Floraville is a suburb of the City of Lake Macquarie in New South Wales, Australia 17 kilometres (11 mi) from Newcastle's central business district on the eastern side of Lake Macquarie and north of the town of Belmont. It has a school, which opened in 1967 and houses approximately 550 students.

Valentine FC is a semi-professional football club based in Valentine in the Hunter Region, New South Wales and is part of the Valentine Eleebana Football Club. Valentine have been promoted to the National Premier Leagues Northern NSW for 2016 with teams in First Grade, Under 23s, Under 19 and Under 17 divisions. Jewells known from opening until 4 November 1917 as Jewells Swamp is a closed railway platform on the Belmont railway line in New South Wales, Australia. The station opened on 2 January 1917 and closed on 18 April 1940

Tingira Heights is a suburb of City of Lake Macquarie in New South Wales, Australia, 16 kilometres (10 mi) south-west of Newcastle's central business district on the eastern side of Lake Macquarie. It was developed in the 1960s. The Awabakal are the traditional people of this area.Tingira is the name of an aboriginal tribe on the NSW / Qld border, which means "open sea". A ship of the same name was Australia's first naval training vessel in 1912 and was decommissioned in 1941. In 1965 the H.M.A.S Tingira Old Boys Association asked to have a town named after the ship, and the name was adopted by the Violet Town Progress Association. Tingara is an alternative spelling.

Belmont Hospital is an acute care public hospital servicing the City of Lake Macquarie in New South Wales, Australia. Established in 1968, it is the only public hospital in the Local Government Area and is located on Croudace Bay Road in the suburb of Belmont. The hospital is operated by the Hunter New England Local Health District. The hospital underwent a major $31.5 million redevelopment between 2003 and 2007 allowing it to expand the range of specialist services available.

Belmont is situated on a sandy peninsula formed by the Tasman Sea on the east and Lake Macquarie.

Belmont is a closed railway station on the Belmont railway line in New South Wales, Australia. The station opened in 1917 and closed on 2 January 1971.

Jewells is a suburb of the City of Lake Macquarie in New South Wales, Australia 15 kilometres (9 mi) from Newcastle's central business district on the eastern side of Lake Macquarie and north-east of the town of Belmont.

Windale is a suburb of the city of Lake Macquarie, in the Newcastle metropolitan area. It is located west of the junction of the Pacific Highway and Newcastle Inner City Bypass, covering an area of 1.7 km2 (0.7 sq mi). Windale is a lower socio-economic area consisting largely of public housing homes, and has historically been known for its high rates of alcoholism, crime and unemployment, however recent local government efforts to regenerate the area have been somewhat successful. The suburb was listed as one of the most socially disadvantaged areas in the State according to the 2015 Dropping Off The Edge report.

Croudace Bay is a suburb of the City of Lake Macquarie in New South Wales, Australia, located 19 kilometres (12 mi) southwest of Newcastle's central business district on the eastern side of Lake Macquarie. It was named after Thomas Croudace a mining engineer for the Scottish-Australian Mining Company. The town has Croudace Bay Sports where rugby league , netball , cricket and tennis are played. In 2016 574 people lived there with the median age of 41. 27.8 5 had No Religion, 25.3% Anglican, 21.0% Catholic, 6.9% United Church and 6.4% Not Stated. 93.2% only speak English at home with 1% speaking Afrikkaans and 0.5% speaking Polish.

Lake Macquarie Yacht Club (LMYC) is a yacht club located on Ada Street, Belmont, New South Wales, Australia. The club was founded in 1929 to cater for skiffs over 16 feet and combine both cruising and racing activities in its calendar of events. At a meeting on 2 October 1929 A. V. Toll was elected president; R. G. Gardiner, commodore; Dr Blumer, vice-commodore; and J. G. Biddlecombe, secretary and handicapper.At the annual general meeting in September 1933 members voted to erect a clubhouse at Belmont at a cost of £500.

Grecian was a sailing ship built in England in 1824. She was wrecked on Nine Mile Beach, New South Wales during a gale on 30 April 1864. Captain Grant lost his life.
