Deerfield station
Deerfield is one of two Metra commuter railroad stations in Deerfield, Illinois along the Milwaukee District North Line. It is located at 860 Deerfield Road, 2 blocks west of Illinois State Route 43, is 24.6 miles (39.6 km) away from Chicago Union Station, the southern terminus of the line. The station serves commuters between Union Station and Fox Lake, Illinois. As of 2018, Deerfield is the 39th busiest of Metra's 236 non-downtown stations, with an average of 1,133 weekday boardings. The current station originally served the Chicago, Milwaukee, St. Paul & Pacific Railroad, and replaced two older stations built by the railway. As of December 12, 2022, Deerfield is served by 50 trains (24 inbound, all 26 outbound) on weekdays, by all 20 trains (10 in each direction) on Saturdays, and by all 18 trains (nine in each direction) on Sundays and holidays. On weekdays, two inbound trains originate here, and two outbound trains terminate here. The commuter parking lot east of the station and tracks is the site of the Deerfield Farmer's Market, Saturday Mornings from June to October.
