Selinountas, Achaea

Eliki (Greek: Ελίκη, before 1917: Ζευγολατιό - Zevgolatio), is a village in the municipal unit of Diakopto, Achaea, Greece. It was named after the nearby ancient town Helike. Eliki is located near the river Selinountas and the Gulf of Corinth. It is 5 km (3.1 mi) southeast of Aigio and 7 km (4.3 mi) west of Diakopto. Nea Keryneia is adjacent to the east. Eliki had a population of 516 in 2011, including the small village Kalanteri. The Greek National Road 8A (Athens - Corinth - Patras) passes south of the village.

Temeni (Greek: Τέμενη) is a village in the municipal unit of Aigio, Achaea, Greece. Temeni had a population of 1,214 in 2011. It is situated between the river Selinountas and the Gulf of Corinth, 4 km southeast of Aigio town centre and 1 km west of Valimitika. The spring water Avra is manufactured near Temeni.

Keryneia (Greek: Κερύνεια) is a village and a community in the municipal unit of Diakopto, Achaea, Greece. The community consists of the villages Keryneia and Nea Keryneia. It is located 6 km southeast of Aigio and 7 km west of Diakopto. The Greek National Road 8A (Patras - Aigio - Corinth) passes between Keryneia and Nea Keryneia. In 2011 Keryneia had a population of 35 for the village and 362 for the community. The town takes its name from the ancient town of Ceryneia

Aigio railway station (Greek: Σιδηροδρομικός Σταθμός Αιγίου, romanized: Sidirodromikós Stathmós Aigíou) is a train station in Aigio in the northern Peloponnese, Greece. Since June 2020, it is served by Hellenic Train local services to Kiato. The station is located on the outskirts of Aigio, 2 km from the town's centre.

Helike (; Greek: Ἑλίκη, pronounced [heˈlikɛː], modern Greek pronunciation: [eˈlici]) was an ancient Greek polis (city-state) that was submerged by a tsunami in the winter of 373 BC. It was located in the regional unit of Achaea, northern Peloponnesos, two kilometres (12 stadia) from the Corinthian Gulf and near the city of Boura, which, like Helike, was a member of the Achaean League. Modern research attributes the catastrophe to an earthquake and accompanying tsunami which destroyed and submerged the city. In an effort to protect the site from destruction, the World Monuments Fund included Helike in its 2004 and 2006 List of 100 Most Endangered Sites.

Rizomylos (Greek: Ριζόμυλος meaning rice mill) is a village in the municipal unit of Diakopto, Achaea, Greece. Its beach on the Gulf of Corinth, 2 km northeast of the village, is well known. Aigio is 6 km to the northwest, and the village Nea Keryneia is adjacent to the west. The Greek National Road 8A (Patras - Corinth) passes south of the village. In 2011, Rizomylos had a population of 366 inhabitants.

The Aigio General Hospital (Greek: Γενικό Νοσοκομείο Αιγίου), also known as General Hospital of Eastern Achaia - Unit of Aigio is a public general hospital situated a few kilometres out of the town of Aigio in the Peloponnese peninsula of southern Greece. It has a capacity of 100 beds. The hospital performs the greatest number of laparoscopic surgeries in Greece, while more than 50,000 people are examined on a yearly basis. The total personnel of the hospital numbered 217 in 2013. It supports the operation of two sectors. The internal medicine sector (capacity 50 beds) has three departments: Internal Medicine (known as "pathology" in Greek medical practice), Cardiology and Paediatrics. The surgical sector (capacity 50 beds) has 6 departments: Surgical, Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Orthopaedic, Urological, Dental and Anaesthesiology. In 2007 the operating rooms of the surgery department were destroyed by fire and were totally rebuilt in 2008.

Valimitika (Greek: Βαλιμίτικα) is a village in the municipal unit of Aigio, Achaea, Greece. It is situated at the outflow of the river Selinountas into the Gulf of Corinth, 5 km east of Aigio. The railway from Corinth to Patras passes through the village. In 2011 Valimitika had a population of 575.

Nikolaiika (Greek: Νικολαίικα) is a village in the municipal unit of Diakopto, Achaea, Greece. It is located near the Gulf of Corinth coast, 1 km east of Rizomylos, 5 km west of Diakopto and 7 km southeast of Aigio. The Greek National Road 8A (Patras - Aigio - Corinth) passes south of the village. In 2011, Nikolaiika had a population of 438.

The Barony of Vostitsa was a medieval Frankish fiefdom of the Principality of Achaea, located in the northern coast of the Peloponnese peninsula in Greece, centred on the town of Vostitsa (Greek: Βοστίτζα; French: La Vostice; Italian: Lagostica; modern Aigio).

Aigialeia (Greek: Αιγιάλεια, pronounced [eˈʝalia]) is a municipality and a former province (επαρχία) in the eastern part of the Achaea regional unit, Greece. The seat of the municipality is the town Aigio. The municipality has an area of 723.063 km2. The main towns are Aigio, Akrata and Diakopto. The municipality Aigialeia stretches from the south coast of the Gulf of Corinth to the mountainous interior of the Peloponnese peninsula. The main rivers of the municipality are the Selinountas and the Vouraikos.

Mavriki (Greek: Μαυρίκι) is a community in the municipal unit of Aigio, Achaea, Greece. It consists of the villages Kato Mavriki, Ano Mavriki and Agios Ioannis. It is located on the left bank of the river Selinountas, 5 km south of Aigio. In 2011, the population was 380 for Kato Mavriki, and 403 for the community Mavriki. Mavriki suffered damage from the 2007 Greek forest fires.
