The Seawane Club is a private member owned golf and country club in Hewlett Harbor, New York. In 2004, it was awarded the New York Sports Writers Association Golf Club of the year. The club is located at 1300 Club Drive in Hewlett Harbor in Nassau County, Long Island, New York. It is on the south shore and borders an inlet of Hewlett Bay. The club's name originates from the word "sewan," beads used as wampum by American Indians.

Stella K. Abraham High School for Girls is a Modern Orthodox Jewish day school, a college preparatory high school for grades 9-12, located in Hewlett Bay Park in Nassau County, New York, United States. The school is part of the Hebrew Academy of Long Beach which purchased the former Lawrence Country Day School 9.2-acre (37,000 m2) campus in 1992 for $2.2 million. Academics at the school focuses both on the Limudei Kodesh (Torah studies) curriculum and in secular non-Jewish studies. The school is accredited by the New York State Board of Regents and has been accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools since 1999. It was renamed for longtime resident Stella K. Abraham in 1994.

Hewlett Bay Park is usually included as one of the Five Towns in the southwestern corner of Nassau County. In the context of the Five Towns, "The Hewletts" or "Hewlett" is often used to refer collectively to the hamlet of Hewlett, together with the villages of Hewlett Bay Park, Hewlett Harbor and Hewlett Neck. The Five Towns is usually said to comprise the villages of Lawrence and Cedarhurst, the hamlets of Woodmere and Inwood, and "The Hewletts", along with Woodsburgh.

Located in the Five Towns area of Long Island, it is the only high school in the Hewlett-Woodmere Union Free School District (District 14).

East Rockaway is a village in Nassau County, on the South Shore of Long Island, in New York, United States. The population was 9,818 at the 2010 census.The Incorporated Village of East Rockaway is at the edge of Rockaway Peninsula Proper in the town of Hempstead, adjacent to Hewlett Harbor, Hewlett, Rockville Centre, Lynbrook, and Oceanside. It is the final neighborhood before the beginning of Five Towns, although some have come to include wealthier sections of East Rockaway as a part of Five Towns. East Rockaway is an inner suburb, only 24 km (15 mi) from downtown Manhattan. The primary ethnicities are Italian and Irish. The Waverly Park neighborhood, near the Hewlett-East Rockaway Jewish Center [1] and along the border with Hewlett, has a sizable Jewish community.

The Incorporated Village of Hewlett Neck is included in the Five Towns, which is usually said to comprise the villages of Lawrence and Cedarhurst, as well as the hamlets of Woodmere, Inwood, and "The Hewletts," which consist of the villages of Hewlett Bay Park, Hewlett Harbor, Hewlett Neck, and Woodsburgh, and the unincorporated hamlet of Hewlett.

Denton Homestead is a historic home located at East Rockaway in Nassau County, New York. It was built as a tavern about 1795, and is a 1+1⁄2-story, five bay, center hall plan, vernacular Colonial style frame dwelling. The Denton family bought it in 1808 and converted to a residential farmhouse. It has a side gable roof and a hipped roof addition added after the house was moved to its present location in 1924. The front facade features a full width, shed roofed front porch. The interior features some Colonial Revival style design elements. Also on the property is a contributing carriage house (c. 1900). The house is a rare surviving former tavern and farmhouse from the village's early period.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2014.

Lynbrook Senior High School (commonly known as Lynbrook High School) is the four-year public high school located in the village of Lynbrook, New York in Nassau County on Long Island. The school district serves the Village of Lynbrook, as well as parts of neighboring Hewlett, Hewlett Harbor, East Rockaway, as well as small portions of Malverne and Valley Stream.As of the 2014-15 school year, the school had an enrollment of 906 students and 73.9 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 12.3:1. There were 79 students (8.7% of enrollment) eligible for free lunch and 15 (1.7% of students) eligible for reduced-cost lunch.Lynbrook High School was recognized by the United States Department of Education in the 1990-1991 school year as a Blue Ribbon School of Excellence.Lynbrook Senior High School offers a wide range of academics, and class sizes are typically small, with an average of 250 to 300 students per grade.The school produces many All-County athletes and musicians, has won many county and state team sport championships, and has an award-winning high school newspaper, Horizon.

Lynbrook is a Long Island Rail Road commuter train station in Lynbrook, New York. The station is located at the intersection of Sunrise Highway and Peninsula Boulevard and is located on the railroad's Montauk Branch line, though it is served by Long Beach Branch trains and select weekday Babylon Branch trains. The station is elevated and is wheelchair accessible through elevator access. Long Beach Branch and Babylon Branch trains stop there hourly (every 30 minutes when combined) on an alternating basis during off-peak hours. Peak service is about every 20 minutes or less. Late night service is every two hours.
