Brookhampton is a hamlet in the village and civil parish of Stadhampton, 5 miles (8.0 km) north of Wallingford, in South Oxfordshire, England.

Stadhampton is a village and civil parish about 7 miles (11 km) southeast of Oxford in South Oxfordshire, England. Stadhampton is close to the River Thame, a tributary of the River Thames. The village was first mentioned by name in 1146, and was in the ownership of the bishops of Lincoln, the crown, and various Oxford colleges for most of subsequent history. The village includes several buildings of historical and architectural interest, including a parish church with features dating back to the 12th-century.

Chippinghurst Manor is a Grade II listed country house in Oxfordshire, England.The name of "Chippinghurst" manor means "the hill of Cibba" and appeared as "Cibbaherste" in the 1086 Domesday Book. The Saxon settlement there was part of the estate granted to Abingdon in 956, but by 1086 the hamlet and land, assessed as an area of three hides, had passed to William, Count of Évreux. There were two ploughs and one serf on the demesne; four villeins with two ploughs tended the rest of the manor. The current manor house dates from the late 16th Century. It was extended in 1937 by R. Fielding Dodd for James McDougall, of the flour firm, who acquired the property in 1931. The main house is built of coursed limestone rubble with ashlar stone quoins. It has a plain-tile roof with brick stacks. It is arranged in a U-shaped layout and has two storeys. The house was Grade II listed in 1963.The couple John Ambler (1924–2008), a British businessman, and the Swedish Princess Margaretha, Mrs. Ambler (born 1934) lived here. The property has also been owned by the banker Sir Victor Blank.The house is close to Cuddesdon and Denton (north), Garsington (northwest), and South Milton (east), in South Oxfordshire. The River Thame runs just to the east of the property. It is part of the hamlet of Chippinghurst.

The Aston Martin Heritage Trust (AMHT) is a Charitable Incorporated Organisation that manages the Aston Martin Museum an automobile museum presenting the history of Aston Martin cars. It is located off Dorchester Road in the village of Drayton St Leonard, South Oxfordshire, England. The AMHT was founded in 1998 and the Museum opened in 2002. It is housed in a 15th-century barn, built by the monks of Dorchester Abbey. The collection ranges from the oldest surviving Aston Martin car, No. 3 to a Vanquish Volante pre-production model dating from 2013.

Ascott is a hamlet and manor house in the English county of Oxfordshire. Ascott lies close to the River Thame north of Dorchester, around about 7 miles (11 km) to the southeast of Oxford in the parish of Stadhampton.The original settlement dates to at least the Anglo-Saxon period, and the name ‘Ascott’ is derived from the Old English ēast (east) and cot (cottage). Ascott is recorded in the Domesday Book of 1086 as one of two knight's fees under the lordship of the Bishop of Lincoln, at that time part of the neighbouring parish of Great Milton. The settlement was held until the middle of the thirteenth century by the D'Oyly family until it came under the ownership of a John Fiennes or Fynes, one of the lords of the manor of Ascott, in 1316. Ascott remained in the hands of the Fiennes family until the fifteenth century, including under the ownership of James Fiennes, 1st Baron Saye and Sele, a celebrated English soldier and statesman of the Hundred Years' War and Lord Chamberlain to Henry VI of England. By 1510, Ascott was in the possession of the Dormer family, and remained one of the seats of the family for many generations, alongside Rousham House. A substantial house built by Sir William Dormer may have been attacked during a Parliamentarian raid on Ascott during the English Civil War in 1642, and subsequently burnt down. The site of this house forms part of Ascott park. One of the gateway pillars of Ascott park is the subject of surrealist painter and war artist Paul Nash's 1932-1942 oil painting Pillar and Moon, while the gateway itself (as well as its wrought-iron gates) are held by the Victoria and Albert Museum and on display at the Bodleian Library in Oxford.Ascott Manor itself dates to the early seventeenth century, having been built in around 1620 in the reign of James I, and later extended around 1800. The house is Grade II listed on the National Heritage List for England.

Beauforest House is a historic house, near Newington, Oxfordshire, England. It has been listed Grade II on the National Heritage List for England since 1963.It a former rectory and dates back to about 1500, and was extended in the late 18th century and again in about 1800.In 1951, The Rectory, as it was then known, was sold to art historian and administrator Sir John Rothenstein, who renamed it Beauforest House. In 2014, it was owned by Christopher Brett, 5th Viscount Esher.As of November 2021, it is for sale at £4.5 million.

Garsington Manor, in the village of Garsington, near Oxford, England, is a country house, dating from the 17th century. Its fame derives principally from its owner in the early 20th century, the "legendary Ottoline Morrell, who held court from 1915 to 1924".Members of the Bloomsbury Group, the aristocratic Ottoline, and her wealthy husband Philip, were friends with an array of artists, writers and intellectuals, D. H. Lawrence, T. S. Eliot, E. M. Forster, Bertrand Russell, Aldous Huxley, Virginia Woolf and Siegfried Sassoon being among the visitors to their house. The manor was later owned by Leonard Ingrams and from 1989 to 2010 was the setting for an annual summer opera season, the Garsington Opera, which relocated to Wormsley Park in 2011. Garsington is a Grade II* listed building.

Denton is a hamlet and former civil parish, now in the parish of Cuddesdon and Denton, in the South Oxfordshire district, in Oxfordshire, England. Denton's toponym is derived from the Old English den-tun meaning "valley farmstead". Denton is in a fold of the landscape, between the two hills on which Cuddesdon and Garsington stand. Denton is an ancient manor and had its own civil parish, but it was merged with neighbouring Cuddesdon in the 20th century. Denton was formerly a hamlet in the parish of Cuddesden, in 1866 Denton became a civil parish, on 1 April 1962 the parish was abolished and merged with Cuddesden to form "Cuddesdon and Denton". In 1961 the parish had a population of 112.

Garsington is a village and civil parish about 8 kilometres (5 mi) southeast of Oxford in Oxfordshire. "A History of the County of Oxfordshire" provides a detailed history of the parish from 1082. The 2011 census recorded the parish's population as 1,689. The village is known for the artistic colony and flamboyant social life of the Bloomsbury Group at Garsington Manor when it was the home from 1914 to 1928 of Philip and Ottoline Morrell, and for the Garsington Opera which was staged there from 1989 to 2010.
