Nishi-shinjuku-gochome Station (西新宿五丁目駅, Nishishinjuku Gochōme-eki) (alternative name 清水橋駅 Shimizubashi Station) is a train station on the Toei Oedo Line. It is operated by the Tokyo Metropolitan Bureau of Transportation.

Takanohana stable (貴乃花部屋, Takanohana-beya) was a stable of sumo wrestlers, created in 2004 when Takanohana Kōji took over the running of Futagoyama stable from his father Takanohana Kenshi. Formerly of the Nishonoseki ichimon or group of stables, it became the leader of a breakaway Takanohana group in 2010, which was formally recognized as an ichimon in 2014. It is one of the most successful sumo stables with 42 top division championships to its name, won by eight different wrestlers, if Futagoyama's history from 1962 is included. As of the September 2018 tournament the stable had eight wrestlers, including three sekitori. Takanohana resigned from the Japan Sumo Association shortly after that tournament and the stable was absorbed into Chiganoura stable on October 1, 2018.

Shinjuku Central Park (新宿中央公園, Shinjuku chūō kōen) is a park in western Shinjuku, Tokyo, Japan. The park is bordered by Honnnan Dori and Kita Dori to the north, Junisha Dori to the west, Suido Dori or Minami Dori to the south, and Koen Dori to the east. The park is located directly in front of the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building, and is surrounded by some of Tokyo's tallest buildings including the Hyatt Regency Tokyo, the Park Hyatt, and other hotels and office buildings.The park is accessible for the many office workers in the area and an ideal place for them to spend their lunch time. You can also see the belongings of homeless people carefully wrapped up in blue plastic ready to be unpacked at night time. Shinjuku Central Park is different from Shinjuku Gyo-en, located on the south-eastern side of Shinjuku Station. Right next to the park is Tochomae Station, which is served by the Toei Ōedo Line.

Tokyo Opera City Tower (東京オペラシティタワー, Tōkyō Opera Shiti Tawā) is a skyscraper located in Shinjuku, Tokyo, Japan. Completed in 1996, it stands 234 metres (768 feet) high and has 54 floors. The tower is the third-tallest building in Shinjuku, Tokyo and seventh-tallest in Tokyo. The closest train station to Opera City is Hatsudai. The building houses concert halls, an art gallery, a media-art museum (NTT InterCommunication Center) and many restaurants and shops on its lower floors. The fifth through fifty-second floors are devoted to office space. The building is adjacent to the New National Theater, which is located in Shibuya, Tokyo. The combined complex of the tower and the theatre is called the "Tokyo Opera City".
