All Saints’ Church, Steetley is a Grade I listed parish church in the Church of England in Whitwell, Derbyshire.

Shireoaks Hall is a grade II* listed 17th-century country house in the hamlet of Shireoaks, 2+1⁄4 miles (3.6 km) north-west of Worksop, Nottinghamshire, UK.The modestly sized house was originally built for Thomas Hewett, probably by John Smythson (son of Robert Smythson), between 1612 and 1617. It was remodelled around 1700 and further restored in 1812 and again after 1975. It is built of coarse square rubble with a slate roof and stands in a rectangular 40-acre (16 ha), formerly open parkland with avenues of trees, fishponds and a deerpark, which is now enclosed as farmland.The 17th and 18th-century landscaped park that surrounds the hall is Grade II* listed on the Register of Historic Parks and Gardens.

Hodthorpe is an urban village in the parish of Hodthorpe and Belph, Bolsover, Derbyshire, lying close to the Nottinghamshire border and on the edge of Sherwood Forest. The village has two principal streets, Queens Road (the main road running through the village) and Kings Street. It has one shop, a village primary school, and a Working Men's club. There are two parks. The heritage site of Creswell Crags, famous for its prehistoric cave art, lies close to the village.

Rhodesia is a village and civil parish in the Bassetlaw district of Nottinghamshire, England. The village lies just west of the town of Worksop, and approximately 20 miles (32 km) east-southeast of Sheffield. At the 2011 Census, the population of the civil parish was 982, and this increased to 1,173 at the 2021 census.The village was built in 1920, near the small established settlement of Haggonfields, to provide housing for coal miners working at the nearby Shireoaks and Steetley pits. It was named after G. Preston Rhodes, then chairman of Shireoaks Colliery. Tylden Road, the main road through the village, was named after the pit's first manager. There are no longer any active mines in the area. Rhodesia consists of just over 300 houses, a pub at Woodend, one shop, a school and a village hall. Part of the village is bordered by the Chesterfield Canal and it is also adjacent to the A57. Rhodesia is located between Shireoaks and Retford railway stations, the Robin Hood Line passes through the village.

Steetley Company Ground is a cricket ground in Shireoaks, Nottinghamshire, England. The ground was laid out in 1951 and the first important match on the ground was in 1955, when the Nottinghamshire Second XI played the Yorkshire Second XI. The ground has played host to both Nottinghamshire Second XI and Derbyshire Second XI matches in the Second XI Championship and Second XI Trophy.In 1961, the ground hosted a first-class match in the County Championship when Nottinghamshire played Sussex. Norman Hill of Nottinghamshire made 201 not out, then Alan Oakman of Sussex made 229 not out, and after two declarations Sussex won by nine wickets. The pitch and ground were excellent, but in the relatively remote location the gate takings were poor, and Nottinghamshire never played there again.The ground held a single Women's One Day International in 1979 when England women played West Indies women.

Belph is a hamlet in the parish of Hodthorpe and Belph, within the district of Bolsover, in the county of Derbyshire, England. It is part of the Welbeck Abbey Estate, on the edge of modern-day Sherwood Forest. The village is 1 mile (1.6 km) south-east of Hodthorpe, 1 mile (1.6 km) south-east of Whitwell and 3 miles (4.8 km) south-west of Worksop (where the population is listed). The village is the easternmost settlement in Derbyshire. The village has two parts, Belph Village and Penny Green. Belph Village consists of about 30 houses either side of a single lane. A number were originally farmhouses; all except Springfield Farm are now private homes. Penny Green consists of a row of eight labourers' cottages built in the 1900s on the Whitwell Station Road, and a large stone cottage. The latter was once the Portland Arms (a pub). On the Creswell Crags Road are Brook Cottages, three stone-built 19th-century cottages. An area of the village known as the "Millash" was located where a stream flows from a natural fault. The ruins of two mills survive, the rest of the hamlet being buried under a spoil tip left by the now defunct Whitwell Colliery.

Shireoaks railway station serves the village of Shireoaks in Nottinghamshire, England. It was opened by the Sheffield and Lincolnshire Junction Railway in 1849. The station is 13+3⁄4 miles (22.1 kilometres) east of Sheffield on the Sheffield-Gainsborough Central service.

Shireoaks is a former pit village and civil parish in Nottinghamshire, located between Worksop and Thorpe Salvin on the border with South Yorkshire. The population of the civil parish was 1,432 at the 2011 census, and this increased to 1,774 in the 2021 census. Shireoaks colliery was opened in 1854. It was closed on 25 May 1991 and was capped in August 1992. The depth of the shaft was 483.5m and the shaft's diameter was 3.66m. The Chesterfield Canal and River Ryton both run through the village. The main A57 between Sheffield and Worksop passes close to the village and there are rail services to Sheffield, Lincoln and Cleethorpes on the Sheffield to Lincoln Line, which has a station at Shireoaks railway station.

Worksop Manor is a Grade I listed 18th-century country house in Bassetlaw, Nottinghamshire. It stands in one of the four contiguous estates in the Dukeries area of Nottinghamshire. Traditionally, the Lord of the Manor of Worksop may assist a British monarch at his or her coronation by providing a glove and putting it on the monarch's right hand and supporting his or her right arm. Worksop Manor was the seat of the ancient Lords of Worksop. The house was an important English country house of the Talbot and Howard families between the 1580s and its destruction by fire in 1761; an even grander rebuilding was only partially completed, and after 1777 it was neglected and largely dismantled in the 1830s. The building as it is now, greatly reduced and rebuilt but still very large, is mostly 18th and 19th-century. It has 2 and 3 storeys of ashlar with hipped slate roofs, forming a quadrangle approximately 25 bays wide by 14 bays deep.

Netherthorpe Aerodrome (ICAO: EGNF) is located 2 NM (3.7 km; 2.3 mi) west by north of Worksop, Nottinghamshire, England. The aerodrome is in the Metropolitan Borough of Rotherham close to the village of Thorpe Salvin. Netherthorpe Aerodrome is part of a local landowner's estate. The aerodrome is operated by Sheffield Aero Club which has three hangars, numbers 1 to 3. Other aircraft, including the club's training aircraft, are parked outside. Aircraft maintenance is available from Dukeries Aviation Ltd, which operates from the single maintenance hangar. Netherthorpe Aerodrome has a CAA Ordinary Licence (Number P601) that allows flights for the public transport of passengers or for flying instruction as authorised by the licensee (Sheffield Aero Club Limited).
