St Wilfrid's Church, Mobberley

The Old Hall is a country house in the village of Mobberley, Cheshire, England. It was built in 1612 and extended later in the 17th century. The house stands in gardens which retain part of the moat and ancient yew trees. The house is recorded in the National Heritage List for England as a designated Grade II* listed building, and the grounds contain two Grade II listed buildings.

Bucklow Rural District was, from 1894 to 1974, a local government district in the north of the administrative county of Cheshire, England. Following the Local Government Act 1972, this rural district was split between the new Greater Manchester boroughs of Trafford and Manchester, and Macclesfield, which was retained in Cheshire. Knutsford was an enclave and independent urban district surrounded by Bucklow RD, as was Altrincham until it expanded enough to link up with other districts in the north. The district was formed in 1894 based on Altrincham rural sanitary district by the Local Government Act 1894. It was known as the Altrincham Rural District until 1895. The three civil parishes of Northenden, Northen Etchells and Baguley were also part of the Bucklow Rural District until 1931, when Manchester Corporation, which had been given the Wythenshawe estate for municipal housing development, successfully petitioned Parliament to enable their transfer into Manchester.It was abolished and split up under the Local Government Act 1972 in 1974. The parish of Ringway (including Manchester Airport) went to Manchester, and the parishes of Carrington, Dunham Massey, Partington and Warburton went to Trafford. The remainder remained in Cheshire and became part of the new Macclesfield district.

Newton Hall is a country house east of the village of Mobberley, Cheshire, England. It was built between 1634 and 1676 for Francis Newton. Additions were made to the house in the 19th and 20th centuries. It is constructed in brick that has been rendered and whitewashed, and has stone dressings and slated roofs. The house has three storeys, and along the entrance front are three gables with bargeboards dating from the 19th century. In the ground floor are five windows, all in 20th-century metal frames. In the upper floors are 19th-century two-light casement windows. To the left of the house is a large 20th-century extension, and behind it is a wing dating from the 17th century. The house is recorded in the National Heritage List for England as a designated Grade II listed building. The gate piers, dating from the 18th century, are also listed at Grade II.

Antrobus Hall is a country house in the village of Mobberley, Cheshire, England. It was built in 1709, and a wing was added in about 1760. It was built for John Antrobus, a dissenter from Knutsford. The hall is constructed in brick, and has a stone-flagged roof. The house, together with its garden walls and gate piers, are recorded in the National Heritage List for England as a designated Grade II* listed building. The house has five bays on the ground floor, and four on its upper floor. The gate piers are rusticated.

Dukenfield Hall is a country house between Knutsford and Mobberley in Cheshire, England. Dukenfield Hall is recorded in the National Heritage List for England as a designated Grade II* listed building. It is constructed in plum-coloured brick with stone dressings, and has a stone-slate roof. The house is in two storeys plus an attic. Its entrance front is E-shaped, and has three projecting wings with gables. Associated with the house are two structures listed at Grade II. These are the gate piers to the forecourt, and a barn.The house was originally called Podmore House. It originated in the late 16th or early 17th century as a small cruck-framed house, entered at one end. During the 17th century it was faced with brick, cross wings were added and the roof was heightened. Further additions were made to the house in the 19th and 20th centuries. Since 1987 Dukenfield Hall has been home to David Briggs and his family. Since 2010 he has served as the Lord Lieutenant of Cheshire.

Ullerwood Castle is an early medieval castle, possibly a shell keep, in Ringway, Manchester, England (grid reference SJ800838). The castle is first referred to in 1173, in a document stating Hamon de Masci held the castles of Ullerwood and Dunham. There is no other contemporary documented reference to the castle. Ullerwood Castle has been confused with Watch Hill Castle in nearby Bowdon, but the two are separate castles, though both probably owned by de Masci. The site is underneath a house and surrounded by trees. ° It is possible that the site of the castle is at the top of Castle Hill at 53°20'57"N, 2°17'32"W. Examination of aerial views of the location on Google Earth indicates a circular structure with less well defined adjacent structures to the South East. The site is very close to a runway at Manchester Airport and lies within a restricted area.

Ollerton is a village in the Borough of Cheshire East and the ceremonial county of Cheshire, England. It is approximately 2 miles (3.2 km) south east of the town of Knutsford, and had a population of 323 in 2001, rising marginally to 329 at the 2011 Census.Local services are limited, and include a church in the adjacent village of Marthall, a pub and several postboxes. Other services such as the primary school, post office and shop have closed down, residents instead using services in Knutsford. Ollerton has a joint parish council with Marthall, elected every 3 years. The villages share the new village hall in Marthall, which was constructed in November 2009. Ollerton is thought to have come from the name Owlerton and is named in the Domesday Book of 1086.

Ollerton Hall is a country house in the village of Ollerton, Cheshire, England. Its nucleus dates from the 17th century, originally on an H-plan, followed by a succession of "rambling extensions". A plaque over the entrance is inscribed with the initials THP" (for Thomas Henry Potts) and the date 1728. The house was built originally for the De Baguley family. The building is constructed in rendered brick with a slate roof. It is in two storeys and, with the later extensions, has an E-plan. The entrance front has five bays, the central bay projecting forward with a gable. At each end is a gabled cross wing. The windows are a mixture of sashes and casements. The house is recorded in the National Heritage List for England as a designated Grade II listed building.
