Vallerville, Massachusetts

Ship Pond is an 11-acre (45,000 m2) reservoir in the Vallerville village of Plymouth, Massachusetts located in a narrow area between Route 3A and Cape Cod Bay, south of Surfside Beach, north of Bayside Beach, and east of Morey Hole. The pond is a secondary municipal water supply for the Town of Plymouth.

Morey Hole (also known as Morey's Hole), is a 22-acre (89,000 m2) pond in Plymouth, Massachusetts, west of Vallerville and Ship Pond, and southwest of Briggs Reservoir. Camp Child, a former summer camp run by the Old Colony Council of the Boy Scouts of America from 1925 through 1995, surrounds the pond.

Shallow Pond is an 18-acre (73,000 m2) pond in the Manomet section of Plymouth, Massachusetts, USA. It is located south of Fresh Pond, north of Briggs Reservoir, southwest of Cedar Bushes and west of Manomet Beach. The water quality is impaired due to non-native aquatic plants and nuisance exotic species.

Ellisville is a village in southeastern Plymouth, Massachusetts, United States. It is located on Cape Cod Bay, and is situated south of Vallerville and north of Cedarville. The neighborhoods within Ellisville include Harlow's Landing and Eastland Heights. Ellisville Harbor State Park, in the northern part of the village, has a natural harbor and beach. Ellisville is named after the original owner of the property, Lt. John Ellis, who commanded the town of Sandwich militia. It is believed that he was a victim of an ambush during King Philip's War.

Briggs Reservoir is a 28-acre (110,000 m2) reservoir in Plymouth, Massachusetts located in the Manomet section of town south of Shallow Pond, southwest of Manomet Beach, northwest of Vallerville and northeast of Morey Hole. Indian Brook flows through the reservoir. There are two unnamed islands in the reservoir. The water quality is impaired due to non-native aquatic plants and non-native fish in the reservoir. There is another Briggs Reservoir located within Plymouth's boundaries in Billington Sea village.

Savery Pond is a 33-acre (130,000 m2) pond in Ellisville section of Plymouth, Massachusetts, in the Eastland Heights neighborhood, approximately 2,000 feet (610 m) from Route 3A off Old Sandwich Road. Indian Head Campground maintains a beach along the southern shore of the pond.

Ellisville Harbor State Park is a nature preserve and public recreation area located in the village of Ellisville, Massachusetts, United States, on the western shore of Cape Cod Bay. Natural features of the coastal property include a barrier beach, sphagnum bog, salt marsh, rolling meadows, and red pine forest habitats. Scenic features include views of the South Shore coastline, small fishing boats, harbor seals seen offshore during fall and winter, and birds attracted to the park's bog as both habitat and migration stopover. The state park is managed by the Department of Conservation and Recreation.

South Plymouth is the portion of Plymouth, Massachusetts, United States that covers much of the southern section of the town beginning at the Pine Hills, a large, mostly undeveloped forested area south of Plymouth Beach, Chiltonville and South Pond. The remainder of the section is south and east of the northeastern entrance to Myles Standish State Forest, stretching to the Bourne and Wareham town lines. Great Island Pond, known officially as Island Pond, is a 77-acre (310,000 m2) pond in Plymouth, Massachusetts, one of three ponds known as Island Pond within the town (One is located near South Pond village, and the other is located in the Cedarville section of town). The pond is located in the eastern portion of The Pinehills development south of Little Island Pond. The Pinehills has a private sewer treatment facility near this pond, which was also formerly used as a holding facility by The Pine Hills LLC Golf Club until the spring of 2003. The Golf Club currently is permitted to withdraw water from four interceptor wells located between the sewer treatment facility and the pond.

Fresh Pond is a 62-acre (250,000 m2) pond in the Manomet section of Plymouth, Massachusetts. The average depth is 12 feet (3.7 m) and the maximum depth is 30 feet (9.1 m). The southern shore of the pond is located in the Churchill Landing neighborhood, south of Manomet's business district and Manomet Bluffs, west of Fisherman's Landing, north of Cedar Bushes and Shallow Pond, and east of Beaver Dam Pond. Route 3A runs along the southeastern shore of the pond to its most southeastern point where it shoots away at a sharp curve known as the Brown Bear Curve, named after a defunct motel along the shore at that curve. A public beach, boat ramp, and a Native American burial site are located on the western shore of the pond on Bartlett Road, which has two intersections with Route 3A. The closer intersection is south of the Brown Bear Curve, while the other intersection is one mile (1.6 km) north, north of Manomet's business district. The pond is hydrologically associated with a cranberry bog operation located to the west of the pond. An unnamed brook (locally called "Hell's River" by some) heads west through the cranberry bog and ultimately leading to Beaver Dam Brook is the outflow of the pond.

Long Island Pond, also known as Little Island Pond, is a 30-acre (120,000 m2) pond in Plymouth, Massachusetts. The pond is located in the eastern portion of The Pinehills development north of Great Island Pond and south of Beaver Dam Pond.

Beaver Dam Pond is a 30-acre (120,000 m2) pond in the Manomet section of Plymouth, Massachusetts. The pond is located north of Little Island Pond, west of Fresh Pond, and east of the Pine Hills. The pond is the headwaters of Beaver Dam Brook. The water quality may be impaired due to discharge from developments in the watershed. Non-native plants in the watershed are being managed by the owners.
