California University of Management and Technology (CALMAT) is a tertiary education provider in Silicon Valley. Programs and courses at CALMAT are designed to support both full-time and part-time students. An Advisory Board consisting of leaders in industry from Silicon Valley, including Charles Wang, Thomas Blood, Dennis Hungridge, Samuel Tong, Dennis Sahani, is closely involved in shaping the nature and content of the programs offered by CALMAT. CALMAT currently offers an MBA program and a Master of Science program in Computer science and Information technology. It also offers several degree completion program options for a Bachelor of Business Administration that are designed to bridge 2-year or 3-year college coursework into a bachelor's degree and preparation for graduate studies.

Adrian C. Wilcox High School is a public school located in Santa Clara, California. It is one of two high schools serving those living within the boundaries of the Santa Clara Unified School District. (Previously there were four high schools in the district. See below.) The school is named after Adrian C. Wilcox, who served on the Santa Clara Union High School Board of Trustees for over 30 years. Wilcox was first accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) in 1966 and is accredited through 2009. In April 2005, Wilcox officially became a California Distinguished School.

Saint Lawrence Academy was a college-preparatory Roman Catholic high school in Santa Clara, California, US, founded in 1975. The school was marketed for its small size with close interaction among students, administration, faculty, and counselors. It was affiliated with the Diocese of San Jose. It closed in 2016.

The Santa Clara Valley is a geologic trough in Northern California that extends 90 miles (145 km) south–southeast from San Francisco to Hollister. The longitudinal valley is bordered on the west by the Santa Cruz Mountains and on the east by the Diablo Range; the two coastal ranges meet south of Hollister. The San Francisco Bay borders the valley to the north, and fills much of the northern third of the valley. The valley floor is an alluvial plain that formed in the graben (tectonic depression) between the San Andreas Fault to the west and the Hayward and Calaveras faults to the east. Within the valley and surrounding the bay on three sides are the urban communities of San Mateo County, Santa Clara County, and Alameda County, while the narrow southern reaches of the valley extend into rural San Benito County to Hollister. In practical terms, the central portion of the Santa Clara Valley is often considered by itself, contained entirely within Santa Clara County.The valley, named after the Spanish Mission Santa Clara, was for a time known as the Valley of Heart's Delight for its high concentration of orchards, flowering trees, and plants. Until the 1960s it was the largest fruit-producing and packing region in the world, with 39 canneries. The high-tech industrial growth starting in the 1960s—later known as Silicon Valley—transformed the area from extensive agricultural tracts to an urbanized landscape. More recently, extensive droughts in California, further complicated by drainage of the local Anderson reservoir for seismic repairs, have strained the city's water security.

The Santa Clara Unified School District (SCUSD) is a school district in Santa Clara County, California, United States that serves roughly 16,000 students from the cities of Santa Clara, Sunnyvale, and San Jose. The Santa Clara Unified School District operates eighteen elementary schools (K–5), four middle schools (6–8), one TK–8 school, five high schools (9–12), one community day school, one adult education program, and one dual enrollment partnership with the West Valley–Mission Community College District. The district is very diverse, with 71% of the community being nonwhite.

New Valley High School is a small SCUSD alternative school outside of the Santa Clara Unified School District office near Lawrence Expressway in Santa Clara. The school was previously located Wilson Alternative Education School, until it was recently relocated in 2001 due to overcrowding. The majority of the students enrolled at New Valley are either behind in earning the 230 required graduation credits, or have been expelled from either Wilcox High School or Santa Clara High School.

Herguan University was a private, unaccredited, university and alleged visa mill in Sunnyvale, California operated by Dr. Ying Qiu Wang. As of 2019, its domain names herguanuniversity.edu and herguanuniversity.org appear to be abandoned. Dr. Ying Qiu Wang also founded the University of East-West Medicine (UEWM), which according to its website was founded in 1997 and operates where Herguan University was located.

Rancho Pastoría de las Borregas was a 9,066-acre (36.69 km2) Mexican land grant in present day Santa Clara County, California, United States, given in 1842 by Governor Juan Alvarado to Francisco Estrada. The name means "Ranch of the Ewe/Lamb Pasture" in Spanish. The rancho lands encompassed the present day cities of Sunnyvale and Mountain View.

ClearEdge Power, Inc. was a fuel cell manufacturer focusing on the stationary fuel cell. It was headquartered in South Windsor, Connecticut, U.S. The company employed 225 people as of August 2011. It closed its operations in Connecticut in April 2014, and filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in May 2014. The company's assets were purchased out of bankruptcy by Doosan Fuel Cell America, Inc.

The Apple Wolfe campus, also called Apple Campus 3 or AC3, and formerly called Central & Wolfe, is an office complex owned and occupied by Apple, Inc., located in Sunnyvale, California. It is Apple's third large campus in Silicon Valley and was completed 2018. It was originally speculatively designed by the architecture and site engineering firm HOK and was constructed by HOK's Level 10 Construction. The Korth Sunseri Hagey (KSH) architecture firm and the Jay Paul Company and Landbank commercial real estate development companies were also involved in the project.

Shiv Durga Temple of Bay Area is a Hindu temple in Santa Clara, California that serves the Hindu population of the San Francisco Bay Area. The temple opened in December 2012. The main deity of the temple is Goddess Durga. The temple also has idols of other deities such as Lord Ganesha, Sai Baba, Shiva Linga and Radha Krishna. The temple is visited by 100,000 Hindu pilgrims per year.

Citrix Systems, Inc. is an American multinational cloud computing and virtualization technology company that provides server, application and desktop virtualization, networking, software as a service (SaaS), and cloud computing technologies. Citrix products are claimed to be in use by over 400,000 clients worldwide, including 99% of the Fortune 100, and 98% of the Fortune 500.The company was founded in Richardson, Texas in 1989 by Ed Iacobucci, who served as chairman until his departure in 2000. It began by developing remote access products for Microsoft operating systems, licensing source code from Microsoft, and has been in partnership with the company throughout its history. By the 1990s, Citrix came to prominence as an industry leader in thin client technology, enabling purpose-built devices to access remote servers and resources. The company launched its first initial public offering in 1995 and, with few competitors, experienced large revenue increases between 1995 and 1999. Citrix acquired Sequoia Software Corp. in 2001 and ExpertCity, a provider of remote desktop products, in 2003. This was followed by more than a dozen other acquisitions from 2005 to 2012, which allowed Citrix to expand into server and desktop virtualization, cloud computing, Infrastructure as a Service, and Software as a Service offerings. In 2014, Citrix acquired Framehawk and used its technology to improve the delivery of virtual desktops and applications over wireless networks. In 2016, as part of a US$1.8 billion product deal with LogMeIn, Citrix spun off the GoTo product line into a new business entity, entitled GetGo. In 2017, Citrix completed the merger of GetGo with LogMeIn's products. Citrix has corporate headquarters in both Fort Lauderdale, Florida and Santa Clara, California, with subsidiary operations in California and Massachusetts, and additional development centers in Canada, Denmark, Germany, India, and the United Kingdom. In 2020, Citrix generated $3.2 billion in revenue and had 9,000 employees.
