Pivka

The Municipality of Pivka (pronounced [ˈpiːu̯ka]; Slovene: Občina Pivka) is a municipality in Slovenia in the Pivka Basin in the Littoral–Inner Carniola Statistical Region. Its seat is the town of Pivka. It belongs to the traditional region of Inner Carniola.

Petelinje (pronounced [pɛtɛˈliːnjɛ]) is a settlement north of Pivka in the Inner Carniola region of Slovenia. The local church in the settlement is dedicated to Saint Bartholomew and belongs to the Parish of Pivka.

Primož (pronounced ['pɾiːmɔʃ]) is a 718-meter (2,356 ft) high hill overgrown with trees, and is a part of a ridge separating the Pivka Basin from the Reka Valley. It is located in the Municipality of Pivka in the Inner Carniola region of Slovenia. It has many marked trails and a gravel road leading to its peak. There is a historical trail intended for tourists with many information signs around its peak. It served an important military role during the Second World War because it contained many tunnels and bunkers used by Italian army. It is named after Saints Primus and Felician Church, which was abandoned in the eighteenth century with practically no ruins remaining.

Gradec (pronounced [ˈɡɾaːdəts], German: Graz) is a small village north of Pivka in the Inner Carniola region of Slovenia. The local church in the settlement is dedicated to the Holy Trinity and belongs to the Parish of Pivka.

The Pivka Park of Military History (Slovene: Park vojaške zgodovine Pivka) is a military museum in the town in Pivka, Slovenia. It is operated jointly by the Municipality of Pivka and the Military Museum of the Slovene Armed Forces. The museum's exhibits mainly date from the late WWII era and the Cold War, the timeframe of the former Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia. The core collection consists of a large number of armored vehicles and artillery; there is also a small aviation collection, with five fixed-wing aircraft and two helicopters. The museum's most popular exhibit is the Zeta, an ex-Yugoslav Una-class infiltration submarine.

Parje (pronounced [ˈpaːɾjɛ]) is a small village southeast of Pivka in the Inner Carniola region of Slovenia. The local church in the settlement is dedicated to Saint Justus and belongs to the Parish of Zagorje.
