Mercy Hospital South (formerly St. Anthony's Medical Center until October 1, 2018) is the third-largest medical center in Greater St. Louis and an affiliate of Mercy. It is the only designated Level II Trauma Center in either South St. Louis County or Jefferson County. The hospital is located in the unincorporated community, Sappington, Missouri just south of I-270 along Tesson Ferry Road (Missouri Route 21). It serves families in St. Louis County, St. Louis City, and Jefferson County, as well as Franklin County, St. Francois County, Ste. Genevieve County, and Washington County in Missouri, along with Monroe, Randolph and St. Clair counties in Illinois. In addition, Mercy Hospital South operates four urgent care facilities located in Arnold, Fenton, Kirkwood, and Lemay. Mercy Hospital South has 767 licensed beds and is staffed by approximately 3,700 employees, 790 physicians and provides care to approximately 200,000 patients each year.

Alswel, also known as the William Lemp Estate House, is a house in Sunset Hills, Missouri built by German-American brewer William J. Lemp, Jr. in 1911. Designed by Lemp Brewery staff architect Guy Norton in the unusual Tyrolean Chalet style, it is situated on a bluff roughly 200 feet above the Meramec River in south St. Louis County, Missouri. The estate grounds once consisted of almost 200 acres, but sell-offs and residential subdivision have reduced this to a 2.1 acre lot on which the house currently sits.

Sunset Country Club is a country club in Sunset Hills, Missouri, in south St. Louis County, Missouri. The par-72 18-hole golf course designed by Robert and James Foulis was built in 1917. A master plan created by Dr. Michael Hurdzan has guided recent course renovations.

Joseph Sappington House is a building on the National Register of Historic Places (NRHP) that was built around 1816. It was built for Joseph Sappington, a relative of John Sappington who was a prominent figure in early St. Louis. It is located near Crestwood, Missouri and was added to the NRHP in 1982.
