George W. Hewlett High School

Stella K. Abraham High School for Girls is a Modern Orthodox Jewish day school, a college preparatory high school for grades 9-12, located in Hewlett Bay Park in Nassau County, New York, United States. The school is part of the Hebrew Academy of Long Beach which purchased the former Lawrence Country Day School 9.2-acre (37,000 m2) campus in 1992 for $2.2 million. Academics at the school focuses both on the Limudei Kodesh (Torah studies) curriculum and in secular non-Jewish studies. The school is accredited by the New York State Board of Regents and has been accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools since 1999. It was renamed for longtime resident Stella K. Abraham in 1994.

Yeshiva of South Shore (YOSS) is an American Orthodox boys' and men's yeshiva in Long Island that was opened at a time when the area had no yeshivos, and subsequently expanded to being in need of renting unused public school space. In part, this was due to growth of the local Orthodox Jewish population: The New York Times reported that 90% of those newly moving in were Orthodox Jews.

Gibson is a station on the Long Island Rail Road's Far Rockaway Branch in the Gibson section of Valley Stream, in Nassau County, New York. Congregation Aish Kodesh (Hebrew: קהילת אש קודש, "Congregation Holy Fire") is an Orthodox synagogue in Woodmere, New York. Led since its founding in 1992 by Rabbi Moshe Weinberger, the synagogue was named after the Piaseczna Rav, Rabbi Kalonymus Kalman Shapira, known by the name of his last work, Aish Kodesh, who was a leading Polish Hasidic rabbi in prewar Europe. By injecting Hasidic elements into the prayer services, social events, and daily classes, Aish Kodesh has been called a "phenomenon" and a "revolution" in the religious community of Long Island.
