With an area of 400,000 square metres (99 acres), it is the largest film studio in Europe, and is considered the hub of Italian cinema. The studios were constructed during the Fascist era as part of a plan to revive the Italian film industry.Filmmakers such as Federico Fellini, Roberto Rossellini, Luchino Visconti, Sergio Leone, Bernardo Bertolucci, Francis Ford Coppola, Martin Scorsese, and Mel Gibson have worked at Cinecittà. More than 3,000 movies have been filmed there, of which 90 received an Academy Award nomination and 47 of these won it. In the 1950s, the number of international productions being made there led to Rome being dubbed "Hollywood on the Tiber."

The Parco degli Acquedotti is a public park to the southeast of Rome, Italy. It is part of the Appian Way Regional Park and is of approximately 240 ha.

The Basilica of Saint John Bosco is a church in the Don Bosco quarter of Rome, situated between the via Tuscolana and Centocelle Airport. It is dedicated to Saint John Bosco. On 5 February 1965, Pope Paul VI established this church as a deaconry under the name San Giovanni Bosco in Via Tuscolana. He gave it the status of a minor basilica on 20 November 1965. The church is a parish seat of the Diocese of Rome and has been entrusted to the care of the Salesian Fathers.

Giulio Agricola is an underground station on Line A of the Rome Metro. It is located on Via Tuscolana, on the junction with Viale Giulio Agricola and Viale Marco Fulvio Nobiliore, in an area where roads and squares are named after Roman commanders and consuls. The station is the setting for the short film Ultimo Metro with Debora Calì.

The Roma Film Academy (RFA) is an Italian film school situated in Cinecittà Studios, Rome. Founded in 2014 as a private school, the RFA provides practical courses on a variety of film-making skills. It is an academic structure devoted to culture and education especially concentrated in the artistic context, above all in audiovisual communication and entertainment. In particular, it is proposed as a reference point for whoever is interested in undertaking a professional career in all those activities that revolve around cinema and television business. The academic courses are biennial professional courses. There are eight subjects of specialization, that is, Directing, Acting, Production, Screenplay, Direction of Photography, Sound, Editing, and Costume. It also provides students with several facilities, included classrooms, a theatre, and various sets.

The Villa dei Sette Bassi (also Villa Via Tuscolana) was the second-largest ancient Roman villa or monumental palace in the suburbs after the Villa of the Quintilii.The site is on a hilly plateau located at the fifth mile of Via Tuscolana to the southeast of Rome and forms part of the Appia Antica archaeological park. The name, known since the Middle Ages, is probably derived from the emperor Lucius Septimius Bassianus known as Caracalla (r. 198-217) and not from Septimius Bassus, prefect under the Emperor Septimius Severus (r.193–211) (Caracalla's father). Indeed, it seems that Caracalla had merged the villa of the Sette Bassi and the villa of the Quintilii into a single vast imperial estate. It was inhabited until the beginning of the fourth century, and maintained by additional restorations for two more centuries. Six Roman marble sculptures from the site can be found in the British Museum.

San Policarpo all'Acquedotto Claudio is a parochial church in Rome and titular church for a Cardinal-Priest. It is named for the Aqua Claudia aqueduct nearby, and for Polycarp, a 2nd-century AD saint and writer.

San Gabriele dell'Addolorata is a church located in Don Bosco district. In 2015, Pope Francis created this church as the seat of cardinalatial Title Sancti Gabrieli Aperdolentis. It is dedicated to Saint Gabriel of Our Lady of Sorrows (1838–1862).
