main A44 Pershore Road north of the station was removed, and the track bed beyond the road was used as an access road to the nearby water treatment works on Clarks Hill.

The Evesham Cricket Club Ground in Evesham, Worcestershire was used for first-class cricket by Worcestershire County Cricket Club on a single occasion: a County Championship match against Gloucestershire in 1951, which Worcestershire won by six wickets. Edwin Cooper made 122 for the home side, while Reg Perks took 7-65 in the first innings. The ground was also used for two of the county's Second XI games, in 1968 and 1978.

The River Isbourne is 14 mile (22 km) long tributary of the River Avon which flows through Gloucestershire and Worcestershire in the Midlands of England.

The Battle of Evesham (4 August 1265) was one of the two main battles of 13th century England's Second Barons' War. It marked the defeat of Simon de Montfort, Earl of Leicester, and the rebellious barons by the future King Edward I, who led the forces of his father, King Henry III. It took place on 4 August 1265, near the town of Evesham, Worcestershire. With the Battle of Lewes, de Montfort had won control of royal government, but after the defection of several close allies and the escape from captivity of Prince Edward, he found himself on the defensive. Forced to engage the royalists at Evesham, he faced an army twice the size of his own. The battle soon turned into a massacre; de Montfort himself was killed and his body mutilated. It was described by the contemporary historian Robert of Gloucester as the "murder of Evesham, for battle it was none". Though the battle effectively restored royal authority, scattered resistance remained until the Dictum of Kenilworth was signed in 1267.
