Qieding District (or Jiading; Chinese: 茄萣區; Hanyu Pinyin: Qiédìng Qū; Tongyong Pinyin: Ciédìng Cyu; Pe̍h-ōe-jī: Ka-tiāⁿ-khu) is a coastal suburban district in Kaohsiung, Taiwan.

The Jiading Wetlands, also known as the Qieding Wetlands, (Chinese: 茄萣濕地; pinyin: Jiādìng Shīdì) is a wetland in Qieding District, Kaohsiung, Taiwan. It provides a winter home to a substantial number of black-faced spoonbills.

Tainan Airport (Chinese: 台南機場; formally "台南航空站") (IATA: TNN, ICAO: RCNN) is a commercial airport located in South District, Tainan, Taiwan. It is shared with Republic of China Air Force Tainan AFB. In January 2011, the Civil Aeronautics Administration approved the airport to handle international flights.

The Furniture Manufacturing Eco Museum in Tainan (traditional Chinese: 家具產業生態博物館; simplified Chinese: 家具产业生态博物馆; pinyin: Jiājù Chǎnyè Shēngtài Bówùguǎn) is a museum in Rende District, Tainan, Taiwan.

Chia Nan University of Pharmacy and Science (CNU; Chinese: 嘉南藥理大學; Pe̍h-ōe-jī: Ka-lâm Io̍h-lí Tāi-ha̍k) is a private university in Rende District, Tainan City, Taiwan. Its mission is to prepare professionals in the fields of pharmacy, health and management. Currently, there are 28 departments and graduate schools in six colleges: Pharmacy and Science, Human Ecology, Health and Information, Humanities and Social Sciences, Sustainable Environment, and Leisure and Recreation Management. The university has an enrollment of 16,835 students, and more than 500 full-time faculty members. The university is active in the fields of pharmacy, cosmetics, food, health care, biotechnology, and environmental pollution prevention. Scholarship, counseling, housing, and international campus are specially tailored to the needs of international students.

Sugar Mall (Chinese: 台糖嘉年華購物中心) is a defunct shopping center located in Rende District, Tainan, Taiwan. With a total floor area of 23,135 m2 (249,020 sq ft), the mall officially opened on 7 October 2003. Owned by Taiwan Sugar Corporation, the main core stores of the mall include Carrefour, Showtime Cinemas, Poya, Tom's World and various themed restaurants. On 16 June 2019, the mall ended operation.

The Chimei Museum (Chinese: 奇美博物館; pinyin: Qíměi Bówùguǎn; Wade–Giles: Chʻi²-mei³ Po²-wu⁴-kuan³) is a private museum established in 1992 by Shi Wen-long of Chi Mei Corporation in Rende District, Tainan, Taiwan. The museum's collection is divided into five categories: Fine arts (including painting, sculpture, decorative arts and period furniture); Musical instruments; Natural history and fossils; Arms and armor; Antiquities and artifacts. The museum is known for housing the world's largest violin collection and for its significant collections of ancient weapons and sculptures. Forbes magazine, in its February 1996 article on private collectors in Asia, called the Chimei Museum "one of the world's most surprising art collections." The museum moved to its current venue on Wenhua Road in 2014, and it is open to the public except on designated days.

Bao'an (traditional Chinese: 保安車站; simplified Chinese: 保安车站; pinyin: Bǎo'ān Chēzhàn) is a railway station on the Taiwan Railways Administration (TRA) West Coast line located in Rende District, Tainan, Taiwan.

The Hsinta Power Plant or Hsing-ta Power Plant (Chinese: 興達發電廠) is a coal-fired power plant in Yong'an District and Qieding District in Kaohsiung, Taiwan. With a total installed capacity of 4,326 MW, the plant is Taiwan's second largest coal-fired power plant after the 5,500 MW Taichung Power Plant (coal-generated power only). It is the oldest coal-fired power plant in Taiwan as of 2019 and was built 37 years ago without any prior air quality impact evaluation., making it notorious for polluting air quality in southern Taiwan for decades.

Located in the Rende District of Tainan, Taiwan, Ten Drum Rende Creative Park was once a busy sugar mill but had been left disused for years. After being taken over by the local drumming troupe Ten Drum Art Percussion Group as a rehearsal space, this mill continues to live its history and allows visitors to peek into the thriving sugar industry during the Japanese Colonial Era.
