Gambler's Book Club / GBC Press is a bookstore & small press dedicated to gambling. Now located at 5473 S Eastern Ave in Paradise, Nevada, it was originally located in the Huntridge area of Las Vegas. The company has operated for over 40 years. Along with original books on various forms of gambling, the company engaged in the reprinting of "classic" works related to gambling that had long passed out of copyright, furthering Founder John & Edna Luckman's vision of Gambler's Book Club as a place of learning for gamblers.

KTUD-CD, virtual channel 25 (UHF digital channel 20), was a low-powered, Class A independent television station licensed to Las Vegas, Nevada, United States. The station was owned by the Greenspun Broadcasting subsidiary of The Greenspun Corporation. Unlike other low-powered television stations not connected to a full-power mother station, the station was available on channel 14 through Cox cable systems in the Las Vegas Valley. The "-CD" suffix in the call letters denoted the station's status as a "Class A" digital television station, a slight upgrade from its previous "low power" (-LD) designation. The station's transmitter was located atop Mount Arden, 6 miles south of Henderson. Its studios and offices were located in unincorporated Paradise Valley, south of McCarran International Airport.

Del Sol Academy of the Performing Arts, commonly known as Del Sol High School, is a nine-month public high school in Las Vegas, Nevada and is part of the Clark County School District. Del Sol was one of three schools (including Canyon Springs and Spring Valley) to open in Fall 2004. In 2016, Del Sol High School was reestablished as a performing arts academy focusing on band, costume design, dance, mariachi, music production, orchestra, theater, theater tech and vocal performance. Del Sol’s first State Title in Athletics was by the Boys Bowling team in 2018.

The Liberace Museum Collection is a private museum collection that includes many stage costumes, cars, jewelry, lavishly decorated pianos and numerous citations for philanthropic acts that belonged to the American entertainer and pianist Wladziu Valentino Liberace, better known as Liberace. Originally exhibited in the former Liberace Museum located in Paradise, Nevada, the Liberace Foundation for the Creative and Performing Arts later housed the primary collection of Liberace's outfits at Thriller Villa, the former Las Vegas home of Michael Jackson, and displayed Liberace’s automobiles, related artifacts and occasional special exhibits at the Liberace Garage in Las Vegas. Liberace Garage doubled its square footage to approximately 10,000 in 2020, now facilitating storage of the entire Liberace Museum Collection, as well exhibit space.

The Pinball Hall of Fame is a museum for pinball machines that opened in Las Vegas, Nevada in November 2009. It is located at 4925 S. Las Vegas Boulevard. The museum is a project of the Las Vegas Pinball Collectors Club, and it features pinball machines from all eras, including some very rare machines such as Williams' Black Gold, Bally's Pinball Circus and Recreativos Franco's Impacto. It features nearly 700 different pinball games, including some classic video arcade games and other novelty machines of the past and present. The Pinball Hall of Fame is a nonprofit venture and its creation came about in part due to donations, which are still accepted. The museum is run by Tim Arnold, a veteran arcade operator who ran "Pinball Pete's" in East Lansing, Michigan. Fully staffed by volunteers, excess revenues are donated to the Salvation Army.

Sunset Regional Park, one of the largest parks in Las Vegas, is located near Harry Reid International Airport in the southeast part of the valley. The park is bordered by Sunset Road on the north, Eastern Avenue on the west and Warm Springs Road on the south. It is situated in close proximity to the affluent Tomiyasu neighborhood.

Frontier Airlines Flight 1326 was a Frontier Airlines regularly scheduled commercial domestic passenger flight from San Diego International Airport in San Diego, California to Harry Reid International Airport in Las Vegas, Nevada. In the late afternoon of October 5, 2024, the aircraft experienced a hard landing, resulting in flames shooting out of the landing gear area of the aircraft.

The UNLV Architecture Studies Library (ASL) is located in the Paul B. Sogg Architecture Building, located on the University of Nevada, Las Vegas campus. The services of the library address both the needs of the faculty and students of the UNLV School of Architecture, and also offers an email reference service. The Library provides historical and current information and resources about architecture in Las Vegas, primarily through its Las Vegas Architects and Buildings Database.

Casa de Shenandoah is the former estate of the singer Wayne Newton who used the property as a ranch for various animals. It is located on 39.5 acres (16.0 ha) in Paradise, Nevada, in the Las Vegas Valley. Newton initially purchased five vacant acres of the property in 1966 and gradually expanded it with several houses, including a mansion completed in 1978. In 2010, Newton proposed turning the estate into a public attraction, an idea that received opposition from nearby residents who had concerns about the traffic that such a project would bring. His proposal was approved by county officials, but was delayed in 2012 when his business partner on the project, CSD LLC, filed a lawsuit against him alleging that he and his family had interfered in the development plans. After legal issues were resolved, the property was put up for sale in 2013 and again in 2014. The estate ultimately opened as a public attraction on September 18, 2015, with Newton's involvement. It closed for renovations on April 24, 2018. Newton said the property would reopen to the public, although he and his wife subsequently withdrew the permits for the attraction in July 2018. It was sold in 2019 to Smoketree LLC, which put it up for sale a year later.

College of Liberal Arts is the humanities and social sciences college at the University of Nevada. The Nevada School of the Arts and the School of Social Research and Justice Studies are located in the college. It was founded in 2004. CLA contains fourteen departments and six programs and centers. More than half of all University of Nevada undergraduates enroll in CLA courses each semester. The College of Liberal Arts has over 200 full-time faculty and 44 support staff members.

Harry Reid International Airport (IATA: LAS, ICAO: KLAS, FAA LID: LAS) is an international airport in Paradise, Nevada, and is the main government airport for public use in the Las Vegas Valley, a metropolitan area in the U.S. state of Nevada, about 5 miles (8 km) south of Downtown Las Vegas. The airport is owned by the Clark County Commission and operated by the Clark County Department of Aviation. LAS covers 2,800 acres (11.3 km2) of land.The airport was built in 1942 and opened to airline flights in 1948. It has expanded since then and has employed various innovative technologies, such as common-use facilities. The airport has four runways and two passenger terminals. East of the passenger terminals is the Marnell Air Cargo Center, and on the west side of the airport are fixed-base operators and helicopter companies. The airport services as a base for Allegiant Air, Frontier Airlines, Southwest Airlines, and Spirit Airlines. The airport was also a hub for Bonanza Air Lines, Hughes Airwest, America West Airlines, and continued as a hub when America West merged into US Airways, until 2008. It is the busiest airport in the United States that does not operate as a hub for any of the five U.S legacy carriers. The airport is named after U.S. Senator Harry Reid, who represented Nevada in the Senate from 1987 to 2017. From 1968 prior to the renaming on December 14, 2021, the airport was called McCarran International Airport, and prior to 1968 it was named McCarran Field, after U.S Senator Pat McCarran who represented Nevada from 1933 until 1954.

British Airways Flight 2276 was a scheduled international passenger service from Las Vegas to London. On 8 September 2015, the Boeing 777-200ER operating the flight suffered an uncontained engine failure and fire in the left (#1) GE90 engine during take-off from Las Vegas-McCarran International Airport, prompting an aborted take-off and the evacuation of all passengers and crew. All 170 people on board survived, but 20 were injured. The aircraft, which suffered moderate damage to a section of its forward fuselage as of a result of the vigorous fire, was repaired and returned to commercial passenger service in March 2016. The fire was caused by metal fatigue in a compressor disk, leading to detachment of the main fuel supply line.
