The Montagnes Noires (French, 'black mountains'), also known as the Montagne Noire (French, 'black mountain') and in Breton as Menez Du are an east–west oriented range of hills in Brittany centred on the town of Gourin. They culminate in the peak of Roc de Toullaeron (Breton: Roc'h Toull-al-Laeron) which attains a height of either 318m or 326m. Other significant peaks include Ar Menez (304m) and Montagne Noir (307m) (or, in Breton: Menez Du). They are composed from a range of Precambrian, Ordovician, Silurian and Devonian rocks forming a part of the Variscan orogen and include sandstones, quartzites and slates.The hills form a part of the border between the départements of Finistère and Morbihan and just extend into Côtes-du-Nord.

The Jardin botanique des Montagnes Noires (6 hectares) is a botanical garden specializing in conifers, located in Le Fell, Spezet, Finistère, Brittany, France. It is open daily; an admission fee is charged. The garden was established in 1995 and dedicated primarily to conifers. It currently contains about 700 species in total, including 500 conifer taxa as well as bamboos, camellias, heather, magnolias, rhododendrons, and roses. Château de Trévarez

The Château de Trévarez is a stately home in the commune of Saint-Goazec in Finistère, in Brittany, France.The former manor house was built in the 16th century (the west part) and the 17th century (the east part). The present structure was commissioned by James de Kerjégu, Chairman of the General Council of Finistère, and built at the end of the 19th century by the French architect Walter-André Destailleur. Trévarez is one of the most recent châteaux built in France. Construction was completed around the beginning of the twentieth century. In 1941, the château was taken over by the German occupying forces. The castle was bombed on 30 July 1944 by the Royal Air Force.
